The home is beautiful and Richmond American delivers a quality product.

Richmond offer more than the other Builders, i am really happy with my purchase.

The construction supervisor did not handle the issues appropriately or in a timely manner. Full of excuses and knows the issues but showed little care to resolve appropriately.

Landscaping is POORLY designed. Walk thru inspection tasks are not completed on time. ARC Requests do take LONG time for approval.

Great process, very smooth. Always communicating at every step of the way. Claudia, Chezca and Esteban are a professional team dedicated to make you feel like family.

I just relocated from Chicago, by myself… and the Richmond Homes team made it so much easier with awesome service and attention to detail. Janeen was the first Richmond Sales Agent and she is frickn AWESOME!! She made a very tough and difficult part of my life very simple and supported!

THE BAD. Our house was filthy after closing. Workers used our bathrooms, broking promises by builder in regard to our driveway. Paint spots on carpet in every room. The tile floor had paint specks and excess grout and some type of adhesive spots. Bathroom counter top had silicone smudges all over them. THE GOOD, The neighborhood and residents are great. The house house has a good layout. The sales team and superintendent seem to care

Sara, Mary, and Dave were all terrific to work with and took care of us getting what we wanted in the house. Great home for the value compared to other builders in the area.

It’s was a Great experience

We are very pleased with the purchase of our new home. However We would have preferred that a floor plan option were offered to us before we sign the contract. We saw the model home and we fell in love with the floor plan, but apparently they built the floor plan they had available or they just decided for us. Also the superintendent was not very helpful and nice when we close our house since there were pending issues to be completed in the house that he never took care. Other than that the house is beautiful. There are areas where there were needed more lights like in the living room where they put only one single light! The trees were dead when they delivered the house to us. There were two appliances brand new and already broken. We had to call the manufacturer and have them fixed by ourselves! No assistance from the builder! The backyard lot was not properly delimited so they put the limits like 20 feet less than what our survey plan says. I would say I have no complaints about the way we qualify and financially speaking close the house, but we are not happy with the way the superintendent dealed with the pending finishings of the house. Underwhelmed but good enough house. Some cheapness in finishes, appliances/AC unit, materials and installation for cost sitting, cutting corners. Dealings were deceptive or non responsive.

Gene and Brian were so welcoming and able to answer all our questions and address the concerns that arose. They were available when needed and willing to help any way possible. They made this decision a no brainer, we are so thankful to them.

We bought a Richmond American model in Florida. We picked the Azure model. My wife and I love it. Our rep Rosemary was wonderful and helped us immensely in picking and buying our home. We have lived in it just over a month and have n o complaints. We stop and look around almost daily and cannot believe we are actually living in such a nice home.

Awesome couldn’t be better process was great and smooth

The sales agent started out well but in the end was snippy. With this company you won't be treated like a customer so don't expect it. I wouldn't recommend them to friends and family for customer service nor the way construction issues. House hasn't settled so that excuse for the current issues is null. The home is beautiful but the service turnaround is slow.

I purchased a spec home that was finished 3 months prior to my purchase. There were some small craftsmanship issues but these were taken care of immediately. The team was excellent and a pleasure to work with.

Sales process good. However, the title company HORRIBLE. the house has a leak, they forced me to close with an uncompleted list of items that they have not fixed yet. It’s been a month and no one has contacted me.

Our experience was extremely happy. Rosemary and Marcos, as well as Eric were literally holding our hands as we walked through a rather difficult sell/buy situation. The underwriting staff were courteous and quite professional. I thank and bless them all. THIS is the way to sell a home.

While the layouts of these homes are appealing, that’s about where the value ends. The construction includes the absolute bare minimum of items, and what is included is often installed poorly. Be prepared to make numerous warranty claims, which can take anywhere from days to months to get resolved. You'll need to budget extra for essentials like additional cabinetry, garage door motors, ceiling fans, a fence, a screen for the lanai, blinds, and much more. The carpet was installed with builder-grade padding, and the flooring is disappointingly curvy and bumpy. I’ve also noticed exposed screws on the drywall that were just painted over, and there are random items with screws missing entirely. I also have exterior cracks that look like foundation issues which the builder claims is no big deal. Most importantly, the HVAC system is a major letdown. They provide an underpowered system, so if you have a larger home, expect to run your AC nearly 20 hours a day to keep the place cool. If you are deciding to go with the builder lender for the incentives they offer, it’s going to be an extreme headache. The lending experience was the worst I’ve ever had and owning multiple homes. While my experience with this builder was poor, from what I’ve heard from other buyers from other builders in my surrounding area, their experiences were not much better. I choose my home due to the location, timing, and most importantly home layout. Additionally, the Richmond sales rep who showed us the homes was very sweet and accommodating. Very great service was given by the builder realtor

Our experience with Richmond America has been extremely disappointing, primarily due to being misled multiple times throughout the process. First, we were lied to about how the incentives work. Additionally, we were given an incorrect cash-to-close amount, which was nearly double what we were initially told. Despite having my child support amount accurately listed on all signed papers, I was treated with suspicion and accused of lying about it. This resulted in the child support not qualifying, and I was required to pay off all my remaining debt to get approved. This process took about a month to resolve. After finally getting our house, the issues only continued. During our first walk-through, we pointed out several problems that still have not been fixed. The attitude from Rafael, our point of contact, has been particularly frustrating. He dismissively told us that no house is perfect, which we understand, but the number of issues we found is unacceptable. For instance, the backyard grass was dead, and we were told it would come back to life, which it never did. Even our lawn care professional confirmed that the grass was dead. We sent an email about a month ago detailing all the issues we found, and we were promised a response within 3-4 days, but we never heard back. I sent another email yesterday requesting an update and to provide additional issues. Since then, I have discovered two more problems: our sliding door doesn’t stay closed, and three plants have died despite daily rain.
