Finish painting not complete. Areas where a second cot of paint were needed didn't get taken care of after the walk through. other items such as doors not latching closed and sliding door adjustments ere needed and not taken care of after the initial walkthrough where they were identified. Now I have to file a warranty claim and that is inconvenient and time consuming. The office staff were great and tried to be helpful.

I came across Richmond by luck, on the MSL website. I had an awesome realtor couple Aurora/Hector. After seeing multiple homes and meeting sales people I went with Richmond. I will say that my sales Rep Lawrence since day one I met him was very pleasant. I say that because I am a first time buyer and I do not always match what I show on paper, if you know you know what I mean. Lawrence was the most informative, respectful, transparent, funny, knowledgeable sales rep I ran across. He let me ask all “non dumb” questions that every sales people were seemed annoyed to answer. Richmond in house lender also made it very simple and efficient until the end but after all was done I understand why so. All I have to say and recommend to anyone specially first time buyers, make sure all your documents are written in English. In regard to that portion I want to say Shawna was great at answering all my loan questions and concerns. The escrow people were not as fun nonetheless they made a speedy and efficient transaction. After living here for two months I am in love with the community and the continued support from everyone involved with Richmond. I can not wait to elevate the “basic” elements of this build. That the builder gave a good warranty on their products.

Working with Suzanne was an absolute pleasure. As a first-time homebuyer, I appreciated her advocacy and the knowledge she shared throughout the process. Her expertise and dedication made buying a home manageable and enjoyable! However, I’ve faced some challenges with home care and communication with the superintendent and others. While these issues have been frustrating, I am hopeful they will be resolved soon. Nice guy, but probably busy, but I only care about the end result ultimately. The paint and baseboards are abysmal. Not a huge fan of the gaslighting by one of their other reps during the walkthrough. Again this is a home care thing, and I’ll just deal with my warranty. No biggie. I wish I could give a 5 star across the board but I can not. The quality of workmanship was not as expected. This is my 3rd new home purchase and I was disappointed for the amount of money invested the issues I have seen with the house like the upgraded cabinets poorly installed. The doors poorly finished. The house windows and parts of the flooring with paint spots and not cleaned when keys were delivered. Communicated gutters on the front door were included prior to purchase and now being told it was an error and not complying to what I was told. I'm very happy with the house. Good quality. However, I had a problem with the solar purchase. I was a cash buyer so closing escrow is fast if the house was ready. I was told that I couldn't purchase solar because I had less than 60 days to closing of escrow. I was forced to lease the solar. I've bought 12 brand new homes already and no other builder had this clause. I bought a house and closed escrow in 10 days and was still able to purchase solar. This is a ridiculous clause to have to force a buyer to lease solar when it's possible to purchase. Thus my experience with the agent was not a pleasant one. I gave the experience a 4 star only because of Anthony, your customer service rep. He's awesome and always responded to my needs. He was the only one that made this experience end on a high note for me. I work in the customer service industry so I know great service when I see it. Anthony is a keeper!!!!! ... More

There were a few construction quality issues, but Michael and Randall took care of them in such an expert and expedited manner that it overshadowed the issues, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence

Have to say the homes are far nicer then any other developer ive seen. I've been looking for a new home that checks off many if not all the boxes for me. Richmond American was the only one even close.

Been a decent experience, Leah hall our rep has been great so has our site guy Gustavo.

We did have in general a good experience, the buying process was quick, customer service was very good, building materials, and home finishing are good, it stands out from competitors, I would say fairly you buy a better home construction location and amenities, than those offered by other companies.

Great baying experience specially the real estate agent and the sales.

Suzanne was amazing!!! She was very helpful and knew all the information required. We used to come every other weekend to see the process since we were excited about the new house. I remember there was a weekend in which we couldn't come and she kindly sent us pictures (she noticed we didn't go on that weekend). The buying process was a little bumpy. We decided to used their lender and go through their people since I was told they all communicate with each other. At times I was overwhelmed because they kept asking me for things I had already submitted and it seemed they didn't communicate with each other at all. Overall I had a good experience buying my first home. My sales rep was amazing. She reassured me the entire time, didn’t pressure me, and overall made me feel like I could do it. Buying your first home can be so nerve wracking but she was such a calming presence and made it a lot smoother. The loan officer I worked with was awesome too. She was very responsive and laid everything out clearly. I had a great experience with the title company as well. Very responsive, answered all my questions and signing went very smoothly. Where the issues started happening was with the loan processor (or back end person) and the insurance officer. They didn’t respond to my questions in a timely manner and left me in the dark around timing which was very frustrating. The insurance broker did not include all of the discounts in my quote and I ended up having to pay more upfront. Even though I told him over 3 times to review the documents, which he did not in time for closing. For someone who’s going through the process for the first time, I would expect clear answers and timing. Luckily everyone else made up for it. ... More

I’m happy with the new home, but we have been addressing a bunch of minor issues.

The overall home buying experience was great with the exception of completion of the final walkthrough punch list. We live up north and Candice our Sales Agent kept us appraised of progress and sent pictures throughout the process. She was extremely helpful in coordinating things for us being our "boots on the ground". I was disappointed having to come back down to the house after the final walkthrough only to find several items not completed. As of this writing, we still have a few things not completed and haven't even been scheduled yet. I'm hopeful when we move in, we'll be able to get these items completed quickly. ... More

If you don’t do any upgrades the quality of material used is very cheap. A lot of simple mistakes are made. Seems like they rush through the process of building these houses. In our experience we had a leak, excess foundation, solar panel box put on wrong, flooring was scratched, carpet was lumpy and you could see the seems, breakers tripping and paint that needed to be redone. They give you a matte finish which scratches and stains very easily. Overall I am happy with my home, just wish everything was done right from the start. It’s a hassle trying to get all these issues fixed while moving in and getting acclimated to your new home. ... More

This was my FIRST home buying experience and it went fairly easily. The sales team was exceptional, the loan team was okay, the building team was also fine. The loan team had some gaps in communication throughout the process due to their volume of applicants. The construction team also felt pressed for time and breezed through the inspection but they completed most of the adjustments.

Low quality material repair work are to hard to get done bathrooms are ridiculously small very very unsatisfied.

The gas was red tag by the gas company for a gas leak. Richmond remived the tag. Without repairing the leak. Very unsafe . Extreme hzard to my family safety. Extreme hazard for an explosion, And it took Richmond over a week to repair the problem. It was very hazardous. Plus I endured expenses having to eat out for over a week. Richmond was very careless, unprofessional for putting a family on a extremely unsafe situation

Your sales person was your typical sales person, very nice and friendly in the beginning till I signed on the dotted line. To this date, it does not give me updates on issues happening with services. An example is your shoulder company went bankrupt, she never bothered to contact me to let me know and has been dismissive whenever I have called with questions or issues. Your loan officer pretty much the same as your sales person was not responsive to questions. The manager had to get involved and I was not impressed with the speediness, the loan rate, and communication. Your homeowners insurance guy, same as the previous two. Once he was unable to obtain homeowners insurance for the property, he pretty much just washed his hands and gave me a referral to another company who might be able to help me. I have not been happy or impressed with Richmond American homes. I would never recommend you as a builder to any family or friends. ... More

I love my new home and very happy with the lay out and neighborhood.

Not impressed with customer service and constantly having to remind people on how to do their jobs. Horrible at returning texts and phone calls. Disappointed because I thought Richmond was a good and reliable company.

Multiple issues with the house. Still waiting on builder to fix it.

Sara Jensen did an excellent job from start to finish. But after receiving the keys we ran into some issues and the wait time to resolve them was unfortunate. We still have them and hopefully soon can get them resolved. Other than that we love the area and overall style. Plus the overall feel and look to the home is great. Thanks again Sara for making the experience memorable.
