We thought Pulte homes are highest quality and workmanship but after moving we are disappointed with the way construction happend. It seems like rushed construction made distortions, defects. we are raising warranty tickets to correct them. Also we bought this home just for school purpose but school zone changed next day of our move in. So please tell customers likelyhood of changing school zone

We had an okay experience with the home buying process. The sales office and project manager were great to work with. We had a very upsetting experience with the Pulte Mortgage lender who preapproved us at 1.5% lower than their actual rate. We used another lender who was more than 1.5% lower than the mortgage company and Pulte came fighting for our business. We lost trust in them. The building of the homes is okay. There is poor craftsmanship throughout the home. I will say that they were addressed but a new counter top should not have a nick in it or the floors have repaired scratches. There was a lot of paint droppings on the floor and carpet that needed cleaned off. A few knobs are cross threaded. Onsite CM should be able to handle issues in lieu of needing to go to the computer and ask warranty

The cleaning before I moved in was pretty bad. The overall attention to detail was poor. And this was after two pre closing walkthroughs. However these are things that are easily fixable. Other than that they have been responsive to try to help fix the issues.

Lot of cosmatic mistakes -- like the wall finishes are not done properly. Base Boards are not done properly. The wall or the dry wall is uneven. Plumbing is not good. Outside grading is not good.

Not too bad but typical trac home construction.

Let me just start by saying we love our Pulte home. It’s beautiful, the layout makes sense, and it’s ours! However, not all parts of the process were ideal. The buying and material selection process were great. Our agent, Wayne, was so helpful and answered our million questions. My main concern is the quality of the workmanship of my home. There were so many issues during our walkthroughs where messy mistakes were made and not corrected. Our project manager seemed to brush a lot of these to the side in order to make the closing date and now we’re left submitting request after request through our warranties to get things to the quality they should’ve been when we closed. It’s very frustrating to have the stress of moving into a new home and now having to coordinate all of these visits from the different warranties to correct issues. Additionally, they laid our sod in the peak of the summer and it all died. We knew about this before closing, brought it up as a major major concern and were forced to sign a waiver assuming full responsibility for the already dead lawn. It has been an immense pain to re-grow new grass and now we’re looking at having to re-sod ourselves. It’s so frustrating. Construction of my 4th new home just happened to be slightly ahead of the pandemic. The mandated downtime made me look closer at workmanship and materials. I noticed several issues that I’ve requested action on, to no avail. Employees come and go, each promise timely service and then disappear. I resolve some issues myself without the hassle of trying to arouse the interest of the come-and-go Pulte workers.

The best advice we were given and didn't follow was "Don't settle until everything is correct!". We believed the people we spoke to had our best interest at heart. However, once they had our money, we were less of a priority...and we still are! We settled right as the pandemic took hold of the country. We appreciate that they needed to keep their workers safe. We only wish they had corrected all of the blue and green tape items that had been mark and promises they had made to us prior to us closing. Additionally, we are now finding out just how much "misinformation" we were given during our sales meeting. We had felt very comfortable with the sale person, but now realize just how much misinformation we were given. BEWARE! We'd love to talk to someone from Pulte about these issues! ... More

Pulte builds beautiful homes , however disappointed with them overlooking the attention to details and poor communication throughout the build process.

Great site construction manager 5 stars...the rest of the process was not satisfactory which brings down the overall experience to basically 2.5 stars

Partially shoddy craftsmanship. Cheap materials. Misinformed by salesperson.

While watching the building experience was enjoyable the continual issues we continue to have has not been. There has been a lot of pointing the finger when is comes to the repairs that need to be done. Most of which were addressed prior to closing. We have major drainage issues and I’ve reported this numerous times along with pictures and nothing has been resolved. Actually I’m getting ready to email Joy again. Not satisfied!

The buying process, NOT SO GOOD ( Lance) lack of information on optional and details. Did not provide all options which changed our buying process and the things we WANTED to select. Mike on the other hands as the saving Grace to keeping us in the house. He’s one of the best representatives we’ve ever worked with. He top notch and knows his craft. He’s the type of people you want managing ALL YOU BUILDS!!

We had great experiences with our sales agent and field supervisor. Steve, our field rep, was especially good--went the extra mile to ensure our concerns were addressed to the best of his ability. However, not even his best efforts could overcome the carelessness and sloppiness of the construction crew, and a handoff issue at the design center has caused disappointment and ongoing frustration. Post-sales/warranty support has been disappointing. It's taken multiple attempts and constant follow-up to get the remaining issues addressed. It's not a bad house, but if you buy here--do frequent walkthroughs and go through *everything* with a fine tooth comb. If you don't, you'll be chasing your tail for months trying to get things fixed. ... More

Thrown up as fast as possible and the small details have been very overlooked. Their contractors lack the quality they should be showing their clients and the customer ends up having that fight with Pulte and Pulte tries to get away with as much as possible.

Once our closing was complete, the response to the issues are way too slow Had to contact them numerous times.

We started the process very excited and optimistic, but after closing there were a lot of disappointments. The "upgrade"s we paid for, feel more like cheap downgrades due to poor material and workmanship. We paid extra for a recirculating pump on the water heater to have instant hot water; it was never delivered. We were promised a number of repairs and touch-ups will be made just prior to closing; after closing we found out many of those were never done... We were also given false information about various things like irrigation system, etc. only to find out it was all wrong.

I’m extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The closing was a nightmare and now I’ve been in the house for seven weeks and still have many issues with the house that have not been resolved.

Lack of attention to detail!

Mediocre quality and follow through from construction team! Pulte should do a better job upfront instead of sending subcontractors to constantly correct their mistakes.

For additional lot payments of $17,000 for an end unit and $23,000 for the lot premium, all that bought was a dining room window and side brick facade that does not align with the front brick facade. Usually an end unit has some bit of property on the side and back. I understood before making my deposit that abutting the fence would affect the size of the deck, but I did not expect the entire back lot to become a quarry due to the English basement foundation or the end unit to have absolutely no side lot. I specifically asked the sales agent about the lot because of my son’s dog and understood that some property would convey, but I should not fence it if I wanted the HOA to maintain it. I’m also surprised Pulte markets and prides itself as a quality builder with high standards and would skimp on two rows of bricks for a $500,000+ property. This is very obvious when standing at the corner of the property and looks like Pulte is trying to increase its profit by skimping on brick. Brick facades on the less expensive Teravista model align, so why not on the highest priced model in the Central Point development, Devereaux? I will not recommend Pulte’s attention to detail in masonry for the brick facade and end unit upcharge assessed to the buyer. The kitchen island placement does not conform to NKBA standards of 36” - 48” space between perimeter counters and the island. It was 63” from the perimeter. I expect a national builder like Pulte would conform to NKBA standards in all of its models, considering its promotions for kitchen innovations and kitchen throw-down competitions. I cannot recommend Pulte’s kitchen layouts because they are inconsistent between models, despite what it markets online for kitchen design and in its own interior photos for the Devereaux model in Charlotte. I have hired a private contractor to move the island for more efficiency. Even more of a surprise after settlement, there are NO - NO- towel racks included in ANY of the 4.5 bathrooms for a house that costs over $500,000!! I'm lucky that Pulte provided toilet paper holders for the 4 1/2 baths - woo hoo! - but is too cheap to buy towel bars and towel rings for each of the bathrooms. I contacted the customer care manager, Chris R., and this is what he said, "Our offerings such as towel bars and rings change from community to community. This is something that is decided upon by upper management and filtered down to the construction team and respective vendors. It more (sic) loosely based on the limited selection of styles and colors that we could offer in a production environment compared to all the differing styles and colors available in the marketplace.” That's a bunch of BS, because the design center offers upgrades on bathroom fixtures for the sinks and could've easily offered matching towel bars for the customer to purchase, since greed and profit appear to be the primary motivation for sales. If Pulte shortchanges the buyer on towel racks at Central Point, I wonder what other corners were cut during construction despite meeting code. This is the sixth home I have purchased in my lifetime, and this is the worst experience of any of them. The Central Point community appears very nice, but the interiors of the homes are not as attractive as they should be due to a lack of high quality workmanship. Additionally, my home buying experience with Pulte Homes was very disappointing. My celebration walkthrough was performed while my home was incomplete and while there were serious paint issues everywhere. I also required multiple independent home inspections before being able to feel comfortable with my purchase, and I did not appreciate being rushed to sign on my home before a passing inspection was obtained. Pulte Homes has a lot of potential, but the customer service needs work, and I strongly advise all future home buyers to obtain an independent inspection before purchasing. ... More

For the price paid our expectations were higher. We are unfortunately frustrated and surprised by the lack of responsiveness to multiple concerns we had and have now. Hoping for some resolution sooner than later.
