Crooks...the only way to describe them. The only saving grace has been our construction manager - Ali. He is responsive and explains things. Pulte's policies are ridiculous. Also Pulte Mortgage is nothing but a bunch of scam artists.

Beautiful Design Poor Workmanship

I loved the design and quality of the model home. However, what I received was quite the opposite. The construction team appeared to focus only on cost and timing. The quality of workmanship was less than poor both external and internal. Issues that were identified at the walkthrough were not corrected. The internal painting is horrific. Window seal/caulking is cracked in multiple places. Electrical Outlets, HVAC vents, decorative molding are crooked. Carpet is fraying. One would not want to buy a new home only to see rain water coming in, uneven floors, cranky garage doors, trash provision missing, appliances not working, etc. Unfortunately, this has been our experience. Raising concerns have not helped either - our point of contact for construction (at the time of closure) verbally assured us these would be taken care of but after about 4 weeks simply came back to say he/she has taken care of all issues without doing anything. The paint job in many areas of the house is terrible, leaving the surfaces unfinished and unattractive. The microwave was not installed correctly from the start. The construction team failed to ensure proper installation and oversight of the house build. I have tried multiple times to report the microwave issue, but no single department wants to take responsibility, and they keep redirecting me between departments. The microwave issue has still not been resolved for almost a month.

This is our third Pulte home and by far the worst workmanship. Work orders are not addressed in a timely manner. The trades do not protect floors, walls, etc while doing work. I have submitted several items to the portal and it takes weeks to get a response after I follow-up.

We paid alot for the home but didn't get the quality we expected. From plumbing leaks in ceiling to basement walls leaking. Some of these issues are still not fixed. The delay in these issues getting fixed is causing me a hardship in dealing with cleaning up after repeated leaks and therefore leaving this review.

Quality of workmanship is absolutely horrible! Responsiveness to getting the repairs done on the punch list is terrible. I've never experienced such a terrible new home purchase. I would not recommend Pulte Homes.

Builder expense trumps quality and customer satisfaction

Overall it is clear that the builder expense trumps quality and customer experience. Examples include garage door wasn’t working. It was determined it was due to electrical line to sensor being damaged in wall. Solution was to run new line outside of the wall and leave it hanging. Garage light and opener are more than an arms length away from door- solution was leave it cause it would be expensive to fix. Very few options for Palmetto Series. Unwilling to budge on anything from cookie cutter plans. Construction Manager was dismissive towards women. He did not listen to concerns until escalated to upper management. Construction defects were grudgingly completed. The various trades did sloppy work. Cheap quality materials.

The trim on our cabinets is not lined up there's a nail coming out of our floor there's some epoxy left on a cabinet face there are tacks poking up at every transition to carpet we have paint splattered on our front stoop we have damaged shingles one of our cabinets are cracked a seam is opening up on our kitchen cabinet and several of our windows only open half way. we have brought this to the attention of the service team multiple times and keep getting told it they passed it on. Most of my issues would have been fine had the Construction Manager not overpromised everything. He set expectations that we were hoping for and the result was much much lower. The so-called "perfectionist" produced a home that clearly shows a lack of quality workmanship. Sale process was quick, but too many issues with quality

While the buying experience was quick, and was given update on progress regularly, the quality of the house was poor, and it is taking forever to get the issues fixed. There were around 20 issues from which include some safety concerns. I am still frustrated following up on half of the pending issues 1.5 months into occupancy. My suggestion to buyers, don't close until all the issues are fixed.

New home buyers should thoroughly inspect their new home before closing. Once you close, and there are issues with the home, you than have to rely on the pulte warranty department to get the needed repairs fix and it will be a process!!
