Once we sold our existing home, we were needing one asap. When we couldn't find a resale with our requirements, we decided to look at Pulte Homes in Carnegie Ridge. They had a spec home under construction that would be ready in two months. It had pretty much everything we were looking for. Once they set a closing date, they stuck to it. The designer for the interior did an awesome job upgrading enough to produce a beautiful and well color coordinated home. The construction manager, Stewart, was great. He kept us updated weekly on the construction process. He worked hard on answering any questions or addressing any issues we had. Due to the poor quality of workmanship, the other measures also followed suit. A good neighborhood with nice sized lots and house plans. However, not good value for the cost of the home. We expected impeccable workmanship but were constantly disappointed even after repairs were done. You cannot rely on anyone doing their job effectively. You must always follow up behind everyone to ensure things are done correctly. Considering we have no clue about construction, it was very inconvenient not to mention aggrevating. Would not recommend them as a builder.

This is the third home that I have had built end by far the worst quality. The on-site team is very unresponsive and when they do come for repairs they repair the issue and walk away with no known improvement in the work. Additionally, the ticket process doesn’t seem to work any better either. I put four tickets in over a week ago and I have heard nothing on 3 of the 4 issues. Honestly, I would not recommend Pulte for quality at all. Grant is known in the neighborhood for his lack of his response to homeowners once they move in.

Beginning with the sales staff, the project general manager, and customer service, the Pulte team is truly exemplary. Considering the many home choices available Pulte stands out as a "best in class" builder because they deliver on what they say and if a mistake is experienced the Pulte team is front and center to make corrections. My second Pulte home and I wouldn't purchase from anyone else.

We had an amazing experience with onsite sales and the construction team. Since closing we have had a few warranty items come up, one of which is major. The Warranty Manager for our community it very lackadaisical about the whole things. His communication is poor & follow through is untimely. There is just no sense of urgency. It is frustrating because we want to enjoy our new home, but the issues have left portions of our house under construction with no end date for the repairs.

We are very happy with our purchase in Somerset Crossing! The home is built well and the team has been extremely responsive. Beautiful neighborhood and great neighbors! Happy to call this home.

I'm truly baffled when I see 5-star reviews. Must be the Stockholm syndrome: Paid enormous amount of money for a shockingly poorly built house - what to do except celebrate! There not much else or recourse. Everything I'm stating below is also corroborated by all the neighbors I've spoken to regarding a common, shared building experience we've had. We love the "idea" of the house and the general design, and the great location. However, from beginning to end everything is built sloppily by contractors who openly despise the properties they are building. If they didn't despise the house they are building, why would they drop their trash into the a/c-heat registers? Leave cans and cig butts all over the house? Not protect the tubs and showers and toss nails and construction debris into them and scratching them? Why would they mix their cement on the unprotected floor? Why would they leave nails sticking an inch out of the drywall? Or install a cracked tile on the stove backsplash? (and leave it) Why would they destroy windows, doors with acid and not clean it up? (forcing replacement) Why would they drip paint on the screens on leave it like that? Why would they leave splintered doors in every room? Or leave gaps, scratches and chunks of wood splintered off your beautiful oak flooring? Why would they leave 1/2" of brick flashing overhanging all over the house? Nails all over the roof? Scratched and gouged window sills from the siders dragging their goods out thru the windows? A fallen telephone pole in the back yard? A driveway so badly done with such low standards and zero Pulte supervision that it has to be redone - but making us wait 3 months after move-in (preventing sod install and other brickwork)? Siding buckled so bad that passersby ask about it? Our list (and the lists of several neighbors we've met) is too long to lay out here. It's bad. Pulte has already cycled through (lost) three site construction supers just since we signed the papers. Why do they not ask themselves, "What are we doing wrong?" We've been in the house for ~6 weeks. The "list" we've provided on items not considered "warranty" but just not done right by the construction crew are now being referred to their warranty department by the new super. (after no response from 'previous' site super on several promises over the last two months) If Pulte has a bad reputation in this area, they've earned it. ... More

There were a few items that should be included in a house. A garage door opener, pulls on cabinets, and vents in the toilets. You all really seem to step over dollars to save pennies. If I would of known the above along with the fact that you were not willing at all to help with changes on a house that was not sheet rocked is very disappointing. Would not recommend you all or buy another home from you.

Customers service beyond expectations. OUTSTANDING

This is our second new build we have purchased and while some of the features of the house are better than out first, there are details that are needs improvement. Visible dry wall tape that has been painted over in the owners room. Dry wall corners that is protruding/bent through the wall texture. The floor in the owners room excessively pops/shifts near the closet, the same closet door sticks. floor shifts/pops right in front of the balcony door. Messy caulking on the exterior of the balcony door. You can feel the subfloor surface is not entirely level when walking over certain areas. Finishing work on the cabinets in the bathrooms/kitchen messy or not done. Water damage on the baseboards in a bathroom. Some of these are not as big of a deal than others but quality in workmanship is the issue. Trustworthiness, so far so good. We got a third party inspection done and Pulte completed all of the findings. During our walk through we pointed out some details we did not like and they did their best to complete them. We had one service ticket submitted for the dishwasher and they were very quick to come out and resolve the issue. The dry wall corner that is bent through the dry wall texture is something that the builder said they will fix verbally on the day we got our keys but we yet to follow through in submitting the service ticket yet so we will see how they respond. ... Generally pleased

The quality of the package for a Pulte home is well designed with value added bonus systems which make the package of a Pulte home a good buy. The onsite team here in Veramendi are above the bar in excellence and responsiveness.

Love my new home! The interior and exterior are great. Best place I have lived so far.

Toured a home under construction in Dec 2019, had about two months of work left, signed contract. Failed inspections delayed, then rain weather delayed by a month, then pandemic delayed. Repeatedly asked for a detailed schedule of work, never received. All of these on their own is understandable, but getting to explanations behind delays didn't come until I pressed hard on leadership in May. Meanwhile, imagine being told the closing date was tentatively set for Feb, then delayed to early Apr, then delayed to late Apr, then to May, then to June, then back to May but only b/c you expressed frustration. Metallic Roof, Impact Windows and Doors, Garage Door electric Motor. All of this is standard on any Pulte Home in "Parkview at Hillcrest" that's what sold me out. Happy with our brand new home.

I have bought a Pulte Group home before and by far this was the best experience, even when the others were also very good. From the sales person to the design team to builder to warranty department every single person involved has been excellent and very courteous even during very trying times. I would definitely buy from PULTE again.

We love it but follow up on issues has been very slow.

We’ve had so much unfinished work in our home (blue taped areas not completed) and it was not cleaned prior to our move-in even though we walked through while a large group were “cleaning”. I never saw a cleaning product in their hands, just dirty wet rags smearing my counters. I had to ask our project manager if they could clean the patio door and high windows as they were leaving. And they barely did that. We opened a closet after signing and it was covered in dead moths (couldn’t see the floor). I had to scrub and scrape Dried grout from the tile prior to washing the floors. Within two weeks of closing on the house had to have the air conditioner repaired because it wasn't cooling the house. Then a week later it is starting again. Our AC unit ran constantly and the temperature continued to increase above where we had it set and we had to have it repaired again. The tile work was less than what I would have expected. The issues were not obvious when we walked through prior to closing. The floor tiles weren't leveled enough to even be able to slide a mop bucket across the floor without it tipping over. In the master bath shower the tile work is not what one would expect from a professional installation. While this house is definitely built better than our last one, it is also at a higher price point where I would expect more attention to detail and craftsmanship. We were told that a list would be provided that had all of the paint colors, etc. so that if we need to do touchup we can. When I look at the list, it doesn't provide any information on colors. I had some damage to the stucco that I need to repair but I have yet to find a reference to the color of the exterior so that I can complete the repair. ... More

As homebuyers we looked at many homes built by various builders. We choose Pulte because the quality shown in the models homes was beautiful. Our sales person promised the same quality to be in our new home. Pulte fell short. They build homes very fast and the quality and workmanship is not there. Our home was not perfect and beautiful the day of closing, in fact that day the drywall trimmers and painters were still trying to fix issues from the walk thru. Pulte does not have quality professional drywall trim and painters. Their work is terrible from ceilings bubbling and repaired numerous times, excessive spackel left on trim, to paint drips, to unpainted areas, to paint on hardwood floors. Throughout the home there are other issues, some which wouldn’t have happened if supervision and attention to detail was there. The lack of quality is upsetting to say the least. As buyers you did expect a punch list of minor issues at closing and if that was all we had it would be fine. That is not the case for our home. New home buyer please be cautious. The beautiful model home you see is not always the home you see when you open your front door for the first time. We wish ours was, it would eliminated our frustration and stress as Pulte workers try to make it as beautiful as a model home weeks later. ... More
