We have been extremely happy with our Pulte home. Our builder kept us informed throughout the construction process and ensure our house was built to his high standards. We have been very impressed with the energy efficiency, smart appliances as well as the fit and finish. Any issues identified have been resolved quickly by our builder.

My Pulte home is the 5th new build I have moved into, and the only one where I was extremely disappointed with the experience. Pulte does not offer any opportunity for changes except what is on their very overpriced options list. It seems like there are lots of options but most of these are still highly constrained in terms of what you can pick from. Other builders I have worked with were fine with simple change orders but not Pulte. They chose windows inferior in quality and convenience, no thermostat in my finished basement (only 1 in the house - in the master bedroom!), you can't get real hardwood floors, they gave me a plastic faucet for the kitchen sink, and put a crater in my basement with drainage pipes going into it that prevented me from using a large part of the unfinished space for my shop (not in the model and no way to know they would do that). That is just a sample of my disappointments. I also had to get them to adhere to the plan, having left off some items I should have gotten but weren't there when I walked through. I think the basic build quality is good but they cut some corners that a quality builder would not have so I don't know how they expect to have happy homeowners. They do address warranty items but I have so many projects to do on this house that would have been so easy to do at the time of construction. You don't want reviewers to hear what I think, wouldn't recommend pulte homes

We had an awesome experience with Pulte from start to end. Completely satisfied with design and quality of the work. We want to say special thanks to Sales officer “Ben” to construction manager “Carl” went beyond to make sure that we were happy Pulte Homeowner. We are extremely pleased and have confidently say that we pushed the right neighborhood with the right builder.

I purchased home, financed, insured by Pulte Homes and received a professional service throughout the entire process.

Pulte does good work. I would recommend buying a home from them.

People were always very reponsive to me. No complains. However regarding quailty of material is perceived after a little more than a month in the house. The whole second floor squeaks, in some areas very loud where we avoid to walk when little kids are sleeping. Carpet instalation is very poor, there are places where it is already pealing off and also there are many places with carpet nail not properly installed that hurts when we walk over. Hardwood Floors have gaps in some areas which are not supposed to have as we can see in the rest of the house. I believe the one year review will take many days to solve all the issues. ... More

Great process.

House not delivered on original schedule

The woman who handled our purchase has been great and has been very responsive when we brought up concerns. However, the man responsible for our home construction was nice enough, but we are still waiting a month later for him to fix problems noted prior to closing. Though he repeatedly told us that he would be with us for thirty days following closing. The warning about “getting work done before they get your money” could not be truer. He missed two options we had requested. The first was fixed prior to closing. The second was a double sink in the bathroom. There was only one sink installed. He “guaranteed” the correct set up within 4 days. Then it was moved to the next week and then moved again. Finally, we said enough. However, the job we finally got left the bathroom filthy with three areas of the drywall needing attention (which I will end up doing). And now neither the mirror nor the lighting fixture is centered. So we are forced to accepted substandard work because he did not read the plans. We also paid a lot of money for upgraded walls. As we paint the walls, I cannot believe all of the wall prep that I have to do to fill in problems with the drywall and sand down huge areas of paint drips. (I won’t even go into how bad the paint is.) But I will mention the poor workmanship with the baseboards. There are numerous gaps that they attempted to fill with caulk only to even do a bad job with the caulk. Right now, we are dealing with popping noises coming from the canned lights in the kitchen and bathroom, and a loud garage door opener. Quality is good, design is nice but a little longer time to respond on issues or queries.

Our experience started out wonderfully but we ignored the fact this is not a custom builder. They are a first off quantity builder, meaning they build as many as possible as quickly as possible. They have a system that helps them achieve this. The home is delivered partially built to the site and put together like a puzzle. You cannot make changes, upgrades or choices outside of their guidelines. Quality is satisfactory but not outstanding, also craftsmanship varies according to quality of crews hired to work. We have lived in a custom built home where the builder took pride in his product, Pulte builds communities with houses that look nice. In order to get issues handled you have to submit them to a site, they forward to the apporioate person, you wait for that person to contact you to make an appointment to address your issue. If not an emergency you are asked to wait until your 11’th month walk through. Most of the people we worked with did their jobs well but they couldn’t do them extremely well because corporate rules/guidelines/regulations tie their hands. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, watch the process as closely as possible, and don’t expect your home to be perfect. We waited over 6 weeks for the foreman to bother to get around to taking care of our celebration walk through list and that’s only because we had to complain otherwise we’d still be waiting. ... Craftsmanship not up to par. Moved in two months ago and there are still fixes taking place on the home and yet to have a yard. Had to get on pulte just to get a rough grade on our yard and after 3 weeks finally happened by getting higher ups at Pulte involved and also getting with the landscape company. Very irritating that when fixes were to take place it would take contractors 2-3 tries to get it right. I would never recommend Pulte built home to friends or family and in fact i would steer them away. Don't get me wrong, we love the house and the layout but it is very aggravating to get to this point and we have been living here 2 months now. Ian and Ryan have been great to work with but the quality of workers and poor attention to detail by them is a reflection of Pulte as a whole. ... More

Neighbors are great! I am sad to say I am still waiting to be able to use my shower in the master bath. My builder was sent to another area in the process of finishing the issues with my home. He tried but couldn't get contractors out to finish the jobs. You for sure need to keep an eye on the work that's done inside. Like painting inside and out, floors and the doors. Don't take anyone's word it will be taken care of. Don't sign off on anything until it's done!

The emergency release cord from the garage opener is to long. When I closed my car door it got caught and I did not notice it. So when I pulled out it was active and closed the door on top of my car.

Our sales rep., Gita Adib, was lovely and very helpful. Our field manager, Shawn Turner, was very nice and responsive to our concerns. We have to say that after closing, responsiveness is NOT good. We were given 30 days from closing to email a list with cosmetic concerns that we wanted addressed. Most, if not all, of our concerns were noted at our "Celebration" walk through and not taken care of. A representative from Pulte, Brad, was sent to take a look at our requests and he set up two appointments with us. He seemed very nice and understanding about the things we wanted taken care of, going so far as to say that he and his wife wouldn't accept the things that were of concern to us. On the day of the first appointment, no one showed up to do the work. When we called, we were told by the person who answered the phone, Sadie, that there were no appointments scheduled for us but she would have Brad call us back. That was six days ago. We have phoned every business day since and the first two days we followed up we were told that Brad was busy and he would call us back when he can. The last two days, our calls have been sent directly to voicemail, with no call back from Sadie or Brad. Very disappointing. Someone we know built a Pulte home in another development and had the same problem. She finally wrote to the corporate office and finally got someone to call her back. The service provided by Pulte is very satisfactory.

Pulte is an amazing builder with beautiful work.

Our build manager was absolutely incredible. So responsive, attentive and thoughtful throughout the process.

The process was so easy we were preparing for something to go wrong or get delayed. But we were pleasantly surprised when we closed earlier than expected. Highly recommend the Pulte Finance team too, they were awesome to work with and made it easy to understand our options.

Corey has been very nice and responsive. We have a few more items outstanding but I feel confident that everything will be resolved.

I had the most wonderful experience with the purchase of my new home. My wife and I were both thrilled about the customer service we received. My manager was outstanding and was always there when we needed him. His name is Alan and he is an amazing person. I would highly recommend a Pulte home to anyone.

From our initial walk though of the model homes to the contracting of the build and design center, everything was great! Both our sales representative John and our construction manager JT both kept us up to date and invited us to be a participating part of our home construction. We are very happy with our purchase and would do again.

Tyler the job supervisor is great however the vendors are not. The appliance vendor is terrible. They set the refrigerator with shims instead of leveling t without telling anyone. Then they broke off a support leg without telling anyone. They came back and left the frig set 2 inches higher on one side than the other. Finally the came back with a new frig. They damaged the walls, railings and floor transition in the process. They got dirt and grease all over the doors, frig and cabinets without cleaning them up. Miserable vendor who should be fired. This is a common problem with this vendor and everyone knows about it. ... More
