Not a pleasant experience

There was no one present for walkthrough or closing. We were alone. We had a great sales associate initially but when she left , the experience became worse. We felt alone and w had to constantly follow up on the process. Items in the home are still not complete. I would not recommend Richmond to anyone.

I loved the design of the house. However there was lot of things were not done before closing. They gave us bad walls, some walls they didn’t even finish painting, broken tiles with holes in the grout, bathroom tub has a big hole, light fixture broken, floodligh missing, roof was leaking when it start raining, the faucets are not properly sealed so the water drips down to the cabinet. Toilet paper dispenser they drilled a big nail. Big list. I bought the house I because I love the design. I know you guys take care of your customer, the supervisor David who build the house did a horrible job. ...

While the layouts of these homes are appealing, that’s about where the value ends. The construction includes the absolute bare minimum of items, and what is included is often installed poorly. Be prepared to make numerous warranty claims, which can take anywhere from days to months to get resolved. You'll need to budget extra for essentials like additional cabinetry, garage door motors, ceiling fans, a fence, a screen for the lanai, blinds, and much more. My experience was very bad from the beginning. The seller deceived me into signing a contract and giving my deposit by offering things I did not received. When I brought it up to a management absolutely nothing was done. I moved into a home I am not happy with. I will give them a zero if I could, the whole process was very bad.

Extremely dirty inside and out. Walls way out of square, paint rubs off of the walls with ease. Paint all over the exterior windows. Electrical outlets not connected. Would never purchase another home with this builder.

Disappointing Experience with Richmond America

Our experience with Richmond America has been extremely disappointing, primarily due to being misled multiple times throughout the process. First, we were lied to about how the incentives work. Additionally, we were given an incorrect cash-to-close amount, which was nearly double what we were initially told. Despite having my child support amount accurately listed on all signed papers, I was treated with suspicion and accused of lying about it. This resulted in the child support not qualifying, and I was required to pay off all my remaining debt to get approved. This process took about a ...
