1. Mortgage terms not made transparent upfront until last moment. Rate was higher, builder incentive was applied to items that mortgage company should have paid anyway. 2. Pressurized to close with BAD work finish. A big number of issues like broken cabinets, doors, holes in walls. Still waiting for a bunch of items to be fixed, more than a month after closing! 3. Pulte does not seem to care about their customers once the contract is signed and they REALLY don’t seem to care after the sale of the home is complete. I understand that there have been unforseeable delays due to shipping issues and labor shortages. However, that does not excuse the times that we have caught their staff blatantly lying to us or more often than that, just refusing to respond to our inquiries or concerns timely. Worst decision I’ve made when it comes to buying a home

To start, the house still is not complete. We’re been lied to at every stage of the building process. The quality of work is garbage. Parts of the house have literally started falling apart within 1-2 weeks of moving in. No one ever comes to fix the issues. My building manager, Blake, was unable to tell the truth or had no idea what he was doing. I could go on and on but I’m working and this isn’t worth my time.

I would caution any new buyers to look elsewhere. We are 45 days into ownership and very disappointed. Not only did we have to make several concessions along the way, now we are dealing with very poor responsiveness post move in. Pulte was responsive during the build process, but now its like a switch was flipped, once we took possession, they do not respond. The cheapest materials they can be and the worst workmanship it can be on top of sloppy work without any thoughts in mind. Customer service is so bad as well as we are 3 month on with punch list items for repairs still pending.

Took over a year to build. Poor communication. Poor quality materials. There were rodents in the ceiling upon moving in. Slow and useless responses. No accountability.

It took way too long to build our house.

I have way too many issues to list here, so I'll just talk about a couple of them!!!!! I understand there's a labor shortage not just in New Mexico but all over the country. However, there was way too many times where our house sat for weeks at a time with nothing being done, I simply couldn't understand that. During the build process I came to our house "everyday", and they used a large amount of warped and damaged wood in this house. When I pointed this out, I was given all kinds of excuses. If someone from Pulte wants to contact me, I have much, much more to say.

Sales people were willing to blatantly break the law

Do not let Pulte homes tell you that they have the right to dictate what lender you use in order to purchase a home from them! We paid we offered $86k over the minimum purchase price that they would accept with $500k cash prepayment and they told us that unless we agreed to use Pulte mortgage, they would rescind the acceptance of our offer and sell the house to another buyer. This was a very disappointed experience and unfortunately with all my 5 sales/purchase with Pulte. Quality, attention to details, customer service & delivery. All my clients were frustrated & there was NO help from any of the management. Including a very rude response from one of them. I can’t tell how dissatisfied I was as a customer and professional. The builder repeatedly lied and said he would “take care of ” something that wasn’t right according to my inspector, but unless the city inspector picked it up and required him to fix it he would just cover it up. Very sloppy workmanship throughout.

The poor workmanship and lack of responsivness

This is the fourth house I have purchased in my life and it was the worst experience I have ever had. They moved my closing date up by 2 weeks even though I was assured I wouldn't close before mid-August (which was the time frame I requested) and the house wasn't even ready. Well I have been constantly lied to by the Pulte team and they never return phone calls. From the outset, Pulte rushed the process. They rushed the closing of the house telling us “we need our numbers” and threatened to charge us more if we fell outside of their perimeters. It is my opinion that they are more focused on quantity over quality. The b/s they tell you up front about working with you on your build and they are focused on quality and craftsmanship and will work with you is just that b/s! Once you move in the service department is not quick to get your house fixed in a timely manor. I had a poor build and service experience as most of my neighbors had.
