The American Home that I bought is beautiful and I love it of course the model had all the nice things in it. One of my pet pees is the master bathroom has no linen closet one linen closet in a three bed room house. The dish washer was not working their was a lot of blame to go around the GE to the builder no one was responsible two weeks later no dish washer it was the builder crew who did not hook it up also GE came out and they could not see what the problem was and it's there product.

I understand timing is everything. I was tired of living in a tiny apartment after I retired from the military. Why is it so hard to find an affordable house. Oh well, like the title implies, a good home at a tough time. There are areas of the house you can tell were rushed, the bath tub was scratched when it was installed, the frame doesn't line up near the entrance door, the ceiling was sagging in the master bedroom. You guys sold a $300 thousand dollar house for half a million dollars, at least you could have taken your time. Could have at least astro-turfed the backyard so it keeps the HOA off our backs. Stuffs expensive right now and needing to put in blinds, fans and a backyard takes a tole on any bank account. The builder did a good job on the essentials of the home, however they did not give attention to detail to a myriad of issues that are not covered by the 1-year warranty.

We love the floor plan. They were flexible with our requirements for closing. Has taken a couple of months to resolve all the build issues. None were overly major, but a lot of small things add up. There was also a disclosure issue surround the totally unnecessary HOA, whose existence and terms were not provided until after we closed.

Georgine was great. Customer service was top notch. Kept me in the loop throughout the process. There was one issue but Luke and Georgine handled it. Richmond American Homes cares about their buyers and made sure I was happy.

Cindy DeValle may the whole experience great without the purchase would have never happened John made walk through easy. The old saying you get what you pay for. I think quality on products in house could be better than what you represent in retail numbers you have a huge buying power for your products. Also your 24 hour policy is terrible with closing escrow arranging move un your expected to get problems reported and then you say it takes 10 days to schedule for problem to get resolve. Jennifer is great at getting problems done. Except you only had 24 hours to report. If you asked would I buy this home again I would honestly say NO. That came with finishes picked and no offer to change anything cost me a lot to make my home . Please better quality quartz that’s the biggest thing for me the quality of the workmanship mainly rough edges can’t be address because I noticed past the 24 hours. Plus had crushed ducting if it weren’t for hiring electrician to wire my spa would have never known it has been resolved took 3 weeks since filing an issue. ... More

The overall buying experience was great. Some minor issues with communication but that was fixed. The one thing bothering me now is I have submitted a work order of the things not fixed from the final walk through and now 30+ days. I still have not heard from anyone to come and fix these issues. My dishwasher currently does not work and has not worked since day 1.

Love the house sell person wasn’t honest

I would like to share my overall experience with the sales and construction teams, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Sales Team: My interaction with the sales team was generally positive. The representatives were attentive and helpful, addressing most of my queries adequately. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more frequent updates and detailed answers to specific questions I had. A more comprehensive approach from the sales department would have enhanced my overall experience. Construction Team: Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team was not great. There were consistent delays, and numerous mistakes were made throughout the building process. I had to bring these mistakes to their attention during my periodic walks of the property under construction. All the mistakes were handled as I brought them to their attention, but still shouldn't have to catch these as a buyer. In addition, the construction team was addressing outstanding issues during the final walk, creating challenges for me to thoroughly assess and sign off on the completed work. I believe there is a need for better coordination and communication within the construction team to avoid such issues. Timely completion of tasks outlined during walk-throughs is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback proves constructive in enhancing future customer experiences. Not too happy with certain problems that I have encountered and still dealing with. I would have hoped for a better experience with the final walkthrough and fewer house problems.

After submitting warranty issues, have received very poor response to getting items fixed.

I have been trying for weeks to get a dead tree and plants replace they said they are not under warranty! This is poor service for a house we paid $500 thousand for. What a scam.

During our final walk we had a list of things that were wrong. Only half of them were resolved. Head contractor didn’t seem to care about the issues that were not fixed. We were unable to get a hold of him after that day. We had to contact home warranty people to have someone else come over and fix some issues. Shouldn’t the final acceptance form half to be signed and the customer satisfied before you release the home?? This never happened. To this day we have never signed off the final walk paperwork. Terrible!

Poor construction job. In a hurry to sell, rushed.

The process from beginning to end was great. Sales office was very communicative and upfront. The fixes requested were done in a timely and effective manner..

Poor communication and information

The building process was very good. The follow up after has not been as good. We did not receive any training on how to operate our appliances. Now that we are here, we are unable to register with the home warrantee company, and are having an issue with at least one appliance.

A lot of missing finish part their job. Many mistakes. It looks obviously tried to finish building real quick. Many spots are not perfect compare to other homes. Very disappointed that price i paid. Area, design looks good. But thats it. If its 1-2 or 5 spots r not cleaned finish is okay, But so many things that they built wrong. very very disappointed . But i have no choice. L

For almost half a mil not worth the price and experience

The salesperson in the office was very nice and helpful prior to moving in. However, I found an issue with construction regarding our property. I called the office to check on the warranty and to fix this problem but they never responded back to me. I am very disappointed with the response and still after all this time no one has responded back.

Great home but didn’t feel at home with issues and things needed to be fixed. Yes we might of missed a few things during walk through but I feel that the house should have been up to standards with Richmond quality homes. I’ve own a Richmond home before and know the service, quality, and issues resolved can be better. It’s frustrating waiting for a timeframe to have warranty issues scheduled with no shows or communication. We have had multiple issues with the warranty representative.

Our sales person, Dionne was helpful and responsive. Our designer Lisa was great and addressed our issues. Our Super, Mike, awful! Doesn’t know how to talk to customers, was rude and not helpful at all. Lots of issues between construction. Oswaldo from home warranty has been great to work with, but overall the house has a lot of issues that are being addressed and fixed. Just taking a lot of time to get completed.

I wanted to wait to write this review, after being in the home for a liitle. Overall experience was good, Erik in the office was great no issues, always took our calls and our questions. Our biggest problem is all of the finish work that was completed or not really completed. Alot of stuff was just touched up quickly so that they could close the house. Our baseboards/trim and walls are probably the worst; uneven and rushed. We still have people coming back to fix things; it just takes so long even though we've paid and we are in our home. It's really just an inconvenience to us as the buyer, we can't decorate due to walls needing to be re painted. We can't fill our cabinets since those need to be fixed as well. They forgot our soft closed cabinets and doing the extra finish on them at the end so they are mot so dull. Plus, they almost forgot our covered balcony that they ended up having to take off the roof that they had started and redo it which is probably why things were rushed since they were 2 to 3 weeks behind. Our problem is, is where is the quality control? We understand that people are not perfect. But, for a new home priced over 500k. You would think there would be some more consideration with the details and finishes. We're still finding things and it's just makes us feel like we come last.
