I have had a bad experience with Pulte construction, not happy with construction quality and lot of open things left, their PMs don’t respond after closing is done. Support or maintenance team is not responsive.

Overall good experience with agent Jonathan and construction manager Nick. There should be a category for design of the home. Major issues with the downspouts location and not draining far enough from the house to prevent water settling under house. Buyer be aware. One downspout releases in the middle of the driveway. This horrible design and creates a dangerous ice patch in the winter and Pulte refuses to correct the issue. The other downspouts don't present the same danger but long-term concern is that a footer may settle after the 2 year warranty due to soil erosion and I'm stuck with a ...

Prioritize Next Dollar Over Completing Projects

Finished the house itself just fine but have prioritized finishing the sod for houses that don’t have anyone living in them before ours that has been done for over two months. Feels like they don’t care about you after you signed for the house even though they haven’t fulfilled the commitment.

I reached out multiple times regarding various issues, but received no response or timely resolution. Additionally, the pricing is significantly higher compared to other builders in the Mundelein area. Unfortunately, despite the premium cost, the quality of work—especially in areas like flooring and plumbing—has been disappointing.

The quality of the workmanship and the materials used are very poor. After 3 months of owning the house, I am still waiting to fix 5 issues. They don’t care, they don’t return your calls or messages.

Bad experience to buy a home at Pulte

Overall, it is not worth to buy the home - house was not ready but pushed to close - after move in, noticed the quality of workmanship and materials are poor - found repair issues more than I expected - the warranty team responses the repair request quick but some vendors are not doing the repair good.

Very hard to know what you are getting for your money, little flexible in design and build. Yard quality very poor. Some subs did subpar work.

Quality of construction is good, but not great.. Old style of models, not contemporary. not much design upgrades/customizations available. Post handover warranty team is not much helpful. bit over priced for the product they deliver. Customer service is not great

Beware of the details such as finishing windows, Drywall’s painting, floor, uneven floors, etc. The yardwork, sloppy, holes, missing plants, etc.

Appliamce s are look like the lowest price ones and cqbinet drawrrs are falling out because they used wrong size od screws used. Third time and seems like it will keep happening until all replaced by longer screw sized.

The overall process with the sales agent, construction manager and financing was very good. The fit and finish was average. We are very particular about fit and finish so we maybe overcritical but with the cost of the home we would expect a higher quality. We would still recommend Pulte.

Pulte sales manager promised me that we can buy the house as an investment regardless of knowing my mother is an employee in a different location which had nothing to do with the experience. She assured that it wouldn’t be an issue since day one. Now I can’t my own house and I was forced to sign a document saying. I can’t rent my own house. How embarrassing for a builder to force something upon their buyers, specially when the sale was initiated on different terms. By far the worst experience I’ve been through, I don’t wish that upon anybody
