The building process was fine everything was explained fine, but Pulte finance was really, really bad. We almost list the home on Pulte's side of things.

Overall we are happy with our new home. During construction there were many times windows were left open, allowing rain to come in. This resulted in drywall and wood needing to be replaced. The drywall used is very cheap and very thin. Tile work is exceptional! There was a problem with the septic line upon move-in which required a plumber and the county to tear up the sidewalk and clear/reconnect the lines. Our biggest issue is the yard. Generally we are happy with our new home. There were issues with wrong roof trusses, which needed to be modified, and caused significant delays. We should have asked more questions in the design phase, as we made assumptions that caused disappointments.

Stay on top of them. Promises at times fall short, then it is dropped into the warranty department to address items that should have been completed the first time. Do a thorough walk through. Take your time. Recommend pushing for an escrow if item are not correct prior to closing.

Everything throughout the home building and buying experience was a pleasure. Unfortunately we had an inexcusable issue that seemed to be an issue with some other homes built but the response to those issues were beyond acceptable. They Warranty service team quickly addressed the issue and completed a full repair of the problem.

We have painting touch ups that have not been addressed, have not received our refrigerator, there are 3 windows on the front of our house that were put in backwards and not replaced yet, broken irrigation pipe. We moved in April 9th and still waiting for these issues to be addressed.

Let me start off with saying that we do love our new home. But the quality is not even close to what we expected for a $470k new home. The Pulte representatives we have spoken to are extremely professional, but the trades they hire do not seem to provide the quality of work I would expect. The finishings are not installed very well and we are already having issues that we are going through Pulty’s warranty process to resolve and we have only been here 2 months. It took from Sept. to one day before closing (March 31st) to tell us we were approved for a mortgage. It should not take that long. Still having issues after closing and I hope they can be resolved.

Home is nice and seems decently built. But when issues were found during final walkthrough the repairs were done quickly and improperly. Also quite a bit of the finishing work looks like it was done be a novice and never inspected. For the price I would expect better craftsmanship.

Several items were identified in the new home walk through. Pulte never directly addressed some of them and never made the requested repairs. Buckling Hardy board siding that was installed incorrectly was screwed down tighter, rather than repaired with the recommended gaps for expansion. The dead turf in the lawn was never replaced or fixed. After closing in and move in, we continued to request repairs they had agreed to make. Some were addressed, others never were. Given today’s current market and high interest rates, homes are more expensive than what one might unit expect; that should make the quality and care better alone! Unfortunately, the product we received at the end was flawed. The Pulte staff themselves seem to be good and want to supply the best customer service and home to the customer, HOWEVER all the sub-contractors are absolutely terrible! Pulte really needs to watch who they are hiring. Some of the work is embarrassing. S3, the siding company especially!!! I suggest looking into some other options.
