For such a large builder, one would expect lot more choices. For example, there were about 5 choices for faucets. If you choose anything other than what it comes with the base plan, you will pay 3-4 times the market price. On the good side, the Pulte people I worked with - sales and construction - are good people and trying their best, in spite of the corporate restrictions.

They are eager to sell you a house, construction times vary a lot and when things need to be fixed it turns into the speed of molasses running down hill. The lots usually end up looking a great deal different than the plot map they give the owners!

Cleanliness throughout Check air filter to furnace windows. Check every installation fixtures. Check every light and every switch in every room. Make sure all appliances work , all doors and draws operate as they should. We have had several issues from plumbing to electrical to minor structure though the response is good it doesn't ease the trust of the quality to value of the home. We love our new home we just don't like all the inconviences we experienced so far in our first two months.

Every time we discovered a mis-communication or error during the construction phase, we were told there was nothing that could be done, or to hire an independent contractor after the house was completed. Not one accomodation that we requested was made (for example: a 2nd sink in the kids' bathroom or a washer/dryer hook up in the garage). When it was discovered that there was an error in the back yard layout and we had no way to get a wheel barrow through, the foreman promised us a 2nd gate to remedy the issue. From our construction manager revealing pertinent details regarding a defect AFTER handing over the keys to the trades destroying our yard and using our utilities after we moved in, I cannot say that this has been a positive experience. My townhome is beautiful! However, there are many issues with the construction and carpentry. I have had an issue with my front walkway flooding, which has not been resolved. After over 6 weeks, there has not been mail delivered. Townhouse is not as sound proof as I was informed.

My home before closing, we went through inspection. Still, there were minor things to be fixed. We asked them to finish and postpone thr closing date, but they didn't allow it. Okay fine, but still some of them remain unfixed.

Our closing was delayed majorly, and we were not even given a closing date until two days before closing. After closing, we are not getting any prompt responses for the issues we're facing. It has been two weeks since I raised an issue with warranty team without any helpful update until now. I'm not sure it pulte was good earlier, but I can't imagine other builders being worse than this.

Very confusing process

Different departments had different versions of what is included and what are upgrades. Very confusing buying process especially for new buyers. Found very basic issues (like creaking bathroom floors, kitchen hardwood floors, loose lighting fixtures , electrical wiring issues - dryer wouldnt turn on due to faulty and dangerous wiring mistake) - these should have been taken care of during the quality reviews / inspections.

We first looked at Pulte homes in early June with a wonderful individual, she had a great personality, was open, honest and a pleasure to work with. Almost immediately after signing our contract, she was moved to a different location and a new representative was going to take over. All seemed fine until the emails responses were delayed, the responses were not detailed and the ask of a simple question seemed like too much work. Overall not satisfactory experience due to followings surprises: 1. Congested townhomes. 2. Not enough guest parkings available. 3. Garage driveway is the smallest one can imagine, you cannot even park a single car on it. 4. Roads are not wider enough to do parallel parking. 5. You can hear music sound from neighbor house. 6. Many houses doesn't have the garbage pickup from the front / back side of the house.

I base this review only off of our personal experience. We have talked to other people who had a positive experience with their homes. We however have not. Things that we have experienced: Construction delays (installed the wrong color of cabinets, smoke detectors did not work properly and were not identified until the day of closing), poor build quality for what we paid for the house, problems that were identified well ahead of closing that were not fixed and still haven't been fixed after two months of living in our home. Buying experience was great! Pulte does a great job of that initial days leading up to buying. The workmanship and home quality on the other hand was quite poor. From a large number of polish and quality issues to installation errors, it's been a journey from one problem to the other. From the beginning no one seemed to know what they are doing or how to answer questions. Right before our closing date 10 months in they would several water leaks all over the house and mold so they had to ripe out the walls and treat for mold several times. It was terrible and we are still going through it. We were forced to close before the house was completed. We’ve been living here for over 1 month and things are still not done. It is a nightmare that we can’t wake up from. We still cannot access the Pulte Home site. There’s no technology support. It’s ridiculous for a publicly traded company. It’s shameful.

Entire Glenmore community division was mis managed. Too many open builds, too many management changes. Poor oversight and quality control of trades and the work performed. Good ole boys club on how the builds get completed. Pulte often believes homeowner has no experience with what they are referring too in comments, issues, mfg., quality or trade work. We were promised that the house will be ready on the 19th Dec. I took all week vacation. At 1pm i got a call that i wont get the keys that day. 2 hrs before i was supposed to move in. During the inspection we found so many defects and the house wasnt even ready. We are still having issues with so many stuff. Loud noise when the furnace stops running. We asked John (Manager) and his respond was, it is normal. Jason (QA Manager) is very helpful and trying to find the problem. There workmanship is very poor.
