Absolutely terrible experience with Pulte

I wouldn't buy another home from Pulte if they were the last home builder on earth. They pushed us to close before the house was complete and we never got to do a final walk through when the house was cleaned and ready for inspection. They have given us the runaround on getting everything completed and we are still finding things that are wrong. While we were promised that the house would be made right, we are almost 2 months into living in the house and repairs still need to be done. And now the response time to get things completed is whenever they feel like it. I am incredibly ...

The sales office will mislead you. For example, I paid for pull out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets. There are 3 cabinets. They only will put drawers in 2 of them - When I asked they said - Oh, that is the way we do it. We don't put them in the third one. I paid for soft closing cabinet doors. They didn't tell me that it was only SOME cabinets, not all. They painted the inside the wrong color and then wanted to repaint the entire inside after I moved in. Materials are cheap. the kitchen cabinets have gaps and drawers often come off the rails. The bathtub is a bad design. ...

Very poor customer experience before construction and Poor service after construction.. One time.. the Sales consultant told me to get out of the Sales office without any reason when I was asking some clarification, Change on the plan, and Requesting some documents for lot premium..(How it would be decided and any rule or process followed to come up with the premium amount.) About the HOA... They have specified the 2 digit number all time till before Closing.. and they strike out the HOA amount and changed to 3 digit number just before signing that HOA page time of closing. During walk ...

seems like everyone is trying to get their bonus and hit their goals by rushing to close. After moving in, I realized there are excessive amount of repairs and fine tuning needed (very sloppy work). Spending few minutes in each room during walk thru is completely insufficient. That burden should not be placed on homeowner and it should be with the builder/field manager. Paint drips all over the floor and carpet, gaps and chips throughout the house, loose faucet/sink, etc..etc.. Seems like there are too many homes going up at same time and not enough quality control and not enough field ...

Pulte Sales team at Davis Ranch lacks integrity, respect, and a sense of honesty. The sales team says one thing, but then won't honor it, claiming I misheard them. Unfortunately for them, I've got a knack for holding onto things... especially when it comes to writing things down, recording meetings on my phone, and keeping track of every single email, but even that wasn't good enough proof for them. First, how do you justify the fact that my neighbor and I bought each house on the same day... and he paid less than I did for a higher configuration? Second, if the designs for a model change, ...

I have purchased 5 brand new homes over the past 30 years. Lots of experience with various builders. THIS IS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH PULTE AND IT WILL BE MY LAST. I'LL SEE TO IT THAT MY VOICE IS HEARD TO INFLUENCE OTHERS AGAINST PURCHASING A PULTE HOME. See below for the details. My Pulte home has THE WORST initial build quality I have ever experienced amongst the 5 different builders from whom I purchased 5 brand new homes over the last 30 years. The build crew either is inexperienced or simply does not care about doing a quality job. I paid extra for upgraded interior trim packages ...

The outside light fell apart within days of moving in when a moderate wind blew across our neighborhood. The plastic mold between our outside door and the door frame keep falling apart, making cold air rush into the building. The water heating system is a mess; when one bath heater is turned on, every other heating system goes cold. This means that everyone in the household needs between 30 minutes to one hour in the morning to take turns for shower.

Pulte does not fix problems, they hide problems! In my master bathroom I ordered gray grout to match the tile grout in my shower. Instead they installed white grout!! Instead of fixing the problem the correct way, tear out the 100 square feet of tile and install new tile with the correct grout they decided to use a grinder and try to grind out some of the grout. And in places near the wall all they did was put silicone grout on top of the white grout, That was not what I ordered and now the grout is concave above the floor line. Also now I have razor sharp edges on my tile. So now the problem ...

We have a beautiful home, but don’t look too close. Pulte has absolutely zero care for quality. We still have paint splatters on the floors, crooked window jambs, visible drywall seams on the ceilings, visible nail holes and joints on trim throughout low voltage cable installed in the wrong place. All of which was pointed out to Pulte multiple times and promised to be fixed before closing. We’ve been in the house for a month and those issues are not fixed. While the salesperson (David) and Erin (Project Manager) were both terrific, the overall experience in building a Pulte home was anything but. They are the definition of a tract builder that slaps up the houses in record time...workmanship is atrocious. But, the fact that we were told just a few days before closing that our home did not appraise is sickening. We didn't even do many upgrades (like countertops, flooring, fixtures) because the Pulte offerings were so outdated...can't even imagine how much more under the appraised value the home would have been with these items added to the ...

When I found out that Pulte was the builder I did not have high hopes and Pulte did not disappoint. The house was wrong from they day the footers were dug incorrectly which is an issue I had to point out to the Field Manager myself. There isn’t enough space to go into detail with all the issues that we encountered during this build. I fully expect there to be major structural issues with the house within the 10 year structural warranty. Pulte builds a SOLID structure. The quality of the inside craftsmanship is more like I’m moving into a remodeled home. Or let me put it this way, when I buy a new car I expect a NEW CAR, without a scratch on it. Or I bought my home based on the Model home. Pulte would never sell homes based on the craftsmanship of my home.
