Pulte is a quality builder. My home experience has been very satisfactory! A few issues have cropped up but Pulte has been pretty fast to respond with quality fixes for the issues. I feel confident in my purchase.

We were moving from far away. Therefore we had to rely on others which ended up working out. Being here from framing to completion would be ideal. I think that Pulte could provide more information earlier in the process including written timelines for when things are happening. I also think they need to provide more flexibility with their models. The ability to add a window or door or enlarge a porch or patio should be considered.

A few minor issues, most have been addressed quickly

The level of customer service we received from the on-site sales agent was exceptional. From the very beginning, through to completion of our home building process, she communicated with us on a regular basis. She responded quickly to all of our questions honestly and professionally, which was so very much appreciated since we were moving from another state and unfamiliar with some local practices. It was a genuine pleasure to work with someone who was so positive, knowledgeable and efficient.

We had a good experience with Pulte. We were told by locals that they had a good reputation in the area, (despite seeing negative comments online) and felt confident to make an offer on a quick move in property. The sales team was thorough, the designers authoritative and attentive and the site manager exceptional. House was completed on time and in good order. Most importantly the process was well organized and easy to understand. Thanks Pulte!

Good builder but sloppy finishing work overall

The whole process was quick and easy

Salesperson was a great help in designing home and materials used. Our general contractor left to move to Georgia about half way through the build. We were assigned a new contractor who took over build. After we moved in to our new home we discovered many finishing defects in home. After making a list of problems and being assured problems would be taken care of a month and a half later none of these problems have been repaired. These are not structural problems but finishing problems. Such as doors that don’t close. Door handles that don’t lock. Cement work stained on walk way. Sloppy and unfinished painting. We bought a house with Pulte, and we had 2 separate field managers, initially, there was an error in the construction of the house, the height of one of the rooms was not at the designated height, it was caught later on and work had advanced so the room was not fixed, it was left as is, the quality of work inside is not the best, in the ceiling the where two sheets of sheetrock adjoin its easy to tell because the ceiling dips down, it is easily seen throughout the whole house, the paint is the lowest quality, we touch the wall and they are immediately stained, there were several issues that were brought up before closing and 2.5 months after closing we are still waiting for them to be addressed. the sodding of the yard in the back was done in a sloppy manner, there are gaps between sodding lines which will need to be filled in to prevent an uneven lawn. ... The builder is forced to employ subs that are not the quality that we experienced with our prior Pulte Homes. Pulte appears to be pushing its subs to get things done quicker rather than better. Pulte appears to rely on its post settlement process of repairing and/or replacing items or workmanship that should have been done right in the first place. The process simply stated is that you tell us what is wrong and we will check it out and get it corrected as soon as we can (which is not necessarily quickly). We would have to give much thought before we would purchase another Pulte Home.

The buying experience was great! I love my home! Just disappointed with many of the finishing 'touches'. Trim work on stairs is less than stellar, almost amateur, there are holes in the sheetrock where plumbing is attached and the cabinets have many dings. Those are a few items on my list.

I have had several issues with the home that were not corrected , the site manager stop communicating with me so now I am working with your warranty department hoping to get some repairs taken care of, so the experience was great up until closing then things have gone down hill from there.

Trust worthy and great customer service.

Only been in the house a month. Follow up repairs was a little cumbersome with matching up dates that worked for the builder and the home owner. Still have a pipe in my front yard. The builders says it belongs to the house next to ours, which is still under construction by a different builder. Spoke to the other builder and he states it belongs to Pulte.

Overall I would recommend Pulte to anyone as they were as professional as they could be - including their mtg process

Overall, everyone we dealt with has been helpful, professional, and responsive. Given how many homes Pulte is building, and the schedules they must keep, it is probably inevitable there will be glitches, either small or large. Fortunately, most of the glitches we have seen have tended to be small. The proof of how well a builder will stand behind their work is their readiness to correct problems as they are discovered. So far Pulte has been pretty good, but we're still waiting on a few things to be addressed, one month after closing on the house. All in all, very, very good!

Was really pleased with the entire process. The house was completed on time and we were very satisfied with our foreman.

Disappointing that we had to pay almost $2000 for a light gray paint throughout the house instead of the standard white - and its MATTE paint! You have no choice in finish. Every little nick and fingerprint shows. Don’t waste your money - repaint yourself. We’ve talked to other owners who just leave paintbrush and paint can handy for retouches before anyone comes over. That is crazy. Stove damaged upon install - hard to believe no one knew! I tried to bake and flames burnt the flooring underneath the stove. Took over a week to get a new one. The painters are very sloppy - paint on glass doors, carpets, inside tub, etc. We have been in a month and still waiting to get it all cleaned up. Travis is great to work with and responsive but the whole process is slow and cumbersome. They did help get the CO reissued after it failed right before our closing so we could go ahead with movers and that was appreciated. Make sure you understand VERY clearly where your driveway and access will be. Many homes have storm drains at the base of the driveway which preclude you from getting in and out with ease. ... More

Do not use Pulte Mortgage no matter what. This was the only very bad experience I had with this whole process. Other than that a professional organization, albeit a little mechanical.

Without a doubt, the best part of our home buying experience were the two Construction Managers, Henry, and Garrett, who we worked with throughout the entire homebuilding experience. Their communication, attention to detail, and care for our experience was exceptional. The Pulte Mortgage group was also outstanding. We love the design and function of our new home. The need for work on drainage is being addressed and we are being kept aware of what (and when) drainage installation is being done.

Your experience with building a new home is 100% dependent on the quality of your Construction Manager. Fortunately, after the first month they switched us to a rock star. Henry was superb. His communication skills, attention to detail, calmness under pressure, customer service soft skills, and organizational skills were the sole reason this build was a success. While most CMs would have let little things slide, Henry took personal pride in the home build as if it was his own home. He is an asset to Pulte and I truly hope they compensate him well. I also wanted to briefly express our appreciation to Hannah from the sales team. She advocated for us when contractual issues came up and corrected them to our satisfaction. Pulte like most big builders are subject to the local talent and of course what they are willing to pay for hiring sub-contractors. Some contractors are more competent than others. I don't blame Pulte 100% for that since any home builder that doesn't have their own teams would be at the mercy of the contracting pool available in that area. Honest and trustworthy. Knowledgeable

Overall, working with Pulte was a good home-building experience.

Better than previous years .

Shane was a very good person to work with. Did what he said he would do and in very ample time.
