Our original sales person, Jeff, was not transparent by failing to disclose important information regarding homeowner's insurance. He is no longer with Richmond American, and since then, Brigitte has been spot on. We also had an issue with our Assistant Superintendent, Kevin, who did not complete items prior to closing that he had agreed would be finished. He even removed the blue tape from places that hadn't been touched! The actual Superintendent, Rex, has been incredible, trying to resolve the issues that Kevin didn't rectify. The builders will address things well and are fairly responsive. The sales team is not responsive and will not do much to keep promises.

Sales lady Lori provided good information about the residence and options of the house. However, when providing information about lenders, the information was not correct The lenders, the home owners insurance, the sales department were not in sync when providing me the right information I would get an answer from one department then a different one from the other department, and so on. I would not do it again!

It was not a pleasant experience as the home we wanted was told it was sold while in actuality it was not. The home we purchased has issues that are not being resolved. Poor quality of paint resulting in painting with superior paint prior to moving in. Garages are all too small to accommodate larger pickups. And the real clincher was looking in the attic above garage are ceiling joists with incorrect bevel cuts still used offering little ceiling support. Obviously inspectors don’t do their job.

This is my second home. The sales Departmrnt was not honest, and The lending process was the worst experience. . Richmond lenders was not helpful, constantly being condescending and making you feel like you should just give up. Questioning income, questioning why I didn't know certain things. An overall stressful experience that I hope no one else has to endure.

To who it may concern. We were never offered coach lighting now we see homes with them, we ask for some outlets to moves up for easier TV viewing (Pre Dry-wall) and could not get a response on the additional moving of the outlets. We would've paid for the modification if we needed too. Lots of builder grade materials and now the homes are lower in price with more upgrades. Just not a very professional experience at all for the wife and I!!

Buying experience was interesting to say the least. Very intrusive with the Mortgage process… However, what was more shocking was the builder and the Superintendent’s attention to detail and lack of follow up on my needs. I was not made to feel like I was number 1 so why would I make you feel like you are number 1? Poor service and lack of communication. This is who you have representing your homes? Wow. All concerns could have been easily remedied with proper follow up and proper communication. Never received a 30 day walk. Still trying to reach them…

I came into the sales office, but my Real Estate Agent had a family emergency, and I went by myself as I didn't want to reschedule. I provided the Richmond American Rep with all his information. When we confirmed that I qualified for the Trade Discount we had to remove my agent (who fortunately was ok with it) from the contract. Despite signing all the Richmond American Finance paperwork identifying this home as a primary residence they would only approve me as an investment. Poor Fnishing..Lacks Attention To Details..Worst Builder and Warrant Service Ever

Worst builder I have ever seen. Door trims are not even, patched poorly, and missing caulks. Fixtures installed in wrong position and loose. it has been more than 90 days since the 30 day warrant walkthrough and only one repair have been made. Paid north of 500K for the home and it doesn't worth it in my opinion.

There was a delay in getting into our home. Two weeks to finish up. They should have taken another two weeks. At final walk through - punch list items would be taken care of asap. We waited over 4 weeks for even the first things to be addressed. We love the area and we think structurally the house is built well but the quality of the finishing (paint, doors, grout, etc.) has been really disappointing. The initial 4 weeks of hardly any communication was frustrating.

The home buying experience with Richmond was not a walk-in-the park. We experienced a lot of miscommunications or lack of communication starting from their office agent, to their preferred lenders, to walk throughs, escrow and immediately after move-in. We constantly have to call, text or email and it takes days to receive an answer or a resolution to our concerns.

Low quality builds for premium price

Baseboards aren’t straight, tile squares don’t line up, inside is horribly painted( paid 4k extra for that), granite countertops have paint all over them. Brand new carpets stained from workers. Cabinets are falling apart( again paid 6k extra for those) no hot water presssure in the shower. I could go on for days with the things wrong with this house. After paying almost a half a million dollars I expected my house to be in new condition. Would never recommend anybody to buy from Richmond American

First time buying a house and it's been quite the experience. Not all the things were done that were supposed to be prior to settlement. Never got everything I was promised in the deal. I feel like after everything was signed I became chop liver. I regret buying this house.

To know what I know now I would have made a different choice in purchasing a new home. My experience has been bad from the start. We originally wanted to design our own house but the lot we wanted “wasn’t available yet” so we decided on a pre approved plan.
