Phenomenal delays and too much vendor dependent

Emotionally draining and Traumatic experience, we have to pay money and then beg for it to completed soon by given dates. Lot of issues after move in ,you can never get hold of customer service on phone . Requests to fix issues ETA of 4-5 months. Do not take keys until all things are taken care .

I wouldn’t recommend Pulte to my worst enemy. The seller I worked with kept on forgetting things to busy trying to rush the deal. I brought 2 others when with me when I selected the home and upgrades. I requested irrigation systems to be installed. The seller failed to include that. I found out 2 weeks before I close and they did not approve the add on later. The builder manager told him it can be installed. Now I am shopping around for an irrigation system. Most home builders in TX already include irrigation without being requested. On top of that my grass is dying since it wasn’t being ...

My Third New Home; Pulte Worst Experience Ever

Pulte is a cookie cutter homebuilder. Please do not expect to make any changes, even with a change order. Three days after I put my contract in, I wanted to put in a change order for a screened in lanai. I was told I couldn't, because the order had already been submitted to the county. I am still without screening for my lanai (the housing industry is booming in Florida, it is difficult to schedule the work or get a response). My experience was and still is very stressful (ongoing issues). I am still trying to get items up to par. They push closing because they are schedule driven. ...

Needs to pay attention to details

I see many issues after my closing date and I discover new ones everyday. You need yo make sure that your craftsmanship is high quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I have the switch of disposer in my cabinet. But why? I have unpainted portion of a wall. I had a door that was impossible to lock now I can lock it but door has a bad alignment now. Please make sure you pay particular attention to details.

We had a very terrible experience with overall quality and management of our house construction. Nearly two months after purchasing and closing our home and we still have a long list of pending incomplete work that we are not sure whether they would be addressed or not. Shoddy work and mismanagement of the entire process. The quality of the cabinets and wood used was very poor. I wouldn't recommend anyone wanting to build a quality home for the price charged choosing Pulte Homes!

Home was finished over a month late due to multiple avoidable delays, most of which occurred due to lack of time management and communication by the builder. Will never build with or recommend anyone to build with Pulte.

Terrible building experience. Started filing warranty claims the day of closing. Not happy with the quality of the home at all. The workmanship is horrific and the "Pulte Promise" is nonexistent.

Pulte Mortgage is terrible

The local process with Pulte (sales rep and building manager) was amazing. The Pulte Mortgage side in Colorado was terrible. They will make promises then stop communicating with you when you need them the most.

There was constant changes in story, rude staff

This was the worst home buying experience I have ever had. From the sales person who lied to us over 4 times, from personally having to talk to people to get things fixed proved that this was not worth the investment in time. Timelines were way off when they told us of the bill, they kept realtor in the dark and also messed up the title service paying our people. This is not acceptable when you are selling 350K homes.

We love the floorplan and design of our new home. Unfortunately, there has been one significant issue after another since our closing. The lack of response and attentiveness to major issues (flooding due to improper appliance installation requiring the replacement of our entire kitchen wood floors in the first week, electrical systems melting due to improper fireplace installation, front porch requiring complete demolition and re-pouring of concrete just to name a few) has left us shocked. Don’t believe the hype ! The houses are nice but way over priced especially what you get and the size of the lot . Our main issue is the fact that when we closed on our house it still was not finished ! It’s taking about a month to finally get things to about 90% . There is much better builders out there that will actually finish a build before you move into it . I would not recommend Pulte to anybody! No integrity or Quality control process .

The lack of follow-through. We had a long list of issues that needed to be addressed after our pre-closing walk-through. Most of those issues were not addressed by closing. It's now been two months and these issues still have not been addressed.

We really like the design of the house. There is a lot of storage space. You do, however, pay extra for every little things. The things that come standard are so basic that everyone - from the sales person to the consultant at the design meeting highly encourages you to upgrade, which then, of course, drives up the cost for the house. Most frustrating has been our closing experience. We had a pre-closing walk-through date set. I've owned a few homes but this was my first build and unfortunately, this whole process has made me not want to build again. It has been very frustrating and almost 2 months after closing I have a list of corrections that I am still waiting to be addressed. At least with preowned homes, you know what you are walking into and what you have to do. I never expected to have to wait on things to be finished or corrected once closing on a brand new build. Very disappointed.

They were wonderful when they were trying to earn our business, but once we signed the paperwork they just didn't seem to care about our satisfaction. Had to point out many defects which were overlooked probably due to the lack of properly trained workers. Walls, countertops, cabinets, window frames, doors, etc. were installed improperly and needed to be repaired or replaced after my own inspection. This shows that there was a lack of quality control during the build. Since closing on the property , I am still finding defects in the build.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. From the beginning to the very end, the entire process was horrible. The lack of communication was the worst experience I have ever seen. I have been in the home now since the middle of September and I'm still waiting on final touch ups throughout the home. I would never recommend this company to any family or friends. Very unfortunate because the location are great. Ps. If you can get the contractors to follow through with the finishing touch ups that would be great.
