I was pleased with the whole process. The sales team made us feel like VIPs. They sent fotos of the home at every step. The experience was smooth. I would recommend this builder to any one who wants a new home without issues.

I had a great experience with Richmond American. The whole process was smooth. I've been in my new home for over a month now. The house is amazing, the neighborhood is what I wanted. I think I made the right choice with this new construction in a beautiful location that is growing.

The details you get for the price of the home is better than any other home we saw.

When I was placed on contract for my home, the building process moved very slowly. After some adjustments, things seemed to get back on track. However, I am not pleased with the limited customization, such as adding additional speakers, a swimming pool, a fence, etc., to the mortgage. During inspections and closing, the enthusiasm to make the necessary fixes was apparent, but some things did not get done. I'm still waiting for my driveway to be cleaned because my final walk-thru was on a rainy day.

Overall I can say we love our Richmond American home. However the buying experience did not go as smoothly as I imagined it to be when it came down to closing. Our house was definitely not ready to close on our closing date. I was pushed back once already for a stairwell railing replacement due to the wrong railing installed. I wish I could of delayed our closing again due to the fact our house was very dirty on our closing date. My first 2 days of owning the house was spent cleaning the entirety of the house from dust and dirt. It took several repeats of deep cleaning to remove dirt and excess paint off the LVO and carpet. Something that should not of happened and did take away the excitement of moving into a new home. I did hire a 3rd party inspection in which found a few major and several cosmetic issues. Major issues were repaired but had still had several other cosmetic issues needing to be repaired that was not completed prior to closing. Management did complete almost all cosmetic items in a timely manner after settlement. We have had multiple issues regarding irrigation pipes leaking but they have been addressed. The grass that is placed throughout the property and community is Bahia. Bahia grass so far has been low maintenance but our grass was not watered regularly when placed prior to settling. Majority of the grass in the front yard is very patchy along with the countless nails and metal fragments that is constantly being found. I have yet to walk barefoot on my own grass without the fear of stepping on a rusted nail. ... More

The people I worked with, sales and construction, are outstanding and continue to be so. They are just being asked to do too much, too fast and the results show it. Lots of little/moderate problems that were indicative of this. Not real pleased with that, not much else to say. I chose to buy, so it is my fault. I like the house ( once the issues are straightened out)and the neighborhood. Why you cannot select any options is stupid and why you get this review. No pull out drawers in the bathrooms…really? Just cheap. Of course, I signed a contract and they (corporate) dropped the asking prices 15k+. Yeah, not pleased, then all the crappy and, I mean crappy, issues with the house. Workers/builders rushing/don't care. Hard sell to recommend RA. The saving grace is they are responding to my complaints. However, so many of the problems are just not really excusable. Bad experience, any time I’m referring Richmond

GET EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE CLOSING, even punch list items that they promise will get done asap because even these have been an absolute pain in the rear to get taken care of. And you think that's hard, warranty is absolute garbage, you have to get the top manager involved or you won't be getting a response. I wish we had not rushed final closing, and delayed closing like some of our neighbors did, because we are over a month from when we closed and are still waiting for punch list items to be finished. Desde el día uno que nos mudamos se nos va la corriente en la cocina se nos dañó todo lo d esa nevera hicimos el reporte y hasta hoy 12/31/2023 no han solucionado el problema sin decir que el piso tiene detalles la alfonbra de la escalera tiene pintura en los bordes las manillas absolutamente todas las tocaba y te quedaban en las manos allí la reglamos como pudimos ya que eso no puede esperar y lo podíamos hacer lo d de la electricidad se escapa de nuestras manos para resolverlo. Y la grama no la colocaron la tiraron por ende no está lisa está con muros ósea montaña pequeña y no hablar que cuesta que las pocetas o inodoros descarguen de forma eficiente realmente quería una casa pero no pensé que podía tener tantos problemas siendo nueva y lo peor es que no te ayudan a resolverlo el problema de electricidad es grave y aún así no han podido solucionar ... Very bad and warranty long process And quality of materials very low

Awesome sales staff. Terrible build experience. Lots of promises and lip service from the superintendent. No one comes back after closing to address issues.

They will over promise and under deliver. Everything was a quick fix during the walk around but they waited a month after closing and my consistent follow up to start making repairs that were supposed to be done prior to closing and then postponed by the builder to the week after closing. To name a few: -water hoses in the washer are cross connected -unable to use a broken tub for a month now and builder is MIA. -they show you better quality appliances and then go with the cheapest. -a door doesn't latch - ceiling was not properly painted -floor has stains -house wasn't cleaned. AC filter was not replaced as promised. -Appliances has dents, and scratches, same with sliding doors. Windows stained with glue or paint. The lack of care is obvious. For a better experience have them get any work done PRIOR to closing. I'm disappointed with the experience don't recommend this builder. ... More

Listing out all the issues and horrible customer service we experienced would do nothing for anyone. So, save yourself the time and heartache and DO NOT BUY A RICHMOND AMERICAN HOME. Take your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else. All the reviews are true. Horrible craftsmanship, quality is cheap and customer services (after they take your money) is less than stellar. You've been warned. DON'T DO IT!
