Still waiting for repairs, master bathroom mirror, fan switch in the master and family room and very unhappy with the baseboards there a 1/2” to 1” gaps from the door frames throughout the home. Some areas they did correctly but for the most part it looks terrible

Since closing and occupying my home I have been getting the run around concerning service requests from the Project managers, all the way up the latter to the VP of Construction. Seems like there is little recourse.

They do not stand by their product

Pulte sold me a new construction home with a dead tree in the front yard. Customer service rep explained that this is not covered after home closing. Trees were not blooming prior to opening so I had no idea the state of the tree. It has been almost 2 months since closing and we still have the landscaping fencing / barricades muddling our backyard. There has been other issues that continue to not be handled. If you are brave, buy Pulte, they absolutely do not stand by their product.

Pulte Homes responded:

Lack of Commutation and Attention to Detail

  • Brandon H.

Construction managers had poor commutation throughout the process. Most importantly the quality was poor. Paint and stain was spilled all over the tile floor and carpet. Things that were supposed to be fixed were not. Closing was delayed and should have been delayed again. The cabinets came off the wall right after moving in. Poor workmanship overall. Better off going across the street to Ashton Woods.

Closing was terrible

The house wasn’t finished at closing and we are going to be dealing with remaining issues for several months! The trade workers they use are terrible; it might be easier to fix things myself and would be done better. Not to mention you have to stay on top of it or they won’t do anything! Advice if you work with Pulte, stay on top of them from day one. And don’t buy one of they already built spec homes.

Am absolutely ashamed of the workmanship and quality control over my community by Jenny. The house had an abundance of issues at my final walk through that she said would be fixed by the time we closed. When closing came around they had still not been done, so I have her another week to have them done by the time we moved it and it still had not. I am incredibly disappointed with PULTE. I had paint stains all over my garage and they had told me there was nothing they could do about it, I am still finding paint all over my tile. Just moved in 2 months and half, already have 2 times of water problem. Gas valves for water heater were not tighten together, caused gas leakage at basement.

Worst framing I’ve seen in years. Studs missing, no corner studs, single king studs around window openings holding up thousands of pounds of roof tile. Electrical wiring pulled with the sheathing pulled off of it. Wires taped together buried in the walls. Outlets covered resulting in excessive opening made in the drywall to locate them. Gas lines moved and only tested after I questioned them About it. My bathroom clogged within 2 days of move in. When I requested for checking that, I was informed that it was clogged due to use of toilet paper. My concern if you cannot use toilet paper in toilet what else can I use. Builder doesn’t show any responsibility in fixing the issues at all. Overly priced home. Builder charge differently for upgrades for each model making low end homes come out be expensive than it is worth. The sales office will mislead you. For example, I paid for pull out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets. There are 3 cabinets. They only will put drawers in 2 of them - When I asked they said - Oh, that is the way we do it. We don't put them in the third one. I paid for soft closing cabinet doors. They didn't tell me that it was only SOME cabinets, not all. They painted the inside the wrong color and then wanted to repaint the entire inside after I moved in. Materials are cheap. the kitchen cabinets have gaps and drawers often come off the rails. The bathtub is a bad design. ...

seems like everyone is trying to get their bonus and hit their goals by rushing to close. After moving in, I realized there are excessive amount of repairs and fine tuning needed (very sloppy work). Spending few minutes in each room during walk thru is completely insufficient. That burden should not be placed on homeowner and it should be with the builder/field manager. Paint drips all over the floor and carpet, gaps and chips throughout the house, loose faucet/sink, etc..etc.. Seems like there are too many homes going up at same time and not enough quality control and not enough field ...

While the salesperson (David) and Erin (Project Manager) were both terrific, the overall experience in building a Pulte home was anything but. They are the definition of a tract builder that slaps up the houses in record time...workmanship is atrocious. But, the fact that we were told just a few days before closing that our home did not appraise is sickening. We didn't even do many upgrades (like countertops, flooring, fixtures) because the Pulte offerings were so outdated...can't even imagine how much more under the appraised value the home would have been with these items added to the ...

We were rushed to close on a house that was not completely finished. We ended up not moving into our home for two weeks after the purchase so Pulte could fix numerous issues that needed to be redone of finished. Even after that, it took multiple weeks to get other issues resolved. Eventually, we were sick and tired of Pulte not finishing things correctly or in a timely way and decided that any minor issues we still have will be done by us with our own contractors of our choosing.

I searched the web for reviews on Pulte before signing my contract and most were pretty bad reviews. Unfortunately for me, I moved forward with the purchase and here I am, adding to the bad reviews. I should have known better and I'll be kicking myself for a long time. Overall, the subcontractors performed subpar work and all their work went unsupervised by the Pulte field manager. The field manager told me during and after construction that he was too busy to supervise and quality control the subcontractors. That's great news for a new homeowner. The following transgressions have happened since moving into my home via the contractor next door: Pulte did nothing to stop theft of Water and Electricity. Came home to workers helping themselves to my water and power. This happened multiple days, had to call police to arrest behavior. Contractors working next door splashed stucco on my Vehicle and the windows of my home. They made a mudhole out of my grass on that side of the house.
