Our home buying experience was not the best, our loan officer was not much help with questions, our builder accidentally nicked a water line and created water damage all along our bottom main floor weeks before closing and did not disclose the information with us. They have not gone above and beyond to remedy the situation due to their lack of communication.

Our home buying experience was one of the worst - this was my 6th new home purchase. It was horrible for a constellation of reasons. It started with the sales agent giving misinformation on more than one occasion, a sales manager who was spiteful when confronted with issues or challenges in her approach, a design center that appears to have the philosophy of “you will take what we want to give you” and not the “customer is right or valued philosophy. Overall the buying experience was not great. Right from the time of choosing the lot till the celebration walk there were lot of issues. The buyer is always treated with rude answers. First of all not enough time is given to decide on anything, no clear explanation is given about the land, floor plan and customization, being a first time buyer we struggled a lot by the way we were treated. Almost it felt like pulte has this attitude towards customers " take it or leave it " as there are lot of people waiting to buy. What a nightmare

Pulte does not supervise subcontractors and demand that work be done right the first time. Subcontractors do the bare minimum. They are supposed to clean up after themselves, but this is not enforced, so our lot and house were trashed repeatedly. There is no pride in workmanship.

From the mortgage to still trying to get multiple poor quality and craftsmanship issues fixed, it’s been a nightmare. House should have never passed inspection with all the issues. The original “foreman” left to take another position so I guess he didn’t care. The new boss Don has inherited his problems and is trying his best. If this was custom built with conventional construction loans, they would never get the 20% hold “punch list” payment. No wonder Pulte does business this way.

Be very careful to get all the details that may help you make an informed decision to by . Poultry has a policy of not availing things you need to know before you go to p&s and contract to by. If I was made more aware I would not have done business with them.

Pulte put us thru a lot stress, by demanding dead lines on situations that were beyond our control. Promises on the home were not kept, The communication between your departments like your lending department and sales office was extremely poor. I was told that concrete was going to be placed on the Side of the home, and later denied.

I feel like cheated. When I decided to buy a new construction house I had expectations to get a perfect house when I am paying close to my hard earned half Million dollars. When we had new house inspection and walk though we found too many issues which was not expected from a new construction. Drywall and finishing was very poor. A lack of respect, attention to detail and quality of construction is less than substandard. Finishes were done poorly and now that weather is changing it is apparent this it is not an energy efficient home. The cold comes right through the windows. Poor quality at an extremely expensive cost.

Poor site drainage/site engineering planning, unresponsive to post move in problems in first 30 days (example: electrical plug for kitchen range protrudes from wall so drawer on said range will not fully close, so was told to call Whirlpool and builder totally shrugged off repair for owner to deal with) we moved in on 13.Agosto.2020 and the more than 3 foot high weeds behind home are still uncut. 2 frikkin months. No help from pulte

After moving in, we found the garage was not insulated contrary to our purchase agreement. It then took numerous calls and threat of legal action to get this resolved. The contractors did a haphazard job fixing the issue. It also took multiple contractors multiple days to finish the work.

The most ridiculous builder ever.

We were told that we should pick Pulte Title to do the closing because being part of the parent company the things go much more smoothly. Lie. Total lie. Our final walkthrough was scheduled after the closing and the keys to the house were not given to us for two full days after the closing. And then when we needed repairs done, we simply did not get any response for weeks, and got service only after we escalated the matters to senior management.

Our Pulte home was rushed to be completed and it shows in the workmanship and detail. After several walk thru appointments and issues discussed, nothing was corrected prior to closing. It’s taken months of meetings, missed appointments, emails to even have companies come in to correct issues, and they end up making it worse. The homes are not well supervised or managed. Pulte wont help you in what ever situation you are. All they need is to complete with in the dead line unnecessary of what situation the homeowner is in. They make mistakes and you have to pay for it . In my case in they screwed up with the AC and they want me to pay for it.

Definitely not high standard compare to what you pay. Aims walls are not straight , and lots of thing you find out after final walk in. Poor quality. Not to mention the sales people ( at least ours on that time) that wasn’t clear about very important information about your lot we purchased , without showing us the real space and back yard we are getting - just let us add 30K more for ‘premium lot’ with worse shape of yard than regular lot.
