Good builder but sloppy finishing work overall

Started great but with Covid we were pushed back seven times. Now we have struggled to get things finished even though we have lived here over a month. Overall the house is amazing but getting things buttoned up has been a slow process for us

Many items were left incomplete, even though promised, the week of closing and remain that way a month later. We should have held out and made Pulte live up to their end of the contract.

We were very pleased from the beginning until the end. The staff was very good to work with. I have told other people about this community. All in all it was a good experience and we are very happy.

The whole Pulte team has been very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. This was our first home purchase and they made it a very smooth and stress free experience!

Overall, everyone we dealt with has been helpful, professional, and responsive. Given how many homes Pulte is building, and the schedules they must keep, it is probably inevitable there will be glitches, either small or large. Fortunately, most of the glitches we have seen have tended to be small. The proof of how well a builder will stand behind their work is their readiness to correct problems as they are discovered. So far Pulte has been pretty good, but we're still waiting on a few things to be addressed, one month after closing on the house. All in all, very, very good!

The total buying experience with Pulte was easy, smooth and flawless. Alexandra in the sales office was the absolute best! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire process. She is still i contact to ensure all is continuing to be the best home experience ever. The loan department made this one of my all time easiest loans to obtain. The team was in constant contact, ensuring everything remained on schedule to close on time. The construction managers, Ben and Aidan, have been fabulous as well. Aidan has assisted to resolve a couple minor issues and provide expert guidance with my questions. Poor quality of workmanship & materials. Still trying to get open items fixed, and trying to get an issue sorted where the wrong shower door was put it.

Overall it was an easy process. Definitely some things here and there that could be improved upon- paint randomly places, carpet not fully against wall, and baseboard transitions not flush.

Trust worthy and great customer service.

Salesperson was a great help in designing home and materials used. Our general contractor left to move to Georgia about half way through the build. We were assigned a new contractor who took over build. After we moved in to our new home we discovered many finishing defects in home. After making a list of problems and being assured problems would be taken care of a month and a half later none of these problems have been repaired. These are not structural problems but finishing problems. Such as doors that don’t close. Door handles that don’t lock. Cement work stained on walk way. Sloppy and unfinished painting. Love the house just wish these problems would be addressed in a timely fashion ... More

On field manager was always available during construction to answer questions and try to solve issues. Thirty days after closing he is no longer responsible. The next person in line is not as available and issues are unanswered leaving us as new homeowners to solve them

All of the on-site customer-facing representatives for Pulte were first rate--absolutely superb! Wish we could say the same for the behind the scenes characters who moved up our closing date by a month, costing us thousands of out-of-pocket dollars we weren't anticipating to have to pay.

We have worked with several builders both locally and nationally and Pulte Homes was by far the best experience from start to finish. Smooth, honest, and simple.

It was a very smooth process, good communication and we closed within 3 days of our projected date. Concerns have been addressed and taken care of! Would definitely recommend Pulte!

Finished product is a little less then I expected

Pulte would rather come back out to fix problems 3,4, and 5 times than do the job write the first time. They employ subpar contract laborers that are not skilled in their trades. We were told that everything past inspection, city code and inspectors have a really low bar.

The sales pitch was the best part! But the over-all quality of the house, specifically the craftsmanship, is very poor. As a company Pulte is worried more about everything else instead of doing a good job.

The process from beginning to end went very smoothly!

The builder site supervisor was great! There were some building practices where the workers were messy and didn’t care about going the whole nine yards to do it in the best way possible.

We love our New Model Home! We are new to the area of Johns Island Charleston, we are from upstate N.Y. The Craftmanship of Pulte is Outstanding!! We are very happy we decided on The Arbors!
