We purchased a new Pulte home this year. I have purchased 4 other new homes previously by other builders. Tho Pulte builds a nice home, we’ve had more issues than expected. Things that should have been identified prior to posting it for availability. Plumbing issues with 3 sewer backups in the first 2 weeks. Drain lines apparently has construction debris in them. A leak between the wall that required a lot of work and remediation to fix. I’ve noticed other issues that will be addressed to Pulte once we’ve confirmed the most urgent ones are fixed. My gave my overall buying experience a 2 star it might have been lower based on the actual house but my loan processor Ray did a good job and others I spoke with in the office including management and title were very helpful . Our builder did communicate well up until we had issues that we still need to be fixed on the final walk through. We went through and made a list and very little got done and is still left unfinished. The process and treatment from personal is awesome. Great example of Pulte pride and practice. A few finishing problems have notched my rating down a bit but otherwise Pulte’s reputation is still great with me.

Overpriced, poor workmanship and too much time to fix issues

The houses are overpriced for the quality of materials and workmanship. Every place in the house shows that the construction was rushed. Multiple things damaged which are getting fixed but it just generates a sense of frustration on why these were not addressed before closing - why not get things right in the first place. Issues pointed out by inspectors are often ignored. There is a blatant disregard for the house owners work schedule where some of the third party vendors show up at random times or just keep pushing schedules at will. Very bad responsiveness after closing

Craftsmanship is acceptable. The tiles look good. The doors and the cabinets are rough. Misalignment and loosen handles are common. The construction manager is awful after closing. He committed to touch up some of the issues while it was extremely difficult to reach out to him. The issues of water pressure, faucets, and a drawer rail are remained to be unsolved.

We like how they draw the room and space but their own loan company no good. The member working so lazy and in professional. Don’t really helping and blaming. We had recorded everything they said while they working. When we closing, construction manager promised to fix stuff, but they take so long and the end they didn’t finished. So make sure you don’t closed until they fix all stuff first l. We didn’t get all fixed even we moved in more than 2 months already. They hiring careless people to build the home. They need to fix a lot small stuff.

There have been a few issues with Pulte. The first day we moved in the AC was not working; the water heater was not working correctly for the whole month of June and almost halfway through July. The plumber came out anywhere from 5-7 times and finally got it fixed. The master bath faucet, when running the water the water splatter out. The oven was not preheating like it should. Pulte sent someone out and they informed us that the oven was good but that the electrical wiring was not hooked up correctly. So then an electrician was sent and they fixed the problem. Sales personnel were great, we worked with Chris an had a good experience overall. The build of the actual house really showcased the lack of tradesman quality, a lot of poor quality materials are being used. Rushing out on these homes is causing a lot of simple things to be missed. Construction manager Matt was very helpful and responsive. Warranty department so far has been great.

Honestly I wouldn’t buy another house in the future from pulte homes . Houses have nice lay out and nice space inside But materials look cheap and takes for ever to get something fix after closing. my yard was done poorly and now it’s my problem no warranty paid extra for landscaping not worth it

Disappointed with Pulte

I think the main problem is that the Construction Supervisor is new to this type of house, so the subcontractors took advantage and did subpar work! Overall it is a good build, it’s just that all the little things have added up. It started with the HAVAC system wired wrong it took two appointments to correct. Gutter system installation was and remains incomplete. Promised a “Smart” home with Google nest thermostats instead Pulte installed old Honeywell T6 thermostats. Most requests for warranty service have been submitted twice.

As a long distance buyer, I was a difficult customer. However my construction manager was the absolute best. He was timely, enthusiastic and eager to help in anyway I asked. My sales rep was a little too millennial for my old fashioned tastes, but fine. I used a wonderful real estate agent, Charlin, who provided above and beyond service as my eyes and ears throughout the building process. The home itself is 85% wonderful. I love Cody my construction manager and Frank, they are honest and true hearts who cares about the Pulte home issues when they came up. I will not recommend Aaron. I love my Pulte agent Ana also, she is a force to be recognized. She bends over backwards to make sure you get into your home. I do love my Pulte home when you have the right people.
