They subcontract everything and those contractors are awful. Examples: doors don't hang properly, hot water doesn't work, carpet laid on construction debris and missing flooring, sprinklers leak, heating doesn't reach bedrooms etc etc.

Pulte does not fix problems, they hide problems! In my master bathroom I ordered gray grout to match the tile grout in my shower. Instead they installed white grout!! Instead of fixing the problem the correct way, tear out the 100 square feet of tile and install new tile with the correct grout they decided to use a grinder and try to grind out some of the grout. And in places near the wall all they did was put silicone grout on top of the white grout, That was not what I ordered and now the grout is concave above the floor line. Also now I have razor sharp edges on my tile. So now the problem is worse, And they won.t fix it!! Now I have white grout bleeding through the added grout!! Additionally I replaced a toilet and then the water valve started to leak which was a defective part and they won't cover it, they said because I replaced the toilet the water valve that I didn't replace was my responsibility!! The faulty water valve pulte installed, I had to pay $400 to fix Pulte's fault parts. Additionally the linen closet door would not close properly. They said because I painted it, they would not fix it!! Do not buy a home from Pulte! You will regret it! ... More

Recently i got a inventory house at Dallas. It is nicely built. only the worry part is, it does not provide clean or smooth finish on some of the stuff. Pulte claims they are not custom grade but production grade builder, so smooth finish will be missing in some edges etc.

I still don’t have a mailbox! I was told it would be about 3 weeks. It is now 2 months. They put up a temporary but the post office will not deliver. I have to go to the post office to get my mail. I called but still no resolve.

We had a great experience building with Pulte Homes. They were a pleasure to work with and we are very happy with the finished produce

Overall the property build was good

There was a lot of little issues where there was splash paint in the floor or tiles. It seemed to have been rushed out, hence not a thoughtful process.

We had major flooding on the day after moving in to our new home. It has been four months and our backyard is till torn up by construction. There are also electrical wires that run along the front of our yard to the neighbor's house. We are not sure why.

Paint and painters were terrible. Poor workmanship along with some damage to glass, doors, and floors. Flat was the only type offered. Why not eggshell? Also it was watered down alot. Toilets are the worst. I've never seen a toilet you have to hold handle down until tank is empty. There is no designation that these are two stage toilets. You shouldn't have to instruct guests how to use your toilets. Very poor. I have heard from others in our area that are equally disappointed. The center opening patio door is also a poor design. The sliding screens travel the whole length of the tract instead of having a positive stop. House color and roof combinations are too restrictive. Why not have a flat tile color available for all exterior design combinations. ... More

The sales process was bad. The sales rep didn’t listen to our concerns and let us make assumptions that he could have easily clarified. This lead to many disappointments when we didn’t get house feature we thought we had purchased.

Home was not cleaned as expected. Since we had to be out of the area until move in, we were not ready for the movers to bring things into the new home. Wall dust was everywhere and many areas had not received a final wipe down after walkthrough as directed.

I really enjoyed working with Tanner. Tanner is very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all my questions and took immediate actions to fix what needed to be fixed.

The entire Pulte team has been great to work with.

Not accommodating to minor modifications. House was NOT done at time of closing. For the price would have expected a much higher quality. Construction cleanliness was extremely poor, we had several nearby under construction and constantly had to pick up trash at our house.

Great place to live.

My whole experience so far has been up to par but when i did have issues and submitted thise issue for inquiry on 11/18/19 they have yet to be addressed. I do have an appointment for resolution on 12/20/19.

Pulte made my first home purchase so easy. They walked me through all the steps and were never pushy about making an offer.The product is great and I am so glad I made the purchase. Luis, is the nicest and easiest person to work with them looking for a home.

TO ELIMINATE SOME FRUSTRATIONS, WE WOULD HIRE A HOME INSPECTOR TO FIND/LOCAGE PROBLEM AREAS BEFORE CLOSING AND MOVING IN. THIS WOULD FIND SHORT COMINGS, TO INCLUDE ELECTRICAL, PAINT ISSUES, RUSTING STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR DOORS, WILD SPRAY DISCHARGE OF SOME SPRINKLER HEADS ON WINDOWS AND PORCH, FLOODING AREAS AROUND IRRIGATION VALVE BOX , AND SIDE WALK, VERY ANNOYING , CREAKING, LOUD GARAGE DOOR OPERATION, GUTTER DOWN SPOUTS NOT ALL THE WAY DIRECTED TO GRASS RESULTING IN WASH OUT CRATERS . SOME ISSUES HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED OKAY. WE JUST DID NOT NEED THE AGGRAVATION OF SUCH ISSUES. HOPEFULLY, ALL ISSUES WILL BE HANDLED ON THE ELEVEN MONTH CHECK SHEET. ... More

Our new home has many minor quality details that have required and continue to require attention. We have a great warranty representative that stays on top of our issues and keeps us informed. It seems as though the home was finished quickly by subcontractors without the attention to detail that I am accustomed to. In comparison, when we finished our new primary home in another state the contractor walked us through the finished product and pointed out the quality of fit and finish. In this home it seems like the attitude was "it's finished, now you go and find the problems". The sales force is wonderful. In general, the home is beautiful. However, after moving in, we saw many, many small issues and a couple not so small. The most important one's are tile poorly installed in the foyer and edges on the corners of the kitchen island that were not finished off and are very, sharp posing a cutting hazard as you walk by. Repeated requests for assistance go unanswered by the Pulte Warranty office.

We have a beautiful home, but don’t look too close. Pulte has absolutely zero care for quality. We still have paint splatters on the floors, crooked window jambs, visible drywall seams on the ceilings, visible nail holes and joints on trim throughout low voltage cable installed in the wrong place. All of which was pointed out to Pulte multiple times and promised to be fixed before closing. We’ve been in the house for a month and those issues are not fixed. When replacing a light fixture in a bathroom I found a NEC code violation, Pulte denies. Getting a hold of Pulte is becoming increasingly more difficult. My first review had much more detail of how bad Pulte’s quality is, but i was simply told it “contains inappropriate content” so it wasn’t published. There are several things I thought would be better. 1). Cabinets are not even close to being installed to standard. 2). Grass was brown and almost dead, several dead spaces or gaps in grass. 3). Texture not done to standard or missing in several places throughout the house. 4). Tile throughout house has deep scratch marks; almost holes. 5). Holes and cracks in concrete in garage. 6). Dent in main door that builder refuses to replace or fix. 7). Dents and scratches in wood of railing not fixed. 8). Scratches in metal wood railing not fixed. 9). Light fixtures are all crooked and hard to make straight. 10). Continuous trash in yard from other houses being built. ... More

Cleanliness throughout Check air filter to furnace windows. Check every installation fixtures. Check every light and every switch in every room. Make sure all appliances work , all doors and draws operate as they should. We have had several issues from plumbing to electrical to minor structure though the response is good it doesn't ease the trust of the quality to value of the home. We love our new home we just don't like all the inconviences we experienced so far in our first two months.
