Sales rep was very very nice, but I would have preferred a better explanation of the impact of what I was signing. Especially re mello-roos, how electric company works(doesnt work) w solar company, and better response to street name error that 3 months later (and involving the city and site construction supervisor myself) is still not corrected. Financing contact made many errors requiring redo of paperwork, down to the last hour of signing closing docs. The warranty guy Mike has been the most helpful out of everybody.

Our experience after closing was extremely disappointing. We did not receive the builder-provided appliances until 11 days after our closing date, and the final appliance did not arrive until 27 days after closing. As a result, we had to spend additional money eating out because we couldn’t properly use our kitchen, and we also had to pay to do our laundry away from our new home. What makes this even more frustrating is that the company makes it very clear that buyers are responsible for paying $318 for every day a closing is delayed. However, when the delay is caused by the company and it prevents homeowners from fully using their new home, they refuse to reimburse the reasonable out-of-pocket expenses their delay created. We expected much better customer service and accountability. If the company expects customers to bear the financial consequences of delays, it should also accept responsibility when its own delays cause customers to incur additional expenses. I love my houses

We had a contingency purchase. It was amazing how smooth the process went on the Richmond American side of things. It wasn't the same for our old home. They had a lot of setbacks but finally closed. It definitely made me appreciate my Richmond American team. Holly, Rebecca and Margaret. They were outstanding!!!

There were a few construction quality issues, but Michael and Randall took care of them in such an expert and expedited manner that it overshadowed the issues, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence

The gas was red tag by the gas company for a gas leak. Richmond remived the tag. Without repairing the leak. Very unsafe . Extreme hzard to my family safety. Extreme hazard for an explosion, And it took Richmond over a week to repair the problem. It was very hazardous. Plus I endured expenses having to eat out for over a week. Richmond was very careless, unprofessional for putting a family on a extremely unsafe situation

This has been quite the journey. I tried buying a house with Richmond for nearly ten months. Once I got the approval, they rushed through the process. I was railroaded on almost every front while trying to acquire an independent inspection. My experience with McKenna hasn't been ideal either. When we did my walk through, she tried to make some of the issues I noticed small. She also didn't write down all of the issues I mentioned, so she thought I believed her when she said she had mentioned it to the builder and the builder said it wasn't an issue. There were clear issues. What I didn't share with McKenna is I am not newbie. I have purchased a home before. That home had far fewer issues than this one. Buying a home can be stressful, but Carrie made it feel simple and manageable. She explained everything clearly, kept me updated, and was patient with all my questions. I really appreciated how smooth the process was and how supported I felt the whole time.

Workmanship has been a major problem. Still dealing with warranty issues. Unable to get anyone out to come fix it. Items in house that no one can give an answer as to what they are or why they are there. Can’t get in touch with anyone to schedule repairs. Electrical and hvac both with big issues. Cannot get answer as to who installed certain systems so I can get more info from company since richmond American had no clue who did it.

The sales rep was very open and honest. She let us know all the incentives. The loan officer was super helpful in addressing our financial needs. The loan processor was responsive and knowledgeable. The home service specialist was responsive and thorough. The overall homebuying experience with Richmond American Homes was excellent. It took only 17 days from the time I toured the house until closing escrow!

The sales and build team were amazing here in Jurupa Valley! Lawrence was attentive and consistent with communications from the very first meeting and walkthrough. Gus did a great job with my walkthroughs and explained everything with my new house. Gustavo has been a lifesaver from the day I got my keys to now, answering questions about the home and advice about maintenance. Gustavo even brought over a plant to place in our front yard. I'm so glad to be calling this my new home.

Richmond gave us the opportunity to finally become homeowners in our late 40s. The process was seamless and from start to finish, between sales to loan officer to underwriters, to everything in between, we couldn’t have had a better experience.

Great experience very easy process

I genuinely loved the overall end-to-end experience. The model home I purchased is beautiful, the interest rate offered was competitive, and the after-purchase care has been outstanding. David and Gabriel, in particular, went above and beyond in addressing a few issues we noted after moving in—they were incredibly responsive and supportive, which made a huge difference. I’ve been enthusiastically recommending this builder and community to my friends and family because I truly enjoy sharing the positive parts of my journey here. That said, I do want to be honest about one frustrating aspect: the sales department—especially Joey—made the initial process more stressful than it needed to be. We encountered several unexpected surprises during the purchase phase, and the communication style felt dismissive and at times unprofessional. It left a sour taste in our mouths and made us question whether we had made the right decision. Thankfully, every other part of the experience has more than made up for that rocky start.
