Terin has been super helpful with the home buying process with Richmond! We came from the other side of the US and she was able to keep in contact with us to give us updates and would even go above and beyond to FaceTime and send pictures of videos to do the tours for us. And continues to check in even after we move to see how we are enjoying everything and if anything needs attention. Luke has been really helpful addressing any concerns we have and I feel like he truly cares for the people and making sure they are happy with their home. The buying process was very easy and understandable for a first time home buyer as Richmond provided very good education. The 2 story house was built well and only had to have minor things done after the move in. Such as roof shingles needing to be replaced and window screens missing but all was fixed or put in by Richmond. We are very happy with the house so far.

I’ve never bought a home by myself and American homes made the experience easy and simple. Very friendly and thorough. Answered every question I had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Excellent price and best offer

Our overall experience was great. Terin was exceptionally great. She was on top of every one of our needs. Even when our loan officer Alyssa made it difficult in every way during the process, Terin was always there going above and beyond what her duties were to get us information and help that we needed in order to close our home. Some of the best customer service Lauren and I have ever experienced. We are forever in her debt. There are some things with the home that we are upset about since being in the home but no house is built perfect and we understand that and have learned a lot through this process. Overall experience its been good. The customer service from Terin is excellent, if the whole review would be based on her service, we would do a 5-star review. She went above and beyond for our family to get the house. Luke also has been great at honoring his word and fixing what he says he’s going to get fixed. The quality of products used isn’t the best but so far house it’s holding up. Future homeowners should do a thorough inspection, even if needed to be paid out of pocket to do so. Before moving in, they fixed everything right away. Once you moved in everything is through warranty.

I have been in my home for one month and have multiple issues. I had a major roof leak, which has been a fight and has not been complete. The soil surrounding the home is so bad and was not compacted that every estimate for landscaping has mentioned to complete the yard adequately, that I would need to put in about 15k worth of dirt before doing any landscaping. The recent rains have caused major movement in cement and my driveway is already heaving. The cement in my backyard cracks more and more every day. Walk through items on day of closing are yet to be looked at. Carpet is coming up, doors do not close properly or will not open unless you yank on them. The flooring is coming up in the living room. The dishwasher is already broken. Trim is coming off. The track for the rolling trash can receptacle is not functioning properly. There is a giant chip in the new cabinets. There was never a construction clean complete - paint and blemishes throughout. The stone is falling off the front of the house.......all warranty issues that were being brought to the attention of the local warranty agent, Rada - who is apparently the "bod cop" of the organization as she was rude and unprofessional...in regard to the roof leak she said "I don't care - I will stop all repairs" - when I objected to them sending a worker to complete the work who had no idea what was supposed to be done and could not speak English and was asking the occupants what he was supposed to do via a google translator. Considering water was dripping through the light fixture - I thought it was important to have the electrician do a thorough job and not ask the owners how to do electrical work. As I stated earlier Rada added insult to injury by being rude and unprofessional and hanging up on me. The saving grace of this community is Teran and the trades supervisor Luke. They have been so kind and have done as much as they possibly can to support me during this a very stressful time - which should not occur with a brand-new home. Having issues with grading of land and concrete

We had issuing plumbing pieces, exterior material. Walls not completely painted, carpeting already fraying and not secure, molding falling off and having to nail or glue back on. For the amount people are paying for these homes it should be better quality and actually still be sturdy and not falling apart in less then a year.
