Great experience and trustworthy all the way. Sales Associate, Chuck, worked great on my side all through the way and respond to every questions in a prompt respectful, and professional manner. Great guidance all through the way for a first time home buyer like me, and the gift and follow ups even after moving in was great ensuring we enjoy our new house.

Location is perfect, the home appearance inside and outside. The strangest encounter. the Lapis my favorite color, it was very appealing. Thanks

My home buying experience with Richmond homes was amazing from the first time that I met Chuck, he took the time to help me find the house that I was looking for an even helped me make a few changes along the way. Me being retired military, and coming back home to Maryland was so exciting and overwhelming at the same time to buy a new build home. I was kept up-to-date as the process was going through and even receive photos. I had the opportunity to have a pre-walk-through with Dave, and then a final walk-through with him just to make sure everything looked the way I expected it and explain all the things in the home. ... Overall we have had a great first home buying experience. The quality of work generally is great, we have noticed a few points where it seems like people may have cut corners or simply didn't have a care in the unfinished spaces. (Protruding nail heads) being 1 example. Maybe a few poor cuts in corner spaces etc. Everything is functional though and for that we are delighted. To match the title of my review, Communication has been amazing and we are still reaching out as we get settled within the home. I do trust the builders, I trust the organization, and I think they can take care of any concerns to come through our first year. Warranties have worked wonderfully (not that many were needed at the moment, just small things between appliances.) Everyone is quick to respond and address our needs. I think the home is great, and while we accept the price, it could also have been much less a few years ago so I don't put that on the builders. The markets are inflated and we feel we got fair value for the times. As rates rise we feel like we really lucked out to buy when we did. Similar to previously written material, the team is overall very responsive to what we need. I think the quarterly check ins are in part why, but sometimes it can feel like a lot of time passed to get a response. In terms of general delivery time though I'm sure its because we are swayed by the world of amazon and online deliveries being so competitive. We had a very good experience overall. We found a dream home that we weren’t even looking for. The sales representative was wonderful, helpful and informative, but not pushy or annoying like someone can be. Every other interaction was genuine, straightforward, and met expectations. We are very happy with our purchase and our beautiful home.

Excellent service and great environment

Lack of responsiveness to key workmanship issues. Some issues have been resolved but large number still open. Repair workers cause additional issues when they are here. All of my issues need to be addressed

Very disappointed in the workmanship and quality of the home. I have a dual zone HVAC system and now am running 2 humidifiers because my house was registering 60% humidity. Their answer? it’s just MD! Called their technician and they said we need a whole house humidifier! Are you serious? We were less than 30 days in and now saddled with an expense for a house that is under warranty. No deadbolt on the garage door and I had a huge boot print on the door. They did not even paint the door even after I asked about. Basically they give you a new car with a dent in it and refuse to lower the price. The mortgage loan process was a disaster and we have a great credit but only the loan officer will communicate with you. Even the closing process I had to sign an Affadavit after we had closed regarding The MD First time home buyer credit that was mentioned up front. Not a great experience and extremely disappointed. The house has some nice features but the drywall work is horrible and does not match the price point but does match the current market. If I had more time I would have purchased a resale. The best benefit is the below market interest rate of 4.99%. I am very disappointed in Richmond and this is the worsts purchase experience we have had and this is a 180 degree difference from the last new home we built. Richmond’s stance is what the will not do and a very inflexible. Typically, anything you ask for the answer is no. We had to reach out to district management to recoup a tree credit of 2,500 because they did not know their own rules regarding the Transfer taxes being paid by them and at the last minute they attempted to use the credit they provided towards the transfer taxes. I was able to get them to plant 4 trees that we are still waiting for but we do have it in writing. Currently we are dealing with our 30 day inspection and will see how that goes. Unimpressed! ...
