Disappointing Experience

The sales person told us several things that we would have in our current spec home. Only to find out that none of these things were included and we weren't able to change anything. She quit 3 days after we signed and her replacement pleaded ignorance. I will state the obvious: buyer beware.

DON’T GET SWINDLED LIKE WE DID

The Sales Rep we went through was incompetent. Before viewing the home for the first time, we were told the crawl space would be 2 feet high, that our side yard would stretch down to the curb giving us a substantial amount of yard space and that a pool/clubhouse was to be built across the street. Upon actually viewing the home, we discovered the crawl space was only 2 feet high thus making it almost unusable for storage purposes as we had hoped. LIE ONE. Terrible sales team

Sales team had zero knowledge of the process. Including the supervisor. Also, my lawn looks like a 9-year-old installed it.

I will never by a Richmond Home again.

The carpet is so thin and bare the carpet tack made my feet bleed. NONE of the shelving was installed into studs, I had to fix it all myself. The pantry shelves were cut too short, and I am still waiting for that to be fixed. The roof pools water on it during storms instead of having the grading set correctly. The garage door strip was cut short so I have mice in the garage. They pressure you to give them all Five Star reviews, they don't deserve them. The sales staff doesn't explain that the bathroom tile you get is just builder grade white blah, unlike the model home. The appliances on the ...

Was not given second garage remote, garage was not pressure washed, house was dirty. Someone was supposed to reach out to get this scheduled and I have not heard from anyone.

Lot of issues not solve

Since the beginning of the purchase was not clear and the communication not at all. For approval of purchase took to long to said not approved and in the between of the process they always ask for documents that was already upload in the portal meaning they never look the docs provide. After purchase of the house I am still waiting to solve or repair the issues that was address.

Poor Construction Quality and Worse Warranty Coverage

The house was purchased under the assumption that it is new and will be covered under warranty if something is not right. That was a big mistake. The house was not ready on the date of closing with plenty of outstanding defects identified during pre-closing walk-through. The builder was not willing to fix them all before closing and forced us into closing or lose the deposit. The construction crew were working on the house even on the revised closing date. Then the repairs just stopped after closing and we have to chase down the superintendent constantly to work on the promised repairs. ...

Very Poor experience. They have yet to fix the issues with the home. They give an excuse for everything and push back on fixing items that need to be repaired or replaced. Very poor workmanship. Sliding door is broken, basement floor and carpet are poorly installed, plumbing, foundational issues etc. Buyer Beware!

If I had it to do over I’d never buy a house from them. Do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can in the other direction.
