Very pleased with the quality of my home. Minor issues quickly resolved.

The experience of building a townhome in Retreat on the Monon was ideal! Selection of materials is on site, and very nice quality, even the lower priced materials. The project manager was very approachable and clear on the explanations of the property. Our home was completed 2 months ahead of schedule!!!

The quality of the work by Pulte is definitely very good for a national builder. When you are going thru the sales and design process be sure to ask for details on every item. They will charge you 1000's for item, but when it is built, it is not what they explained. When you are looking at the model homes you are not looking at the home you will end up with. Example, the model home had the wainscoting in the dining room, but it does not actually come in the home. They will not offer it as an option either. In the end, the home is well built, but you are definitely paying a premium for a cookie cutter home from a national builder. ... More

Mostly a good experience, however no one has contacted me about the issues we did have, which is greatly disappointing.

We were very disappointed with Pulte in almost every step of the process. It started with the offer of incentives to use Pulte Mortgage which was not competitive and they changed their numbers on what our payment would be through an “honest” mistake. Needless to say we shopped around then and found much better rates/payment. Loan match guarantee? Promised- but couldn’t do. Work that was supposed to be finished prior to closing, was not. Spending hours of our time to get issues fixed. Not a positive experience.

Project took longer than expected at the initial stage, thus pushing the move-in date up. Had some issues having pre-closing punch list addressed. But overall, a company that genuinely strives for good service, and a very good value for a home.

Excellent overall experience

Pulte Mortgage is NOT consumer friendly. I would look elsewhere for a mortgage lender. I had problems from start to finish.

There were a lot of inconsistencies between what we were told as far as timelines and our options, and what actually happened. There were numerous errors that were caught along the way with design and at one point almost walked away from the home. However, in the end the quality of the home turned out great, but not the exact design we were hoping for.

Our experience with Pulte has been amazing, especially after our experience from previously purchasing a home from DR Horton. The quality of the home, craftsmanship, service and ease of contact with the right people has been wonderful. It's been 1 month now since we closed and we can't be happier with our decision to go with Pulte.

The final walk through was very thorough and the representative from Pulte spent a great deal of time with us. All the items that we identified to be addressed were completed before move in.

Overall it's been ok but not fully satisfied experience. More transparency would be really helpful

We recently purchased a home from Pulte. We are very happy with the our home and the process as the home was being built. Pulte brings years of home building expertise and it shows throughout the home building process.

Sales and financing were great, very helpful. I am dissapointed in the quality of the home. The details are very sloppy and unfinished in some areas. Already having to submit a warranty claim and I have only lived there for a month.

We had issues from the get go with the Design Center to the Project Manager to Pulte Management. Every little thing was answered with "no, we can't do that", or "we're not a custom home builder." The Design Center was limited on some items and everything that was "included" was old school, old colors, or discontinued. There was one tile included for the floors and bathroom tile; it was beige. From there, everything was an upgrade. Now onto the Project Manager....while our house was being framed, I was a puddle in the middle of the house from the rain; the project manager's response was "it happens and depending on your flooring selection, it will leveled out." What? Next can you not put up tile racks in the bathrooms? Project Manager: "we have to do everything the way it is on the specs." Again, what? We're talking a minuscule item! City of Henderson Water Dept couldn't sign off because Pulte failed to comply in time after begin rejected twice by the City. Fortunately we knew someone who worked for the City, and Pulte corrected the problem knowing they were coming to inspect so we could keep our closing date. Prior to that at our walk-thru, the project manager told us that our closing would be delayed because they put in the wrong carpet. Really? And we were just supposed to say "oh, okay." No once again, I got on the phone with our sales person who really couldn't help and then I insisted that her manager call me. The next day miraculously the manager "found" the same carpet in the area and it was replaced. Our framing on the master bedroom window sags; and the ceiling/floor is off by 3/4" thus making crown molding almost impossible. Another wall is not level. The painters did a horrible job on the exterior. Paint is all over our pavers and there are some areas that aren't finished off. We love our house but we would not recommend Pulte Homes. The only positive things I have to say about our home is the view, the architect who did a fabulous job utilizing the space, and the flooring. ... More

Everyone involved in the process was professional and helpful in every way possible, I highly recommend to friends and family to stop by and talk with someone, so they can receive the same satisfaction that I have received.

Despite a few minor setback, our overall experience with Pulte from day one was a positive one. Our saleslady was very knowledgeable, personable, & replied to emails & phone calls in a very timely fashion. The design center experience was a fun one as well. Our project manager was very communicative with us in every step of the build process. He also answered questions & responded to concerns we raised in a very timely fashion. Securing our financing through Pulte Mortgage was not difficult, but our loan officer, though very friendly, could have been more helpful. We weren't provided with many different loan products or scenarios to fit out budget. We had to do our own research of available loan structures & bring them to her attention. Fortunately, Pulte offered the same products that others did, we just didn't know about them up front. The overall construction of our house met our expectations. It was completed faster than we thought, which raised some concerns that certain things may have been rushed or overlooked. One example was the interior paint job. Most rooms in the house either had a very thin layer of paint or a lot of drywall overspray in spots. We paid for upgraded paint inside the house, & we don't feel we got our money's worth. There were a few other disappointing things as well, but nothing that was a deal breaker. For example, midway through the build process, they decided to change the vanity in the master bathroom to one that had fewer drawers & less functionality. We were not really given a decent explanation for this, & my wife was very upset about it (still is). Another example was the way they went about installing tubes inside of the walls to hide cables for wall-mounted TV's. It was not done how we were lead to believe. It ended up being an incredible headache. Aside from a few other negligible things, we are very satisfied with our new home. The finishes are beautiful, the yard is beautiful, the landscape is beautiful, & our neighborhood is beautiful. We are very happy to have chosen Pulte to build our new home. ... More
