I had a nightmarish experience purchasing and building a home with Pulte. The craftsmanship was shockingly poor, with numerous defects and shoddy workmanship evident throughout the construction process. Donot close your home with any issues pending. Construction Managers are so irresponsible and donot address minor issues despite of 10+ reminders. Lennar has a better quality homes compared to Pulte Homes. With the money they took and quality they delivered is poor. They pretend to be acting on issues but they never.

So disappointed in our new home

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Pulte. From the sales process to our closing date and even beyond that, there have been issues on all levels. On our closing date we were still missing our oven and there were over 30 incomplete items that still needed to be fixed. Here we are almost 2 months after our closing and only a fraction of the issues have been fixed. We would never build with Pulte again.

We would NEVER recommend building with Pulte Homes. They have ruined our first home building experience and caused immense stress and anxiety levels. The quality of the trades that are used on the homes are elementary. Structure and room are solid. There were children painting in some of the homes, hinges were painted and flooring was painted. Our countertop not installed straight and many of the holes cut into the cabinets appeared to be cut with the wrong tool, holes drilled and not measured properly, caulk and paint used to cover up errors. We purchased from Pulte in September of 2022 in the Willow Ridge development in Montverde, Florida and were given a target completion date of May to July 2023. We thought it was a bit long as our previous, larger home (nearly 2x the size, with a basement, 2nd floor and built during cold Ohio winter) was built by Ryan Homes in Ohio in less than half that time - but we noticed the timeline wasn't too far off from other builders and Pulte said this was part of building a "Quality home". I would not recommend buying a house from Pulte. I had a horrible experience with Pulte. The field manager is not focusing on the build. I had many issues after closing my house. They are not fixing the problem yet. My field manager is lying a lot. They messed up the staircase, interior doors, curtains, rods, etc.; I will move to a higher level to fix all my issues.

Supposed to be a new home but with broken HVAC

The “supposed” to be a brand new home by Pulte home has a faulty HVAC equipment which took over a month for some one come and take a look and after 2 attempts still not fixed , why would a brand new home that priced at 1.25 million have a broken HVAC which is not even a month old ? Where is the quality here pulte homes? shame ! My family spent thanksgiving in a cold home , thank you for nothing Pulte homes !

I have two sinks plumbed incorrectly. There is a piece of trim that was never installed. Carpet nails stab your feet in the main floor living room. When it's windy the southern siding make a lot of noise. I'm concerned that the furnace won't pass inspection due to a valve touching the door. Windows and other fixtures were never cleaned post install. Places that were shown to have defects in the walk throughs were never fixed.

I wish I had something better to say, the mortgage experience was terrible, last minute they switched out our construction manager (he was pretty decent) to a new one that pretty much didn’t care. I still having issues with my grass and irrigation and zero answers… there’s plenty of little cosmetic issues inside the house that need to be addressed.

If i knew i could help you improve i would spend the time. You have several issues and i am not 100% satisfied. You seem to promote your way to get a good review with simple one way form not allowing negatives. Your process is fast tracked poor quality allowing sub contractors to cut corners. Minimal supervision. No quality standards as the sub sets that in the field. Poor to no reprrsentation by city inspectors helps you get away with even more issues.just checks the box and doesnt get out of truck. Poor poor workmanship. And advice to future homebuyers, DO NOT CLOSE with open items. We closed end of Sept and are still working through exterior open items one month later, never mind open interior items. But the bigger issue is quality and workmanship. Really, really sub-par. Must be a skilled labor shortage coupled with tok much work to get done. Everything with ours feels rushed and low regard for quality workmanship.

Worst Experience, Nice Floor Plan

Things that are terrible in our home: the paint, frame, drywall seams, missing range and dishwasher components, damaged microwave, unfinished paint, sketchy fixes to issues (they will hide or try to hide problems before they fix them properly, you have to make them), missing studs behind drywall seams and a host of other issues. Their homes are not measured and framed on site, all walls and joists are assembled off site soemwhere and shipped on a truck so that's one of the reasons why the drywalls seams are so bad. The craftsmanship is a joke and we get to live there, thanks Pulte.

I paid $599,990 to be hoodwinked

When I viewed the home at the open house there was a 4ft puddle in the basement. I was told that it is was residual water from the basement floor being cleaned. Fast forward 30+ days after closing and $599,990 later, I have a 4ft x 3ft puddle in the basement in the exact same location. Shame on me for trusting their word. Will they fix it? Even if they do, that’s a lot of money to spend on being hoodwinked.

I am very dissapointed in the home. There are visible defects in many areas and I don't have confidence in the construction. I don't plan to move in. I felt rushed and misled in the process and when I tried to cancel the purchase they made it clear they'd keep my deposit. Issues haven't been resolved. Very, very disappointing.

No responsiveness on the service request line, always asks to leave on voicemail. No follow up. Customer care manager pushes back on everything with no real concern to the home owner. Major water line leak in first 10 days of ownership. Electrical issues. Very late follow up on closing items closing. Overall very bad experience owning a pulte home.

Please do not use pulte’s PGP for your closing. Get your own. Destiny is one of the most unprofessional people we have ever dealt with. Pulte tried to move our closing a week later because they did not submit the paperwork to the proper county. Starting with Mark our sales agent he misrepresented many issues. Especially the closing. We were force to live in Airbnb for 3 months at 3x price of our mortgage. The quality of the build is a disaster, our windows are so misaligned we could not put in blinded. Doors are different heights, garage doors were broken and 6weeks later not fixed. The grass was dead on arrival. Tommy, our finally construction manager did everything humanly possible to help but there were to many problems. I warn anyone not to buy from Pulte. Oh, the dog park in Verdana Village is so small no one uses it.
