There are lot of issues haven’t been resolved! I found many many sharp nails under the curtain.My kids were poked by them when stepped on the stair. The screen fell off from the window frame. The door got twisted shape. It’s a horrible house!

we love the city, the community, and the housing styles and brevarde. love our location but the home, the finishing, was rushed too much.. so many things are defective or not done correctly. a few major items also. some are very very negligent that should never have occured unless the team wasn't caring or paying attention. very unprofessional in the finishing items both inside and out. very difficult process to get corrected

Fools plans a well thought out maximizing square footage. But builder will delayed fixing build problems and extremely poor response to fixing issue.

Not what I expected

The sales and escrow team were great, but the construction team not so much. I closed escrow a little over a month ago and have yet to get a response or warranty issue taken care of. The quality of work on the kitchen cabinets, the garage walls, and paint throughout the house is very poor. I’m still waiting on someone to acknowledge or resolve the concerns.

Horrible Experience

While everyone was “nice”, we had an overall horrible experience. From 3 different superintendents to a scam of an experience with Home American mortgage to endless lies and deception to over a month delay to then move in with electrical not working, 20 roof tiles broken, horrible craftsmanship to then no one caring and it taking weeks upon weeks to get responses until we went to corporate to now 2 months after we closed and still an outstanding list of 30+ issues with no resolution. Would avoid Richmond at all costs.

This was the worst experience in regard to communication period. Our agent Mayra shared no concern with my and my wife's concerns to the home purchase. She seemed simply satisfied to getting the signatures required and the deposits then after that she simply disappeared! She made numerous blunders. Not mistakes but huge blunders and wouldn't answer her phone or return messages as needed. Rushed to close the home not completed

Purchased and contract was to close in 2 months on a specific date when the home was to be completed. 1 week after contracting the insurance provider is the one that told me the builder is closing 2 weeks earlier. Nice floor plans and lots, poor agent communication, some poor craftsmanship, very poor work order follow up

The floor plans and lots are nice. The sales agents seldom gave updates, and was very hands off and everything was “out of their control”. There were frequent delays, communicated last minute, with vague reasons give. The day before closing, we were told it was delayed, yet again. The day before closing! Several rollover items from the final walk are still incomplete. Several new work orders after move in are still incomplete, going on over a month.

Lacking in communication

Our experience with Richmond American Homes was one of chaos and confusion. The sales team lack the ability to communicate. Three times the closing dates were moved, but the sales team would not inform us until the before and in once instance we were not informed until the day we were supposed to close and get our keys. Inspection had many minor issues.

I bought the home December of last year. Inspection had minor issues. Afterward, the second walkthrough also had not fixed issues. They asked me to waived inspection because it was a new house. Maybe I should not have agreed. In addition, even though I paid 20%, they didn't go over that I could opt out of paying taxes every month. I also submitted a request to fix more minor issues. It was hard to get the issues resolved.

Beautiful House but Sales Team is not honest

progress on the house was pushed back 2 times and then when it came to the end of the month they pushed us in due to rate locks even though the house was not finished to our liking. Bad exoerience

Our walk thru was rushed. After clising someone came and changed our outside circuit breaker. Asked the supervisor and we were told they were just installed to pass the city code. I would like all prospective buyers to know that our home was deemed certified and ready for habitation 5 weeks AFTER the planned losing date. During our walk through 35 items were still listed as substandard and in need of repair. After moving in, we needed to move to a hotel for 8 nights while the builder removed construction materials from the sewer line that they were notified were blocking the sewer line 7 weeks PRIOR to their certification. When we did our walk through, we were told all repairs would be done on a timely manner, which has not been the case. We are going on our third month and we still have several issues, that have not been addressed. I was told by our Sales Rep and Builder to create tickets in the ticketing portal, but this has done nothing to escalate our reported issues. We have talked to our Neighbors and they are also experiencing the same issues with the Builder and Repairs. This is unacceptable in my opinion when purchasing a new home.
