Recently bought in the Lathrop area and everyone on the RA team was great! My sales rep, Esther, was extremely helpful and responsive which put my mind at ease since I bought from out of the area. Always kept me updated through the building process. You won’t be disappointed!

I still have a lot of pending issues that need to be fixed, it’s been almost a month now since I requested them. Some of the issues never get resolved like the crack wood that support the roof.

Caleb and Anthony are the rockstar in our home buying experience. They were professional, pleasant to work with and answers all our questions. They both gave us timely updates regarding our house and made sure we are satisfied. Chris from the lender however sent me a “formality” mortgage rate lock in form to sign which made me think I had a lower interest rate of 6.5%. My credit was checked before this form was sent and was within the 60 days I was allowed to lock in. Instead of locking me in, I was sent this form which made me think i was getting a lower interest rate. I was later told that my actual rate is 7.3%. ... More

Basically, it was a good experience. I am very pleased with my home.

We had a good experience with our sales rep Betty from when we first met her. This made us proceed with the purchase of our home. We were told from the start that it would take 6-8 months to build & complete our home to which we were okay with. We finally moved into our home & after a few days of unpacking, decorating our new home, & having to finally get familiarized with everything, we noticed many things to which it looked like the builder/contractors rushed on installing. We have submitted a few warranty tickets already (Paul has been fantastic) but it is upsetting & ridiculous. I understand a new build home is not and will not be 100% perfect but considering that I’m paying almost $600k for a new build home, I expect the house to have proper installation on certain things. I should be able to move in and not have to worry about submitting a warranty ticket for such and such & waste my time or the contractors time to come out & fix the issue when it could’ve been installed properly the first time. I had to fix some improper installation myself & this is unacceptable. It makes us wonder about the quality of the house and how long it will really last. We love our house, the layout of it, & the staff we had made contact with along the way but we had wish for a better move-in experience, especially with a new build home. ... More

THE PRE-SALE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD AND HIGH QUALITY. HOWEVER ONCE I SIGNED , THINGS FLIPPED AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SALES AGENT AND THE WARRANTY PERSON HAS BEEN SUPER ROUGH. I WILL LIKELY THINK TWICE BUYING WITH RICHMOND AMERICAN AGAIN.

We decided to buy from Richmond American because of the sales agent Jessica. She was great through out the whole process. The lender on the other hand gave us a bad experience. We didn’t feel valued at all and we had to proactively call to get things done ourselves to meet timelines. Calling lender was like pulling teeth and couldn’t get a response where we had to result to calling Jessica to hopefully get us a response. If I did not stay on top of the time lines I honestly think they would forget about us. Lender needs to do better.

Stock homes only with no flexibility to alter the smallest detail. Material used and appliances are mostly dated. Sales team is pretty considerate but have no say with design. Designers likely work with limited SKUs but designs and materials need to be refreshed to current trends

One of the biggest reason of me and lots of my friends and clients bought homes in Lathrop because of your sales person ESTHER AGGAZARIAN. One of the best sales person I have ever seen with any builder. She is so responsive and trustworthy, and always very prompt to reply to any of the questions we had. But on the other hand responsiveness to respond to warranty requests within 30 days of purchase is completely ignored by our service rep Paul Hooper. He was very good until the close of escrow but he took 360degree turn with his behavior and very BAD to communicate with. I can say he is one of the worst service rep I have ever seen. I would appreciate if you can look into my service request (which is more than 10) and take some action on it because I don't think Paul Hooper will do anything. ... More

I’m keeping this review short and sweet. DO NOT buy from Richmond American. They don’t build quality homes for the price, we’re extremely rude during the walk through process, and have been slow to fix the almost 20 plus issues with our home. Again to keep it short and sweet, DO NOT, but Richmond American homes.

Hi , thank you for building my dream house . However it would have been more cheerful if there was transparency in sales and mortgage team have handled professionally . My sales person ,All was good but I would have appreciated when I look at model houses would have told me what’s the basic model and upgrade model difference , how many lights I will be getting , am I getting 1 sink , extra cost for another sink approx . I came to know upgrades in gallery only . I have to buy solar panel and mortgage to have credits .i felt like there was no transparency. These little things was not transparent. My mortgage team Chris left my mortgage 4/5 weeks before closing date to let me know what’s interest rate I am getting . I was the person contacting Chris to give him ideas can I buy interest down? I clearly said in beginning to lock my interest rates but it wasn’t locked and was stated the other mortgage person left company in Dec. I was left crying ,mentally stress , exhausted at end of closing as I didn’t had enough time to shop around and my mortgage was not handled professionally and with best interest . I will never recommend this mortgage consultant to my friends or family . Jerry and Rigo were best people in your company who made me feel happy about my house and was involved in this process and shared every detail of my house . Ashley was great in gallery Aswell . And least when house owners get house keys , builder or sales give flowers /gift/ token of love / memory to homeowner like flowers . I was given Richmond bag with keys and congratulations .
