From day one we have been Mis-lead, flat out lied to at times, treated like just another number, given a bunch of lip service and have been extremely frustrated throughout this process. I am currently living in a Pulte home and yes the house is standing but their are so many small details that I am still trying to work with Pulte to fix. Closed 7 months late. We have 3 good size holes into our attic, and nobody at customer care will return my calls. For over a week I have been trying to get a hold of anyone. Easier time getting a root canal done. Avoid Pulte!

Our family has purchased five Pulte homes in the past few years. Pulte has changed. Their mortgage company will tell you they will work with you on pricing but then not match a competitive bid. Construction was a disappointment from start to finish. Sub contractors did poor work and not mutch follow up by supervision. Pulte insisted on closing on a home that was not finished and very dirty. It has been the worst experience of purchasing a new home ever. Had to get an attorney involved when we were told we did not qualify. Then the workers were told do not fix anything because our home was going to be sold as is. The appliances look like they are second hand they are so bad. Custom cabinets look awful. The whole house was painted with some sort of flat paint (I believe it may be primer). As we were told they could not get paint. What was supposed to take 6 months ended up taking a year. Closing was rescheduled 6 times. It’s not so much the length of time that was bothersome, but the constant promises that were always broken. We’ve now been in our home for nearly 2 months and there are still things incomplete with the home that were addressed months before closing. Would never choose Pulte again, nor would I recommend it to anyone because of the experience we had.

Poor communication starting with the sales representative to the field manager, etc. pre to post close. Careless mistakes made during the build process like drywalling over areas and very poor craftmanship from crooked framing, uneven door trims, nicks in walls and woodwork, chips in cabinets, scratches in exterior materials, gaps in installed items, woodwork, garage frame, missing materials, caulk that looked like a 4 year old did it, misalignment of doors and hardware, defects in materials that had to be replaced already...the list goes on. They are not trustworthy in completing home with quality materials, my previous apartment home paint job was 1000 times better. Fit and finish of pulte sucks. they want to squeeze as much as from customers during the pandemic. Material shortage is just a play they want to do.

Terrible craftsmanship, communications, zero honesty, responsiveness to issues was average or slightly above. People were pleasant to work with. The value of the home and the price I paid seem to be in two different worlds. I’ve been in my home for 1.5 months now still with items I’m waiting to be finished and finding more and more every day. Although we enjoy the location of our new home immensely, we are incredibly disappointed in the sloppiness of the work that was done on our home. Many of the craftsmen who were contracted to do things like flooring and windows did subpar work, and now we require them to come back and fix what should have been done right the first time. The construction manager changed several times, no communication, rushed process without the unit being complete and the people inside do not talk to one another other than sharing your confidential business. We closed on our home 12/30/2021. There is a myriad of issues with our home. The warranty department is overloaded with other homeowners with issues. One of our neighbors has been dealing with the same issues for over a year. John, head of SWFL Pulte warranty, says they have 47 people working in warranty. I suggested that Pulte hire more construction managers and better contractors vs. trying to deal with quality issues after. Why? Because the warranty people doing the warranty work are also subpar. With the number of issues we found during the inspections and walkthroughs, I am not confident that the house is of good quality. I now question if there were things we missed due to the shear amount we did find. It leads me to believe one of two things, the project manger saw the things that were wrong and didn't care or he had never done a walkthrough before showing us the house, both of which, are equally frightening.

DONT BUY WITH PULTE HONES -THE WORST

Worst experience of our lives changed so much on us. Extremely rude sales team, Kelly and sales manager mike. Regional president did nothing for us (k Christopher son) they all cover for each other. Most importantly workmanship is terrible took tons of pictures. We are re finishing a lot on our own so the house can look of descent quality. Couple bright spots on the construction team who worked with us to resolve everyone else’s mistakes. If you don’t care for quality and being just another sales number buy a home with pulte. I would do a ten times better job running this company.

This was supposed to be the happiest time of our life but it has absolutely been a nightmare! We actually had others by in the same community as us and we regret it! They have had very similar problems also a lot of the work very subpar and we’re still having many issues! We have to call or text many times over before we get a response! It has been an absolute nightmare and would never build with Pulte again.

The quality of work was horrible. The house had a layer of dust and film on all of the cabinets and countertops. I spent 2 hours cleaning out stucco from my half vent windows so that I could open and close them. The toilet had fece stains underneath the lid and the seat. I am aware of the problem builders are having retaining workers and getting materials due to Covid, but the buyer is the one paying for this shortcoming. The quality of the build and workmanship is very poor, and the companies response to correcting these issues is lacking thus far. The warranty folks have stepped up and are trying to resolve the issues and I am hopeful they will make things right. It is very frustrating to spend you time waiting on worker to show up and correct problems that should have been done right the first time.
