The experience was horrible. The loan and home insurance was terrible with several different and unexplained quotes, unanswered calls, and errors. There is zero quality of workmanship and materials. Everything is damaged in some way from improper handling and no care taken to prevent damage. Some examples are : driveway pavers have paint and roof mortar, unevenly framed walls that have humps and curves, paint and caulk on the tile floors and grout, dull paint finish on my kitchen cabinetry, scratches on my windows, stains on my master tub, unlevel window sills by up to an inch from corner to ...

Poor quality and bad finishing touches

The day of our celebration walk we noticed there were holes and bad paint job all over the house. Shoe moldings had dirt and damages.....our quartz kitchen counter too was damaged during construction so was our fidge. It had scratch marks all over. There were damages to some planks on our LVP flooring during construction. Kitchen cabinets had scratch marks, our front yard's grass is missing....steps on stairs are loose and hazardous! Do their homework care about the buyer I closed on a home that was 3/4 finished with promises that it would be taken care of and til today 6 weeks after closing they still are not completed they never return calls and they have poor service I wish I could sell back tomorrow

This is our third new build experience and by far the worst. From the very beginning sales experience all the way through to our closing and now into our one year warranty experience. It started with the sales agent making promises, in writing, that she couldn’t actually fulfill. After escalating the issue internally I was told by the sales agent’s manager, and I quote, “if I wasn’t happy, why did I choose Pulte”? After the build started I personally found many quality issues that were overlooked by the PM. This was most likely due to Pulte choosing the cheapest sub contractors. ...

The builder repeatedly lied and said he would “take care of ” something that wasn’t right according to my inspector, but unless the city inspector picked it up and required him to fix it he would just cover it up. Very sloppy workmanship throughout.

Sloppy workmanship

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of products used in my home, the sloppy workmanship within the house. ..unfinished walls, clumps of plaster where wall connects to door frame. Dust painted over on surfaces so not smooth. There was no priming of paint on walls, ceiling or wood trim. I can see the Sheetrock through the paint on the walls and ceiling, paint is peeling off the woodwork and can see bare wood. When pull painters tape off wall it takes the paint with it. While out site super is working to fix issues it has been an extremely slow, painful, and stressful process. It took 3 visits for our home to even get the correct attic insulation level. Tile work was absolutely terrible throughout and we requested a new crew from the get go but now a third visit is scheduled finally with a new crew to completely rip out and replace the entire wet bar backsplash. Shoddy build quality with an extremely low level of respect and care for your home. They hire the cheapest labor they can - many don't even speak English - and it shows. Truly a production style build process in which corners are cut. Communication is incredibly lacking and you are treated like you don't matter and aren't a part of the process. I would never, ever, ever build a home with Pulte again.

This is the fourth house I have purchased in my life and it was the worst experience I have ever had. They moved my closing date up by 2 weeks even though I was assured I wouldn't close before mid-August (which was the time frame I requested) and the house wasn't even ready. At every level of work: cosmetic to structural the quality is poor. During inspection issues were noted with the AC not cooling properly. I was assured it was fine. There is no supervision on the job site and the superintendent lies to you and says no its ok that is the way Pulte does there work! Then when the blue tape walk though comes around simple things like doors closing correctly don't then you wait 14 days for someone to come and fix them. the bath tub is so scratched up the worker said he cant do any more> Iam waiting another 14 days for someone to tell me the something I cant take out the scratches

Terrible service, slow response, missing details, non existent project manager for most of build

This was a horrific experience. It took over a month after closing to get a dishwasher. We still do not have the correct refrigerator. Sales person Kurt was great! Last of 4 project managers tried to play recovery from the failure of the 3 previous non-existent ones. Banking and finance through Pulte move at a snails pace. Insurance was a rip off through Pulte and wasn’t enough to cover the house. This still has to be changed! It was a nightmare. I can’t rate less than 1 star without ignoring the email.

There was 4 months delay. The quality of material is bad and it is badly built with seams, dents, defects everywhere. The HOA is also awful, not responding to your inquiries. Not worth the money at all!

There are multiple issues in the house. Sod was not laid properly and was not watered properly until closing because of which most of my sod is already dead in spite of regular watering. Issues that were identified during prewalk are yet to be fixed and many issues identified during prewalk were only fixed after closing.

Well I have been constantly lied to by the Pulte team and they never return phone calls. The quality of the work is a joke and the Pulte quality video is total fiction and does not represent what I have seen and speaking to numerous neighbours they are all having similar issues. Bad experience as a first time home buyer

I was forced to close without issues been taken care found before and during the celebration meeting. I was given letter of completion from Vice president of Pulte with the list of issues that will be completed by Aug 13th. Field manager stopped responding to calls/ emails right after giving me that letter and I am still running behind the customer care for getting my issues fixed. Had a very bad experience.

From the outset, Pulte rushed the process. They rushed the closing of the house telling us “we need our numbers” and threatened to charge us more if we fell outside of their perimeters. Had so many issues with our home in Creekside Crossing Plainfield Illinois. Our sales experience was pretty lacking and it really relied on us to make the right decisions here which of course led to some gaps at the end (seemed like she never though we would buy, even after we put down our deposit). I am absolutely amazed, astonished even, at how poor the quality of the subcontractors’ work was. Sloppy painting, stained carpet, broken windows, malfunctioning oven, upside down doors, etc.
