Home was finished over a month late due to multiple avoidable delays, most of which occurred due to lack of time management and communication by the builder. Will never build with or recommend anyone to build with Pulte.

Terrible building experience. Started filing warranty claims the day of closing. Not happy with the quality of the home at all. The workmanship is horrific and the "Pulte Promise" is nonexistent.

There was constant changes in story, rude staff

This was the worst home buying experience I have ever had. From the sales person who lied to us over 4 times, from personally having to talk to people to get things fixed proved that this was not worth the investment in time. Timelines were way off when they told us of the bill, they kept realtor in the dark and also messed up the title service paying our people. This is not acceptable when you are selling 350K homes.

We love the floorplan and design of our new home. Unfortunately, there has been one significant issue after another since our closing. The lack of response and attentiveness to major issues (flooding due to improper appliance installation requiring the replacement of our entire kitchen wood floors in the first week, electrical systems melting due to improper fireplace installation, front porch requiring complete demolition and re-pouring of concrete just to name a few) has left us shocked. We really like the design of the house. There is a lot of storage space. You do, however, pay extra for every little things. The things that come standard are so basic that everyone - from the sales person to the consultant at the design meeting highly encourages you to upgrade, which then, of course, drives up the cost for the house. Most frustrating has been our closing experience. We had a pre-closing walk-through date set. I've owned a few homes but this was my first build and unfortunately, this whole process has made me not want to build again. It has been very frustrating and almost 2 months after closing I have a list of corrections that I am still waiting to be addressed. At least with preowned homes, you know what you are walking into and what you have to do. I never expected to have to wait on things to be finished or corrected once closing on a brand new build. Very disappointed.

Never again should you let your house close before the builder has completed each and everything without anything pending. Even something as little as putting a nail in the wall. Because once your home is closed, forget about getting those items done. The project manager will not respond to any emails or calls. My yard was graded and seeded with lawn but had significant amount of concrete rocks and stones. In fact there were more rocks then mud. Sales and mortgage service were great. Construction process follow up also at a high level. Unfortunately, the workmanship quality isn’t just there. Very poor care for final touches such as painting and cleaning. Their MO is to let you tell them during your final walk through what is not to your satisfaction and then they will fix. Very disappointing, I don’t recommend Pulte at all.

We are disappointed with the quality of some of the work done on our home. One thing was said before we closed, but when we had issues to address with the quality of work, we were told that’s not covered under your warranty. I would think Pulte wouldn’t want to continue hiring contractors that didn’t do their best work or at least Pulte would correct the problem. I was told I could hire someone to fix it. Toured a home under construction in Dec 2019, had about two months of work left, signed contract. Failed inspections delayed, then rain weather delayed by a month, then pandemic delayed. Repeatedly asked for a detailed schedule of work, never received. All of these on their own is understandable, but getting to explanations behind delays didn't come until I pressed hard on leadership in May. Any time I call for resolution of a problem or issue with Pulte, I can count on a very delayed response. Customer service is a thing of the past, and Pulte is a prime example of that lack of caring.

The Sales Consultant was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, supportive, kind, and encouraging from beginning to end, which is why I moved forward in purchasing the home at Preston Square. Our sales representative Kevin was absolutely amazing. He will accomplish great things. Can’t say the same for the quality of workmanship. Having an inexperienced eye for construction I put my faith in the construction crew of our home. Once the honey moon stage faded (60 days after closing) we noticed multiple defects. I won’t use Pulte again for a home, the price of almost 600k has given me a beautiful lot with 200k house on it. Pulte are using sub-skilled, illegal laborers that are supervised (infrequently). This lead to multiple issues during the house building stage. I was at the site daily addressing issues. I don’t have any equal sized window frames and this was apparent whilst measuring for window treatments. There have been multiple issues since move-in (the majority of which have been addressed under warranty) but the vast majority of issues are due to poor workmanship which begs the question as to what you are actually paying for?!? The only positive from building this house was Dave, the construction manager. He helped always and was very kind and caring. We have many areas where paint is there. We have many dents in our drywall that were just painted over and never filled in. We have paint drips all over the house on our floors. The three external doors all close wrong and weather striping is coming off. We have huge ditches in our yard that the city said had to be made or we'd have flooding. My wife and I purchased this new home when we moved to Texas from Georgia.
