From the Pulte sales models...to our salesman...our home buying experience has been great! We love our new home! We did have a few minor items that needed attention--AND? Pulte and their crew were quickly responsive! Our house is very well built and energy efficient! We like the neighborhood and the view of the Sandia Mountains.

From start to finish Glen and Chuck help and guided us in the success of our new home. The mortgage and financial teams were easy to work with and very informative on what was needed for the acquiring of our dream home. Even after being here for over a month glen and chuck still say hello and make sure that we are not having any issues.

The purchase process was smooth. The time it took to build was quicker than we expected. The team kept us informed of the progress and made it easy to stay up to date.

As first time homebuyers, my fiance and I were incredibly impressed with the care and customer service given by our builder Bobby and sales rep Stephanie. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and wouldn’t have wanted to work with anyone else!

Going into the purchase of my new home I was excited and enthusiastic. Pulte had such a good reputation, however, that soon changed! They did NOT live up to their reputation in any area! No one paid any attention to the workmanship the sub contractors were doing resulting in sloppy, shoddy workmanship. It seems like the Pulte model is “throw it together and if the buyer complains - fix it - and fix it as cheaply as it can be done. I used Pulte Mortgage and definitely do not recommend them to future buyers. I used Pulte Title, PGP Title, and still have not received a copy of the fully executed documents or the certified survey I was charged for, even though I have asked for it several times and left messages. I called the survey company and was told they gave 6 certified copies to the title company to give me. The last message I received from the sales agent said the survey company was mailing them to me directly. That was 2 weeks ago - still nothing. No one from the title company calls back or responds. They were disorganized and not responsive. Extremely disappointed and cannot stress enough “BUYER BEWARE!” . ... More

Overall it’s a good experience. All staffs were nice and efficient in the entire process. Except one thing that made us feel very unpleasant. Our home includes an upgrade that’s worth about $100k. All upgraded items were listed with their prices. One of the item was a kitchenAid fridge and its highest price I could found on internet is about $2700 before tax but they charge me $4200! I meant if you wanna take money out of my pocket, you should have allocate the profit to something I can’t get its price easily on the internet. Charging me $4200 for a fridge which is worth $3000 at most makes me feel like I’m a fool! Now it makes me wonder how much the upgrade is really worth. ... More

It was excited yet worrisome for being first time home buyer. However, the sale rep and the construction manager are following the whole process to be smooth and have perfect results. I would be forever thankful to them as they answered all the questions that we could come up anytime. I would recommend Pulte for great professionalism and care.

While I like the home overall, the quality that Pulte keeps telling you about does not exist. Over 30 days post close and our punch list still has not been addressed. The end product is not satisfactory and we still have multiple issues with the home. The bandaids are already falling off. The cabinets are cheap. The only upgrades I would recommend are foundational with extended rooms otherwise I would recommend minimal upgrades and do it yourself post close. When it comes to the punch list, they simply remove the tape and not fix the original issue that was taped. And when they actually fix the issue, they create more. Our driveway is already cracking after bringing repaired twice. The interior paint job is like a 3rd grader did the painting. Nice home but terrible quality. Just prepare yourself for an end product that is nice but lacks the “Pulte Quality,” or maybe this is what Pulte considers quality? ... More

Brandon, the sales rep was not the best to work with. Information was left out, which led to issues during the building process and the close. Other than that, experience was good. The design center was a cool experience, didn't have everything we wanted with their options, but it worked out well and happy with the home.

So Pulte left me hangign when Sunpower went bankrupt. I paid for the system. During Sunpower bankruptcy, Pulte advised Solaria is taking over the solar systems asset dibision and all the terms and vonditions stays the same. It turned out that was not true. I've been trying to the system connected for a while now and get tossed from one department to the other. This was not what I signed up for and I told the sales rep with this whole Sunpower bankruptcy, Pulte is going to leave their chstomers to bear the cost. Exactly what I predicted is what is happening. I think if ad customer we are not able to get the silar system activated, Pulte should refund the cost for the system. Also, the power outlet in the bathroom does not work. The flooring in the kitchen seem not prpperly installed. The wood seems to be coming off. ... More

From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional and responsive. I was kept informed every step of the way, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They were not only helpful and courteous but also made sure to maintain clear communication with the homeowner throughout. I truly appreciated their dedication and attention to detail.

I love my home I think it’s very beautiful. Minor and some major concerns after only a few months living here. Construction was fast; however with speed they lacked attention to DETAIL. Half my electrical outlets throughout the house don’t work. Finding trash in the walls and outlets. Prepare to not have grass on closing date!

Bad material and bad construction technique.

Too many quality issues with appliances(range, microwave) not working and needed replacement. Lot of painting tapes not cleared and needed to pinpoint.Electrical issues with lighting and plugs.

We purchased a "spec home" so we did not have any input as to colors, design, etc. However, the home has a lot of upgrades we are enjoying. Would like to see a wall built up more between the houses so as not to look into someone else's bathroom window-for more privacy.

Questionable work by contractors. Poor drywall work, crooked walls, nail pops in ceiling, uneven flooring, lumps in carpet, caulking separating from counter, dings in cabinets.

The sales team is awesome and would work with you in getting the house bought for you. They were patient and very coachable. Once we bought the house, we ran into multiple issues when we first moved in. Chipped upgraded cabinets, circuit issues, laundry power plug, oven shutting down, new dishwasher flooded, window drafts, and a couple others. Robert the manager was constantly trying to get things fixed with a lot of delays with multiple vendors. It did leave us a sour taste at the beginning when we first moved in. When en things finally slowly got fixed, we were able to get started. So we think that the builders have done a sloppy job with the house. Pulte is a good company but watch out for the house builders and to make sure they did the job correctly. ... More

Have had a few issues, largest being that the fence around the property was torn down in the last hurricane - back in October. Being told construction on a new one won't even begin until January. 3 months without a fence when we're paying to be in a "gated community". Also were told no damage to our roof in the storm (we were out of town) only to find out - by accident - weeks later that a section of our roof had been torn off. Overall, Pulte has been pretty responsive when repair requests have been made, and we've had a couple. Overall, we love the home - at least we WILL once we have a fence back up! ... More

Since this was our first "new build," my wife and I were extremely excited from the beginning of the buying process. We have two little kids and wanted a house we could make a home to make memories in. We were fortunate to be able to afford a house in Sheldon Woods and add all the upgrades we wanted. However, since moving into the house, we learned that some of the materials used were cheap and some of the craftsmanship of the work could have been and should have been better. We began having electrical issues within a few days of moving in, followed by a loose pipe in the walls connected to the washer machine. Actually, we had electrical problems since before closing that were found by our private inspector. These were allegedly minor issues and were fixed by our closing day. We submitted a service request, and they came out to fix the electrical issue (outlets tripping the breaker, preventing us from using them for daily household appliances) and secured the pipe after having to cut the wall. However, since November 9th, I've submitted seven service requests for electrical problems. Problems that should not be occurring. For example, outlets are constantly tripping from simply trying to use a washing machine, a coffee machine, a toaster oven, a hair dryer, a hair straightener, and a vacuum. All of these are new, reliable brands and made for the standard 120v residential outlets. For several days at a time, I have not been able to wash my clothes and, in fact, have had to leave work clothes soaked in the washer because it would not stay on for the water to drain and the door to unlock. All the outlets I had issues with would not be able to hold power once they tripped until several hours later or until the electrician came out and replaced the breakers. Since then, the customer service manager for the area would come with the electrician and try to diagnose the issue of what was causing these power trips along with flickering lights I've told them about and caught on camera. They eventually determined that one of the ports in the "bus" had a poor connection to the breaker and moved the breaker to another spot. However, the problems continued, and I was told the breakers used were Arc Fault breakers connected to GFI's, making them too sensitive. This, to me, made sense to an extent, but not completely, as it was various locations of these trips and it did not explain the light issues. Furthermore, the neighbors have not had the same electrical issues, and I am pretty certain they use all of the above-mentioned household items. I am now on my 7th service request because after the breakers were replaced this morning in my master bath and washer, I plugged in my vacuum upstairs, and it tripped instantly again. This would then turn off the lights in my master bath. This breaker was allegedly replaced again this morning. For the amount of money we are paying for these homes (significantly overpriced), my family and I should not be having this kind of issues. I will say that they come out and try to fix the issues each time I submit a service request. However, it seems as though they are just doing a "workaround" correction and not trying to figure out the true problem of what is causing these headaches. This has become a daily problem and such a nuisance that I have reached out to my attorney and briefed him on the problems. My next step will be trying to get an electrical engineer not connected to Pulte. As much as I love the house, I can not say that I am happy with the end result, nor that I would recommend Pulte to any of my closest friends or relatives. We had emailed a number of times through the building process, a number of concerns were assured and not fulfilled. Final walk through was horrible with damage, failures, and craftsmanship issues, throughout the house. After Final walk and keys were provided, PULTE representatives do not respond or stay it was not on the final walk through notes, "so sorry" or that "is normal." We are very disappointed in the builder and their representatives!
