We were so excited to build with Pulte, as we had heard great things. Most of what we heard was not our experience. Working with Charity in the sales office was the highlight of the experience. She was super communicative, friendly and went above & beyond for us. After purchasing our lot and selecting our finishes, it was downhill from there. The construction managers would rarely communicate, and even when we reached out would it respond to emails. They didn’t follow through on things they said they would do. Overall pretty disappointing build experience. Our sales consultant was great... he was very knowledgable and responsive to inquiries. Our field manager was briefly responsive but after slab was poured, we had very sparse communication. We didn't know where our house was in the build process and when questions/concerns arose, they went unanswered. Our punch list was incomplete or completed haphazardly. Quality is poor from poor paint job, obvious dinged trim/carpentry work, cracked backsplash and shower tile, VERY roughly mud & taped garage.

Follow up on issues not addressed at time of closing has been very poor. Responsiveness by phone and email has likewise been poor. HVAC was not connected when we closed and neither was the kitchen sink, dishwasher or disposal. Cabinets were misaligned at time of closing and still have not been corrected. What started as an outstanding process has finished very poorly. At this point, I could not recommend Pulte as a builder.

The home building experience was an awful process. We were watching the home be built and had to point out errors constantly to the construction team that they weren't catching. These errors included the door sizes, railing color, warped doors, bowed walls (many bowed walls) among other items. The house and lot were dirty and seemed to never be cleaned throughout the entire process until the absolute very end. These homes are basically a slam dunk. Pulte hires contractors to perform the associated task for all trades. The companies do not provide sufficient training and oversight to verify the particular trades have performed their crafts correctly. Pulte is also guilty of the same lack of quality control. Pre-closing punch list are not completed at closing and obtaining the attention toward completing punch list concerns is a struggle after closing. Dear Pulte Homes, It is very disappointing how there was no clear explanation regarding the tax abatement and mortgage payments. It is clearly an impure intention how Pulte Homes holds the buyers' mortgage payments and pays them back once a year. The whole mortgage process took over a year, but there was no explanation about the tax abatement system until our first mortgage payment. Also, the quality of the house is way lower than our expectation that our construction manager has to come to fix our house almost every week, and it seems like it will take a long time for us to fix them ...

If anyone had supervised the work as house was being built we wouldn’t be wasting our time and Pulte’s fixing and completing items post closing. These things should all have been done pre closing. Closing itself on 12/29 Was a nightmare with total lack of communication.

I opted for Pulte because of the name, However, it is just an illusion. So many issues in the house and no one responds in a timely manner. We just have to follow up again and again, however, no one really cares. Pulte just wanted to close on the house and we got fooled thinking they will take care of the issues. But we were wrong. For example, Just a month after moving in, there is a big crack in the basement foundation wall and water is leaking inside the basement. Sad part is, no one from Pulte came to look at it. Mass Production Contrustion at the expense of quality

The only reason I purchased from Pulte is because of the floor plans and location. Aside from that expect builder grade and sloppy craftsmanship in all internal finishes. I upgraded to the gourmet kitchen package and it's been a complete disappointment. I'd had to have pulte return to fix broken cabinets, leaking plumbing connections and holes in back of cabinets. I've bought preconstruction from other home builder in the past but never have experienced such poor level of craftsmanship. The day of closing, all cabinets were missing all door knobs!! Talk about lack of attention ...

Do Not Close with Outstanding Issues

My advice is to never close on the home when their are outstanding items that need to be complete. This was our first time building a home. We did not truly understand that the home should be complete (move-in ready) the day before close. Now, we still have items not done and I have to constantly follow up to get anything done. Lesson learned.

one example cabinets selected at the design center was level 6, but they installed level 1 and poorly installed and not even completed, very disappointing and the next step which is the reply to this survey will determine if the rating goes even lower.

I would never purchase from Pulte again. They are disorganized from the beginning until the end. In addition, communication is lacking with with homebuyers. We were delayed by almost 4 months and not once did someone reach out to provide that status. Mid-way through, we were told our paint selections would only be available in flat paint due to supply chain. I spoke to the local Sherwin Williams store and they had no problem securing the exact same in eggshell and semi-gloss. The quality of all the materials feel very cheap and the work looks like it was rushed. For the price paid I definitely expected at least a bit more quality in regards to carpets, vinyl sheets in bathrooms and flooring.

From the beginning to the end. We did not have a good experience with Pulte homes. Very very disappointing. So much misinformation and miscommunication. Pulte made promises on things that did not occur. For such a prestige’s home. Pulte did not stand up to their name. Poor quality in workmanship. Poor customer service. So many things still not fixed. Everything was rushed to build the homes. Other homeowners feel the same way.

It started with my Pulte realtor. No help, no updates, nothing as we lived out of state. At that point I should have known how this was going to go. We closed all cash even before our house was even inspected properly. Project manager was useless

Every meeting with project manager was a waste of time. He gave wrong information on many occasions that had us believe things would be done a certain way. Items discussed at multiple pre walk through were never addressed. Sheetrock seams on ceilings did not receive a finish coat before paint. Exterior of house needs full repaint due to touch ups not matching. Garage door was never painted. One circuit of outlets in kitchen does not work ( breaker will not reset). Didn’t receive a second garage door opener. There is more, but this is only supposed to take 1to 2 minutes.
