Ongoing major problems with plumbing, construction and final finish. Sales was not a good experience.

Multiple issues with the house. Still waiting on builder to fix it.

Suzanne was amazing!!! She was very helpful and knew all the information required. We used to come every other weekend to see the process since we were excited about the new house. I remember there was a weekend in which we couldn't come and she kindly sent us pictures (she noticed we didn't go on that weekend). The buying process was a little bumpy. We decided to used their lender and go through their people since I was told they all communicate with each other. At times I was overwhelmed because they kept asking me for things I had already submitted and it seemed they didn't communicate with each other at all. Once you see your dream home you can’t say no! I found a home and neighborhood that I can enjoy now and retire in. My Richmond American Home was in a thoughtfully planned new community, was a tremendously beautifully designed home made of quality energy-efficient products and building material, and included an overall great end-to-end sales, purchase, loan, and warranty experience. Top notch experience with Sales team, Colleen and Sarah, and Warranty team, Chad. Richmond American Homes are building dream homes that Americans can be proud of. Thank you!

I wish the builder would pay more attention to the details and quality of work. I had unfinished doors and cabinets. The bathroom countertop was scratched quite badly. The rain gutter was missing, I had to point it out and then and it took 4 weeks to get them to install it. After four weeks, I'm still waiting for repairs to be made, such as replacing a damaged door weather strip.

I love the beautiful house that was built. The workers made sure to build the house with great care. However, there are portions of the house that are different than what was discussed with me by the sales representative. In fact, there are quite a few surprises that have come up that were not communicated to me by the sales department. Three weeks before closing I was blindsided by what I was told was a "decision the builder made". I've tried calling to get clarity several times but I was told the Sales Manager and the original sales representative, Rena, would return my calls so they can answer my questions. To this day I have not heard from either of them and that was over 2 months ago. Even if they couldn't change the situation, I would've expected, at the very least, that they would be professional enough to return my calls. They made a very exciting life-changing situation into a sad disappointing one. It's a beautiful house but I can't help but think Richmond American Homes sales representatives will say anything to get the sale. They purposely omitted key items of the house and community requirements to get the sale but then they hide when the buyer is seeking clarity (bait and switch). If you are buying a house stay away from Richmond American Homes because they do not uphold honest business practices for individuals looking to commit to a large purchase such as a home. ... More

They need to communicate better and figure out how take care of issues on rollover items from the walkthrough inspections.

Horrible service. They don’t help they never reply just really really bad

I don't even know were to start with this....the agent you guys have was one of the worst agents I have encountered, the day I was going to check the home, Myra knew we were coming driving 1hr plus and she did not even have the correct keys, When we arrived there, she just said that she did not have the right keys. So we went for nothing after that. She said the closing was one month from when we submitted the purchase contract and it took mostly 3 months also, she sent all the documents to escrow 2 weeks after we signed all the paperwork. For the final walk through. I am an elderly and I had to go to a Doctor's appointment and she did not care about rescheduling the first walk through so we only have one. Moving on to the next thing, Mike for the Home Warranty, he was and has been excellent in his job. Not so much for Gary. We have not gotten any information from him about the repairs that are still due. We have moved in almost a month ago and nothing from him not even a text or a call. Mike also tried to do a three-way text message and he did not even reply to that once again, Mike from Richmond American has been excellent Gary.....not so much. I have never felt such a disappointment when I am buying a home. I have been buying homes for a long time now and this by far has been the worst experience. ... More

I'm very happy with the house. Good quality. However, I had a problem with the solar purchase. I was a cash buyer so closing escrow is fast if the house was ready. I was told that I couldn't purchase solar because I had less than 60 days to closing of escrow. I was forced to lease the solar. I've bought 12 brand new homes already and no other builder had this clause. I bought a house and closed escrow in 10 days and was still able to purchase solar. This is a ridiculous clause to have to force a buyer to lease solar when it's possible to purchase. Thus my experience with the agent was not a pleasant one. I gave the experience a 4 star only because of Anthony, your customer service rep. He's awesome and always responded to my needs. He was the only one that made this experience end on a high note for me. I work in the customer service industry so I know great service when I see it. Anthony is a keeper!!!!! ... More

Sara Jensen did an excellent job from start to finish. But after receiving the keys we ran into some issues and the wait time to resolve them was unfortunate. We still have them and hopefully soon can get them resolved. Other than that we love the area and overall style. Plus the overall feel and look to the home is great. Thanks again Sara for making the experience memorable.

The process was fairly smooth. My realtor rep helped me through the process and answered all the questions that I had. It was real quick and organized. I like how they have the home buying structure so that you can keep up with all the paperwork that you have to sign and send.

The buying process was easy and fast with awesome builder incentives. The house is amazing.

Overall my experience was great. I’m very pleased with my home the area the work that was put in. Keep up the great work I would definitely in the near future purchase another home with them.!!!

We had an awesome experience buying our first new build. It was a marathon but Ms H made it as painless as possible, she's was easy to reach and always open to our questions. Sales and Sup we're really helpful. Can definitely recommend!!

This was the worst experience in regard to communication period. Our agent Mayra shared no concern with my and my wife's concerns to the home purchase. She seemed simply satisfied to getting the signatures required and the deposits then after that she simply disappeared! She made numerous blunders. Not mistakes but huge blunders and wouldn't answer her phone or return messages as needed. When we finally got to move into the house, we had to wait 30 days to receive the builders' incentives appliances. Washer, Dryer and Refrigerator!!! The house is pretty awesome but here we are waiting for the construction issues to be corrected! It seems as though there is no communication among the Richmond employees. No one seems to know who is responsible for what. I'm hoping that soon all construction items will be completed because we have warranty issues cropping up that I am holding on to so as to not confuse these workers. Fools plans a well thought out maximizing square footage. But builder will delayed fixing build problems and extremely poor response to fixing issue.

Home plans at Seasons at Green Valley Ranch by Richmond American Homes to be unique and spacious. The community appears to be well-maintained and welcoming, and I would confidently recommend it to our friends for a visit to the sales office and model home. However, there are areas where I believe the builder could make improvements: 1. The Home American Mortgage department could benefit from enhanced communication practices. 2. It would be helpful for the sales office to provide clearer information about layout differences between model homes and actual homes. 3. I recommend that the Construction/Closing department ensures all items are completed before closing. I experienced delays and had to follow up multiple times, even after the home orientation and closing had occurred. ... More

My overall experience with Richmond American Homes was a very disappointing process. I've had various issues with repairs and currently still need some touch up work done after being moved into my home for over a month. I was constantly told to input claims and after doing so multiple times on the same issues I would never get a response. I've had to be the one to make phone calls and get numbers to higher ups to make sure things would get done. I felt like I was doing the jobs of others and it was ultimately a huge inconvenience. I also had zero communication with my sales agent. When I originally signed on the home I was given a promotion that all my appliances would be given to me and upon moving in I was told my appliances were never processed by my sales agent. When I would ask questions about the details of my home she would put it on the job of someone else and could never provide me with answers to basic questions. Although I love the overall look and style of my home, the lack of communication and response to issues have caused more frustration than than joy and I feel overall displeased with the whole process. Because of these issues, I would not recommend a Richmond Home to future buyers. ... More

Our house is quality built I do wish some changes could be made especially the closet arms if could be made of wood not the brackets there using but other than that everything was handled quick In response the team was effective financing was a breeze and guided I highly recommend also high ceilings
