After the purchase, service is terrible

The sales force is wonderful. In general, the home is beautiful. However, after moving in, we saw many, many small issues and a couple not so small. The most important one's are tile poorly installed in the foyer and edges on the corners of the kitchen island that were not finished off and are very, sharp posing a cutting hazard as you walk by. Repeated requests for assistance go unanswered by the Pulte Warranty office.

In the beginning our experience was much more positive. Some of the employees really seem to care but the end result is sloppy trade work and lack of responsiveness to seeing issues to completion. AT best Pulte needs to add 4-6 to it's build time. Trades often do not show and many do such a poor jib it's amazing that they continue to hire them. I think they underestimate their buyers and often patch these houses together. Issues are addressed but not acted on. Trying to get the punch list completed requires endless phone calls and extreme frustration. The GC is great but it seems that his ...

Here’s our story of what we are still dealing with. Anyhow, 3 days before our final Walk through I decided to come by the house to do a walk through by myself. The night before we have some rain, but I was still very surprised when I walked in to see water leaking from my downstairs bathroom into the front door foyer. Obviously I called my super and he got on it right away. We were told the cleaning and remediation process would take about 9 days. They put us up in a hotel for those days, then we were given the new date to our closing. We did the final walk through, water issues was fixed, ...

Little and sometimes no response from the building manager after the first month. No adequate heat during the cold season and cooling issues. Am told the air conditioners may be too small to cool home and not set properly to address zones. Mostly no response to texts message or calls. We were one of the last people to purchase a home at Tangerine Ridge and we feel that we have been treated poorly as the building contractors have left the neighborhood. The only truly positive experience we have had was our sales manager Charmaine. She deserves a raise and the rest deserve to pay that raise.

Home was purchased and I was assured that a Pulte person was in charge of making sure subcontractors did things right. Many items were caught on final walk through and it’s now two months later and still waiting for cabinets to be painted where there was clearly poor workmanship. Several other items took forever to address and was very obvious the painters and trades cared little as to the work they put in. At a price point way over 400000 you would think you could expect better. I would advise NOT to close until all is corrected. Two month and still waiting for painter on cabinets. ...

Pulte hires bad contractors who do bad jobs. They don't follow Field Manager's instructions. Field Managers are overloaded and they don't have enough bandwidth to monitor quality of work. Pulte's internal quality team does pathetic job and that's why they certify home with so many issues which homeowner need to point out. Before closing I had marked several items but those were not fixed so I accepted several flaws as it is, just to ensure no further delays in moving-in.

To say this was sloppy work would be a compliment. There was no attention paid to the construction of this home throughout the process. We pointed out easily half a dozen major construction mistakes (incorrect materials used, bathrooms being placed in wrong places, open holes left in the roof) and have a list of over 50 items that need to be addressed, nearly half of which were raised prior to closing. One of the field managers (now removed) openly admitted that no one was supervising construction for a period of several weeks while he was gone, so the sub contractors literally did whatever ...

We built a new home in the Brookfield subdivision and seeing leaks in the basement from day 1. My basement floor stays wet even after running dehumidifier continuously and my insulation on two sides is completely wet! I reported this issue multiple times thru their warranty portal but they have not done anything regarding this issue. Also there were multiple items that we were told that will be completed after closing, field manager opened up all the work orders on the closing date, but even after almost 9 weeks, all of those items are outstanding. New Townhouse lots of problems...

My new townhouse was closed in June. Location is very good, but construction quality is really worse. During the final walk through, I already found some quality issues: crooked door frames, bad stained stairs. Although I never stain stair wood before, however, I believe I definitely can stain wood stairs better than their painting contractors. Also there already have three places with ceiling cracks and two places with leakages near deck doors. I contacted account manage with no response and I understand he is busy with all kinds of complains by homeowners.

For the price I paid I expected better quality and polish to the workmanship. So many cosmetic flaws and oversights. Moulding and trim are beat up. Walls have varying degrees of texture when they should be smooth. Different paint colors used on a wall. So many things that are disappointing to continue to discover.
