Pulte’s trust factor is low. They tried to get us to accept broken, faulty, dangerous cabinets in the kitchen even though they were aware of the problem before I saw the house the first time. I have been in the house over a month, and they have just now replaced them. The yard in the back is nothing but weeds. The cabinets have no pulls on them even though they were not made to be used without them, the appliances are very low grade, and Pulte refused to replace the tub/ shower combo for my son who is disabled and a vet even though I was willing to wait for it and pay for it. The price of the house was raised $100,000 but there are no upgrades to show for it. The homes are marketed for 55+, but I see no amenities inside that make them a choice for seniors. They were good at keeping us up to date with the build process

The builder had limited options for upgrades and even then the upgrades were pretty expensive. The quality of the work done while building the house wasn’t great at all. I don’t know if they were so short on labor that they just hired whoever to do the work, but the workers sure didn’t care about the quality of the work they did. Most of our 1st floor had to be repainted because they rushed through it. We already have a plumbing issue on the 1st floor and they yet have to send someone out. Overall not a good experience for the money paid.

We are thrilled with our new home. The Pulte sales and especially their construction crews are some of the hardest workers in the business!

i had good bad and ugly experience with Pulte so far. It is been a roller coaster ride and i hope it changes.

There are multiple issues in the house. Sod was not laid properly and was not watered properly until closing because of which most of my sod is already dead in spite of regular watering. Issues that were identified during prewalk are yet to be fixed and many issues identified during prewalk were only fixed after closing.

It was good and good experience with builder. Only thing is the material is not good.

I appreciate quality workers are hard to come by during this time but I was really disappointed at the quality of work and attention to detail…painting, staining, etc. we paid for all black, beautiful hardware throughout the house and almost every door knob has paint on it. Happy to be in the house but it’s clear at the end they just want to rush through things and close. I’d imagine Pulte would save a ton of money if things didn’t have to be redone 2 and 3 times…

There can be more value addition for the money paid for house. Builder should be having more professional staff for interior painting and trim works.

As far as the overall process , Pulte is a great company with a great staff. The on-Site reps do everything they can to make sure the house meets your expectations. However, Ensure you know what you are doing when at your design appointment. When you make changes to a feature; it’s not always explained to you how it will affect the other selections you have made. We went from having wood floors in our gathering room to having carpet when we specified no carpet on the first floor. A selection change we made basically added carpet to our living room without us knowing it; and we have pets, which is now a problem and will cost us more to have it fixed. This is not a direct line to Pulte, but it is a direct result of the design appointment being subcontracted to another company with their own way of fulfilling their contractual obligations. ... entire bricks, big rocks, and lots of gravel are left underneath the sod. the paint is the cheapest they can get. they are inflexible the exterior caulking looks like a 5 year old did it the concrete entrance way to the front door is an embarrassment have never bought a house with not one towel bar in it

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic I am happy with the whole process from finance to the builders. I appreciated the open communication and weekly updates whatever questions and concerns I had they were addressed and corrected in a timely manner..

Home was finished over a month late due to multiple avoidable delays, most of which occurred due to lack of time management and communication by the builder. Will never build with or recommend anyone to build with Pulte.

It was our first time building a home and it was an incredibly seamless process. There was great communication throughout and every issue we brought up was taken care of promptly. Our project manager answered all of our questions and was thorough in explaining the features of the home. He even followed up with an answer to a question after we had closed on the home. A very positive experience for us as first-time builders.

We chose pulte because of their reputation, But not very happy with the quality of the house.

From the minute that we have moved in we have had problems, the first one was the first night spent in our home when we had a water leak from the master shower trough the floors and into the kitchen which took several days to get the plumbing fixed and a couple weeks longer the get the holed patched and painted. All of the trims were done very sloppy, the paint is terrible and scuffs so easy and shows every blemish that wasnt repaired on the dry walls, but we were told they use top of the line paint. We have cabinets drawers in the kitchen that are installed crooked, even I know how to use a leveler! Our windows are scratched either from installation or from further construction done around them, and we have windows leaking.... I could go on and on about the things done incorrectly and poorly in this home!! For the price of the home it is a terrible job. They say that they will come back and fix things but I dont understand why things cant just be done correctly the first time! Buy a Pulte home only if you like to deal with crappy customer service and slow repairs forever because I'm sure they will drag it out until things are no longer under warranty and then it will be my responsibility to fix their bad construction and other mistakes. We have heard nothing but excuses as to why things weren't done and why they cant be done, never again will I own a home built by Pulte or any of their sub groups. ... More

From the initial sales to closing, our experience with Pulte was pleasant. They kept us informed during the entire building process. We would highly recommend using Pulte if you are looking to build a home.
