We had a great new home buying experience with Pulte! The construction team communicated with us through the whole build process. They were very knowledgeable and patient with us.

Was mostly satisfied with the building process. The finishing was not not the best. Some issues although minor were not up to expectation. More effort needed on fine details especially when a home is new.

I wasn't overly impressed with any aspect of the process except our contractor (who's now leaving the company.) Pulte Mortgage was reliable except for the local VP who was on a power trip and a little rude. Fortunately, I only had one interaction with him. Our contractor and mortgage contact, Zach, were the people I trusted the most. The workers that build the house and mostly unreliable to do quality work unless the contractor stays on top of them. Sam was our sales rep and was great to work and we were happy to work with her throughout the new build process. Walt was our site manager and did a great job with continually providing updates as well as responding to questions and concerns that we had through the process. At completion his walk through was very comprehensive and remedied all issues

We were told there would be a 30 day review after we moved in. We have not heard a word. There is a big disconnect between Pulte Sales and the HOA Board which has Pulte employees on the board until all houses are sold. Communication with the HOA is entirely up to us, otherwise we would never hear a word.

Paid 290k for our home and over 45k of that was upgrades. You would think if you spent that much for a brand new home that you wouldn't have to finish work that should be standard in every Pulte home. Here are just a few exaples.... #1, upgrade for wooden blinds for 9 windows but no window sills. Seriously, just sheetrock ($60 of wood and trim would have finished the job). #2 upgrade to better stainless appliances and get the cheapest out there (Amana gas stove (even paid extra for gas) and Amana dish washer). Already called to have the dish washer warrant looked at because it won't dry. #3 cheapest FLAT paint that will make a marks anytime you touch, rub or even look at the wall. I just painted the whole house myself for under $500 Sherwin William's ProMar Egg Shell paint. Why flat paint? Pulte probably spent that much for flat paint why not use better paint? #4 tile in master bedroom. Paid extra for tile on wall and paid a lot more to put in a garden tub. You would think, since you paid extra, tile would go all the way up the shower and tub. Nope, tile goes up all the way to ceiling in the shower and only 1 tile up around the tube. Rest of the wall above the tube is sheetrock so looks unfinished and poor looking (too bad I can't attach a picture). Another project to be done. #5 zero light or fans in the house. Moved in with CAPS on the ceiling for me to put lights in. Fans with lights cost $35 at home depot. No lights for the first few nights in our new home. Not fun when you can't see if your own bedroom. Again another project. #6 no gutters. When it rains, it will look like Niagara Falls at the front door ruining the flower bed that is over sized with alternating shrubs that don't match. Now, the office staff and contractors are very nice and helpful. When getting warrant work done, so far has been easy and simple. They have work around our schedule to get things done, zero issues with the workers or staff. Have lots of other examples but these are a few. We don't think that for the 290k that we spent was worth the home that we are having to finish. We will not build with a big builder again because we feel the house was built with low standards (not like the model homes they show you at the front) for high profit for Pulte's share holders. ... Everyone involved in the process was responsive and always available to answer any questions. I love my home, but there are a few areas Pulte may revamp to ensure space is used wisely.

Still waiting on getting items to be finished that should have been done at closing.

Requirements from builder were met however, do not expect anything over and above what I ws absolutely necessary for builder to pass inspections. Less than expected finishing work. For example, the on the front porch were covered in cement although we were told they were already "cleaned up." Not a great welcome present to walk into. Outside trim paint was missing or "thin" in many areas. Ceiling vent in the guest bathroom was askew. The list goes on. Nothing horrendous but very disappointing considering these are not cheap homes. We are not big complainers or trouble makers but we had originally had been very excited to move here after leaving a long-time beloved home. The landscaping wasn't done when we moved in and we were OK with that but there was a brick in the driveway that we had to move when we pulled up and then trash was everywhere in the yard. Again, we understood that would be taken care of when the landscapers came (and they did a great job, by the way) but very disappointing to see. We did a "final walk through" the day we closed and the home hadn't been cleaned yet (they were doing it that morning and we closed in the pm). Fast construction and fair prices. Addressed everything in independent inspection. Some aesthetic issues at final walkthrough (paint etc) that were never addressed.

Focus on electricity condition

Our new Pulte home is the third Pulte home that we have purchased. We think that says a lot. There are always some little problems but Pulte handled them quickly.

Great company, They are professional and proficient. 100% trust.

Overall we are happy with the home. Purchased mainly because of the location. Have purchased Pulte homes before in other states and were surprised at the difference. As I said, overall happy but there is room for improvement.

At this point we've lived in our new home for over a month and are very happy with it. The quality of materials and workmanship appears high. And so far Pulte Homes has been responsive to our inquiries.

We love our new Pulte home. The entire sales and construction team made the experience a great one. Keep in mind, like in life, nothing is perfect or without some challenges, In the end though, we are very happy and would recommend Pulte to anyone.

We were amazed how quickly and this house was built. Finished exactly in the time line given us the day we bought!

When we were in the process of buying a new home I read many reviews with horror stories about Pulte online. They did irritate me. My own experience with the company was flawless so far. Everyone we had contact with, the sales agent, the buliding crew, the title company etc. were very professional. We like our new home and have not had any problems so far. I would buy again from Pulte.

Use extreme caution on knowing all the rules, associations involved and before you sign off on walk through go through it with a fine tooth comb. In fact spend the money for a home inspector even though the house is new.

Pulte builds houses with flair, whether historical architecture or modern and they emphasize livability in their room design and finish options

I waited a while to do this survey as I did not want to do it right when frustrating feelings were taking place as I could not be factual in my comments. The overall process with the purchase of the house went well. From the sales representative, which was always kind, responsive and engaging to the closing team, and everyone in between. I moved in over 2 months ago, and a week later, and encouraged by the field manager and even the closing team, I checked the house in more detail to see if there were things that needed to be taken care of, and indeed they were some, and may be more to come in the future. I placed the work order on the builder’s portal and after the reviewing of It, the repairs started to take place. Not wanting to give into specifics, what I can say is that almost two months later of placing the WO the repairs have not been completed just yet. Vary of reasons have happened, and I’m not trying to blame anyone, truly, but at the end there is still work pending to do. My advice to new buyers is to look in detail the conditions of the house prior closing and point them out. It is really easy to miss things when you do the walk throughs with the field manager as the happy feelings of getting the house can “blind” the buyers. Please know that the house in general is fine and I love living in it, good the laid out, it is spacious and so, but there are things that the more I’m in the house, the more I realize that they were not supervised properly to deliver a house close to being perfect (with exceptions as in everything and completely normal) as it is a brand new house what I was getting. I’m giving this review not to talk bad at all about Pulte and their employees as a corporation, but to share my ongoing experience. I’m not mad for the time it has taken to fix the things I pointed out, although I got to admit that I’ve been frustrated at moments, but I know they will be fixed at one point. Overall build quality is good. Be sure to ask beforehand where the outside unit for your A/C will be located. We didn't ask and ours is outside our bedroom window. Not happy about it, but can't do anything about it.
