We've been trying for years to have a new house built. We decided to go with Pulte because they had the floor plan we liked. During the build process, communication was pretty weak. They were 5 months late completing the house. During this time, getting updates was difficult. When it came time to close, the closing agent didn't have the most up to date paperwork (good thing I was paying attention). When we took delivery of the house, we began to notice just how poor the finishes actually were. Most of the doors have either finish or open/close defects while the majority of the trim (door jams, baseboards, etc) is of poor quality. The grout is the wrong color or suffers from efflorescence, not sure which. There are hollow tiles (poor contact to the floor), entry way threshlds that pop off, wrong toilets, thin spots in the front landscaping cover, mismatched stucco patchwork, the quartz counters chip and stain easily and the list goes on. Next time we'll pay a little more attention to the quality of the model and inspect some of the quick move-in units before we commit to build. Pulte will be at the bottom of our list, if on it at all. Anyone who buys a Putle house should be prepared to lower their expectations or be disappointed. ... More

At this point we have been very pleased. We still have some issues to be addressed relative to the water in the yard. Once that issue, which is all around the house, is done will be done.

So far so good, we are just here for 45 days, no problem found. Good small community.

My experience with Pulte Homes was very easy. There were no delays and I moved into a beautiful new home right on schedule.

I BELIEVE THAT THE SALES STAFF, DESIGN CENTER, AND ESPECIALLY THE MORTGAGE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY, CAPABLE, AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH. OPTIONS ARE EXTRAORDINARILY HIGH PRICE.(industry standard though) 2ND BATHROOM IN HEWITT MODEL WAS DESIGNED BY THE SAME DESIGNER OF THE BATHROOMS FOR SOUTHWEST AIR

The home was priced as per the market value but the craftsmanship of the house is not up to the standards. They just try to rush and finish the home rather than doing the right thing.

Do your research! Carefully decide what you are looking for in a house, 1 story or a 2 story. What type of options will satisfy your household needs. their homes are ahead of the competition in innovation! You will notice this immediately when you walk into a model home! Ask questions...lots of them!

From beginning to end - the experience was great. All staff in every phase of build was courteous, knowledgeable and was trying to meet our wishes.

Not happy with the quality of our build or the way the house was rushed to closing to meet numbers for builders production.

Working with Pulte was an amazing experience. They respond to any inquiry around the clock and make sure to tell you about information you don’t even ask.

Overall a good community, with the exception of a several issues, that have been brought to the Pulte Homes team. The quality of material and workmanship is not the best, but can be considered average. Their team is very nice to work with. Home layout is great with storage in abundance. The garage space is very tight and the kitchen cabinets are not very user friendly.

Overall we love our new house. It is beautiful and we have amazing views. If you are considering building with Pulte, be aware that you are limited on what you can upgrade. As I tell my friends, I could not even pay additional funds to get what I wanted. We did put in a significant amount of upgrades, though. Also, you need to get them to show you the outlet locations so you can choose where to add additional outlets. They are particularly few and far between in the garage. Additionally, some of the materials they use may not hold up, even with light use and being upgraded. The project manager we had was detail oriented and did his best to correct all issues before we moved in. Pulte's warranty service has been fantastic in the first month. They come back in a timely manner and get the issues fixed. They will also come back and fix everything at the end of one year and their warranty guy provides us with confidence that they will follow through. Their landscaping company for our subdivision has also been amazing. They gave us a beautiful plan to finish our landscaping. To say this was sloppy work would be a compliment. There was no attention paid to the construction of this home throughout the process. We pointed out easily half a dozen major construction mistakes (incorrect materials used, bathrooms being placed in wrong places, open holes left in the roof) and have a list of over 50 items that need to be addressed, nearly half of which were raised prior to closing. One of the field managers (now removed) openly admitted that no one was supervising construction for a period of several weeks while he was gone, so the sub contractors literally did whatever they felt like with zero quality controls. If you buy here, be prepared to babysit and monitor the entire construction process, and to spend the months following closing chasing Pulte to fix the mistakes they let happen during construction. ... Unfortunately our excitement to move into our new home was quickly replaced with regret. This is the second house we have had built new and this one looks and feels like it was rushed to completion with little to no attention to detail. Our cabinets were not level, the handles were not even close to even, the trim and paint were both very sloppy, the stonework was falling apart (literally stone falling off), there was/is paint and stain on the carpet and tile, the yard wasn’t flattened before the sod was laid, the list goes on. They are currently working with us to get all of these items fixed, looking back we would not have closed until everything was fixed. So many issues with my first time buying experience. Sales team is great but the builders not responsive or helpful!

Overall very happy with our home building experience. I think it depends a lot on who your superintendent is, but we had an awesome experience with Joe Harrigan!

I had to sell my washer and dryer because they were to big and the door wouldn’t close. These are modern townhomes they should have laundry rooms designed for modern from load machine. Even the standard machines I had to buy as replacement were just the right size for the door to be able to close.

Nothing but compliments here. Great company to work with.

Love the home but lacks in detail and finishing touches that I would expect from this builder. The structure is amazing but there are some items that you would expect to be of higher grade in a home built by Pulte.

We love how thorough the Pulte process was as well as the quality craftsmanship that went into our new home. We know it will be a wonderful place for years to come. From sales to construction on to warranty we have had nothing but an exceptional experience. Keep on rocking Pulte!

The house is great overall & our builder Brian was awesome the whole way through the process. This was my third house to build and his communication was by far the best I have experienced. Through the process we switched lots and because it required a new contract we were charged the new higher prices that went into effect after our original signing (they had our earnest money and easily transferred that over though). It left a bad start to the process for what felt like a lack of customer service and more of a bottom line deal. Lastly be ready to upgrade features to get the house that you want as their base level is very plain. Brian was the best part of the process and the house turned out great, but our early on experience with management made me question if the company wants happy homeowners or as much money as possible from everyone. ...
