My family closed on our new home on 3/24. We were forced to close on an incomplete home because we were told that it would be ready, closing was scheduled, therefore we ended our former accommodation. We showed up to the walkthrough a few days prior to closing to find a house that was nowhere near finished. Huge holes in the ceiling, appliances not hooked up, paint not finished, drywall not finished, exterior not finished, carpet not properly installed, GFCI’s not placed correctly, the list goes on and on…. New home buyers should thoroughly inspect their new home before closing. Once you close, and there are issues with the home, you than have to rely on the pulte warranty department to get the needed repairs fix and it will be a process!!

Honestly if I was the one that came and look at the home I would not have purchased it. The first day I own the house there has been a lot of problems that has still not been fixed I have here for 4 weeks and still have all the same problems. Due to lack of communication between our construction manager and the closing department, our closing date was pushed back twice (both time super last minute). The quality of the house is super lacking in the workmanship and quality. Where should I begin? At the final walk through of the home, just 3 days before closing, we walked the property for the “final” review. The house was not even close to ready and extremely dusty. The stove’s hood was visibly unaligned with a 1 foot open hole. In the outside of the house they left a big noticeable patch where they have tried to fix the hood (the hole by the hood in the inside of the home, going to the outside of the home). Rushed process, poor build quality, customer experience process not in line with house prices. The builder has lost their premium touch, but not their premium prices. House materials, lack of quality assurance processes, poor customer communication, and a clunky warranty process certainly left a poor experience. Would not buy again.

Pulte May be the leading builder in the nation but the experience in building the house and the quality they deliver is poor. I felt I paid premium price and got a not impressive product. Overall I give you a D. You just want to sell homes. The home we purchased had several issues. We had the hardest time getting these concerns addressed. Some of your employees just don’t bother answering their phone calls/texts or returning either. Your mortgage/title, and insurance company is a joke. The incompetence was staggering. Not sure why I bothered with this as corporate greed has taken over. Nothing will change.

The build process was a joke with a delay at every turn and everything blamed on COVID, but the same model house in the same neighborhood moving faster than others and then you're told "well that's a different elevation". If you complain about the delays your construction super would say "well you could be like this house who's been delayed for # months." Be careful, if you are expecting Pulte to build you a "Custom Home" you're going to be disappointed. Craftmanship is poor, we are not planning to live in our new home long so we are not worried about what happens in 5-10 years. Pulte builds okay homes. The floor plans are nice; but they take too many shortcuts and very minimal accountability. If you have a great field manager; that is a great thing. However, keep in mind that the field manager is incentivized to close on-time, regardless of quality. We had issues and still have issues. The same goes for a customer care manager; if you have a great customer care manager; rest back he/she will take care of it. Builder struggled to find contractors to do the work. Contractors either had a bad attitude or poor craft. The quality of the build is not worthy what we paid for. It is a disappointing process and end result.
