The best experience I had with Richmond is the sales rep. Inna was very detail and responsive and she was absolutely great to work with! She went the extra mile to help me! It was a great experience!

I am please with the model I purchased. It is beautiful and spacious. My only problem is that construction discrepancies and defects really have not been corrected promptly. Had there been a bit more attention to detail and quicker response I would have awarded a higher score.

First time buying new build was easier than we thought. Sales associate gave a tour to all model homes. Asked what our ideal bedroom was, 1 or 2 story house, ect. Fell in love with a corner lot with big backyard. Walk through and were thorough and questions were answered. Didn’t have any issues with move in date, no delays. Overall would buy another house from builder if I could.

our closing experience is not very good, delivered the home with lot of nails in the backyard. with in a week, many door nob handles came out. lot of cracks in the exterior. while delivering these cracks are covered instead of fixing. I am disappointed

Everyone we worked with in Richmond American was very responsive and professional. They made our home purchase really easy.

From start to finish the builder deserves 4 stars. I used their lender for the special rate on the table and they were fantastic, title company amazing, and most people friendly. Sales made some misleading or unknowledgeable wrong answers and there have been a few hiccups with warranty. That said, overall I’m incredibly happy with the home and time will tell on the long term quality. I was very disappointed the builder didn’t allow option selection but ultimately found my ideal lot and the color scheme I wanted. You do end up paying twice for paint or finishes you want after the fact since they don’t let you choose that either. The positive side of that is it was move in ready quickly, but I do wonder if that will bite me at some point. ... More

The workmanship on my home is very poor, I’ve already had a few issues and we have lived in the home 4 weeks. Thankfully the warranty side has been fairly responsive and quick with repairs.

The process to complete this purchase was difficult and often left me without a point of contact due to high volume of turnover. No one who started the process of buying the home was working for Richmond once the process concluded. The sales team turned over twice before the home was closed, causing a huge lapse in communication. After move in there are issues to resolve (of course). The issue was more turnover, unfinished work, a lack of follow up. Without having a realtor to assist with the process, I would have had a much more difficult time. Many new changes in the way homes are built. Your house construction is amazing. All corners are exact 90 degree. Very good attention to detail. House is very energy efficient. Happy we bought it.

Buying the home in Roseville was great,from the beginning Brandon was Amazingly informative, and made the Buying experience easy and pleasant. The loan team was great too, Chris was awesome to work with also made the loan streamline and was always in contact with me and answered all my questions. Right from the start of wanting the house, putting down the retaining fee and given the close date, everything went as expected and in a timely order. Happy with the team and would do it all over again.

After a change in construction Foreman’s I noticed a huge change in customer service. The new foreman Paul was extremely helpful with concerns or questions. He was also very good at communicating what could and could not be done for small discrepancies we notice during the building process. Paul made the rest of the experience much better. Unfortunately we felt the lender was not as responsive as we’d like. It seems there was little to no communication between the builder, lender and sales team. Our close date changed several times (which was expected). But however, when we asked for an updated close date, often times we got three different answers. Additionally, the lender would tell us to ask the sales team and the sales team would tell us to ask the lender. Lori & Jake were extremely helpful & answered all are questions when we had one . In addition, the time of the closing they were very patient with us & provided us alll the necessary paperwork that made us able to close the house. We appreciate their help & would love to work with them in the future.

But sloppy where you don’t look. Gutters full of roofing nails. Backyard full of nails. Metal Flashing under roof tires extends into the gutters. Time will tell durability. Nice people though. Pretty smooth purchase

Decided to buy a ready to move in house that wasn’t ready; Sales rep quit halfway into the buying process; The maker’s lender was extremely incompetent and did not communicate much of anything to me; had to resubmit multiple documents multiple times; lending agent stopped communicating the last few weeks before my expected close date; new lending agent was clueless about the process and had me resubmit documents that were already on file; everything was disorganized and hectic and the process was extremely frustrating…when we moved in, the home had numerous issues to deal with that took forever to get fixed; the home’s workmanship and quality was poor…I should’ve done more research on the builder and area; the same model home was sold for way less just a few weeks prior…buyer beware ... Not a good experience because I just told almost maximum closing cost 2% but actually cost was more than that, many issues when came never been solved

Very bad and take long time to fix .look like I beg for repair

Very disappointing to call for a warranty after we moved, lots things are not working as expected. Emergency calls are not properly addressed until we resolve it on our own. We have to call an electrician and paid out of pocket just to resolve the issues we moved 3 weeks ago and most of the issues we submitted are still pending. I never heard any reply from anybody.

We have been absolutely disappointed with this company. We have never had a construction company have not care or their product or it’s finished homes. The outside of the house has so many touch ups that needed to be done. There are so many nail holes that were not covered properly, ,as the inside do too! The cabinets were not finished at the corners, the fans are constantly on and off at all times of the day and night. The furnace makes a loud noise when it comes on and off. The ac unit does the same noise. We have beer asked to check the filters we did that doesn’t have anything to do with the noise. I’m so sad the company doesn’t care who there contractors are, because we love the layout of our house and the design. We wished the contractors had taken care of the details to make sure we were happy with our house. ... More

I would not purchase a home from Richmond American Homes again.

Builders did not disclose certain items to buyers, during and even after purchases. When discovered by buyers, builder were not responding to covered dispute/mediation. Not very trustful builder imho. Build quality is above average, except the painting workmanship, worst than regular DIYer. Builder should be more honest and more responsive to buyers' concerns/inquiries.

Amanda was amazing! She’s very communicative and supportive. She walked me through the entire process and gave me construction updates almost weekly. She went above and beyond and came went to meet me at their office before they even opened. Jimmy and Kyle were great! They explained explained everything during my walkthroughs. Great customer service. During my final walkthrough, Kyle said, “We want you to be happy with your purchase.” He stuck to his word and fixed most of the discrepancies I found during my final walkthrough.

Bad and cheap materials

Half day home gallery selections. Need to make many decisions involving thousands of dollars in upgrades the same day. Absolutely no changes were allowed after the selection was done. I had asked for extra insulation bw floor after selection which was not honoured. The agent was rude and blunt. The use the signed contract when asked for any changes to prove their inflexibility. The attitude of sales agents change based on demand for the community. Their lender was subpar and could not even close my jumbo loan. They are probly ok for conventional loan. This wasted my time and efforts. ... More
