Don’t expect Pulte to meet their deadlines. 125 days from dig date is a joke. It was almost a year, 345 days, to close. Things were still not finished and it’s now been two months and the exterior finishes are not complete. while I love the layout of our home I do not think the workmanship of the contractors does not equates to the what we paid for. For almost $450,000 we got $250,000 in finishes and workmanship. The painting, plumbing, flooring, etc was sloppily or half completed. Additionally turnover is bad. Up front, Pulte seems to think they are the only company with a lot on their plates right now. While we can appreciate the increased workload, your customers have an increased workload as well. Our stress level is amplified when we have constantly follow-up on workmanship issues which should have been caught during the build process. We closed on 3/29. Jimmy is the most unprofessional person I have ever met as well as lazy and incompetent. I have multiple emails noting issues with the house through out this build that would have completely been missed had we not discovered it and made him aware. I would not recommend Pulte homes to anyone. I anticipated the quality and craftsmanship to be below average, but Pulte went even below that. I have a strong background in construction management so I expected that I'd have to fix some minor issues, but each day that we are in the home, I find another shortcut taken by the contractors that they use. I would recommend to any potential buyer, do extra research and find a builder who still has pride in their work and treats customers right, instead of just a number. These homes are too expensive to be built this poorly.

We were so excited to build with Pulte, as we had heard great things. Most of what we heard was not our experience. Working with Charity in the sales office was the highlight of the experience. Had much difficulty getting any response from people. The workmanship was sub par, and from the mouth of the construction supervisor "Pulte will only do a much as the minimum required". I was not impressed.

I feel builder is compromising on so many factors like quality, materials,workers, no prior inspection of work being done by contractors, outdated options to buyers , no follow ups on pending works even after buyer multiple follow ups , too many problems within a month after moving, I felt like I would never go with pulte.

Overall pretty disappointing build experience. Our sales consultant was great... he was very knowledgable and responsive to inquiries. Our field manager was briefly responsive but after slab was poured, we had very sparse communication. We didn't know where our house was in the build process and when questions/concerns arose, they went unanswered. Our punch list was incomplete or completed haphazardly. Quality is poor from poor paint job, obvious dinged trim/carpentry work, cracked backsplash and shower tile, VERY roughly mud & taped garage.

Big Name Big Box Builder - Too Many Shortcuts

Pulte builds okay homes. The floor plans are nice; but they take too many shortcuts and very minimal accountability. If you have a great field manager; that is a great thing. However, keep in mind that the field manager is incentivized to close on-time, regardless of quality. We had issues and still have issues. The same goes for a customer care manager; if you have a great customer care manager; rest back he/she will take care of it. I have to pay $70.k above the asking price. The option that came with the house is way subpar to my opinion. The cost of the upgrade is marked up at 200% to think Pulte is getting these materials at wholesale. The selection is not enough. Follow up on issues not addressed at time of closing has been very poor. Responsiveness by phone and email has likewise been poor. HVAC was not connected when we closed and neither was the kitchen sink, dishwasher or disposal. Cabinets were misaligned at time of closing and still have not been corrected. What started as an outstanding process has finished very poorly. At this point, I could not recommend Pulte as a builder.

The home building experience was an awful process. We were watching the home be built and had to point out errors constantly to the construction team that they weren't catching. These errors included the door sizes, railing color, warped doors, bowed walls (many bowed walls) among other items. These homes are basically a slam dunk. Pulte hires contractors to perform the associated task for all trades. The companies do not provide sufficient training and oversight to verify the particular trades have performed their crafts correctly. Pulte is also guilty of the same lack of quality control. Pre-closing punch list are not completed at closing and obtaining the attention toward completing punch list concerns is a struggle after closing. The model home is lovely and once you're in you are in. What you actually end up with as a finished product is a generally nice home, but for the money you pay, the lack of quality control and the level of workmanship is appalling. Don’t sign closing documents until all repairs have been completed!! We completed our walk trough one week prior to close, pointed out the work needed and we’re promised most of it was going to be done by closing. That was not the case, they completed a few cosmetic touches inside the house but nothing everything. The manager did not complete the walk trough with us until two weeks after we had close and he took a list again of the issues needed to be corrected. The quality and workmanship of our home is very disappointing. We spent over $200K in premium overpriced options and the final finish quality was not what were told by Pulte at time of purchase. We should have never accepted our home on December 31st until it was 100% completed. We’ve now been in our home for almost six weeks and other then Pulte repairing all of the electrical outlets that did not work in the café and owner suite bedroom, they have yet to complete any the other repairs from our initial walkthrough, nor will they acknowledge or respond to our follow up emails.
