I understand timing is everything. I was tired of living in a tiny apartment after I retired from the military. Why is it so hard to find an affordable house. Oh well, like the title implies, a good home at a tough time. There are areas of the house you can tell were rushed, the bath tub was scratched when it was installed, the frame doesn't line up near the entrance door, the ceiling was sagging in the master bedroom. You guys sold a $300 thousand dollar house for half a million dollars, at least you could have taken your time. Could have at least astro-turfed the backyard so it keeps the HOA off our backs. Stuffs expensive right now and needing to put in blinds, fans and a backyard takes a tole on any bank account. Quality. Good craftsmanship. The Builder team very polite and professional.

The builder did a good job on the essentials of the home, however they did not give attention to detail to a myriad of issues that are not covered by the 1-year warranty.

We love the floor plan. They were flexible with our requirements for closing. Has taken a couple of months to resolve all the build issues. None were overly major, but a lot of small things add up. There was also a disclosure issue surround the totally unnecessary HOA, whose existence and terms were not provided until after we closed.

The loan process was the most cumbersome that we have every experienced

While waiting for our home to be built, we watched too many YouTube videos about new homebuyer horror stories. Thankfully, that was not the case for us. Through the building of our home, we visited the site weekly, sometimes more frequently. Anything we saw during and between our formal walkthroughs was quickly addressed by our Sales rep and Building Supervisor. They readily responded to emails, calls, and text messages. Even while visiting another Richmond American home development, the Sales Rep gave us updates on our home and shared photos of its progression. During our next to last walkthrough we were asked repeatedly to open and close doors, turn on faucets, turn on and off every light switch. Our Sales rep even stood outside with us waiting for the last minute repairs to be done so escrow could close and to give us our keys on schedule. Even after our closing, the Building Supervisor has been responsive to our calls and texts. The one star ding regarding responsiveness to our issues is due to our not having heard back after submitting our list of repairs 10-days after our move in. To date post move in repairs are minimal. I didn't get involved in the building of the house but the size is what I needed.

Georgine was great. Customer service was top notch. Kept me in the loop throughout the process. There was one issue but Luke and Georgine handled it. Richmond American Homes cares about their buyers and made sure I was happy.

From the very beginning, walking into the office, Jessica was inviting and knowledgeable. Very professional in dealings with me, as I was in la la land. Everyone was responsive to any questions or concerns that I had, this is including Home American Lending. The quality of the builds, for the price range I am in, is unmatched by other builders. Any issues that arose was probably because of my situation, retiring and purchasing at the same time. The builds are actually remarkable. This neighborhood in particular is going to be smaller, and is really diverse, which is truly appreciated. In closing, everyone involved from start to finish worked diligently, answered all questions, and seemed to be rooting for me through all this twists and turns of the home buying experience. Spending time for first walk-through and make sure all issues taking care of without any exceptions. Otherwise you will be spending lot of time after escrow closed

My home buying experience was phenomenal due to my real estate agent helping me. The overall home of lantana is average. The house is obviously build quickly to have many customers move in. The quality is not $460k, but that is something most people will need to realize is the norm. The structure is not the same quality as older homes but I accepted it. It is a good starter home.

No follow up after purchasing, it take more than 2 -3 weeks for come back for defect claims response

The overall buying experience was great. Some minor issues with communication but that was fixed. The one thing bothering me now is I have submitted a work order of the things not fixed from the final walk through and now 30+ days. I still have not heard from anyone to come and fix these issues. My dishwasher currently does not work and has not worked since day 1.

I think quality on products in house could be better than what you represent in retail numbers you have a huge buying power for your products. Also your 24 hour policy is terrible with closing escrow arranging move un your expected to get problems reported and then you say it takes 10 days to schedule for problem to get resolve. Jennifer is great at getting problems done. Except you only had 24 hours to report. If you asked would I buy this home again I would honestly say NO. That came with finishes picked and no offer to change anything cost me a lot to make my home . Please better quality quartz that’s the biggest thing for me the quality of the workmanship mainly rough edges can’t be address because I noticed past the 24 hours. Plus had crushed ducting if it weren’t for hiring electrician to wire my spa would have never known it has been resolved took 3 weeks since filing an issue. ... More

Not too happy with certain problems that I have encountered and still dealing with. I would have hoped for a better experience with the final walkthrough and fewer house problems.

Love the house sell person wasn’t honest

I would like to share my overall experience with the sales and construction teams, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Sales Team: My interaction with the sales team was generally positive. The representatives were attentive and helpful, addressing most of my queries adequately. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more frequent updates and detailed answers to specific questions I had. A more comprehensive approach from the sales department would have enhanced my overall experience. Construction Team: Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team was not great. There were consistent delays, and numerous mistakes were made throughout the building process. I had to bring these mistakes to their attention during my periodic walks of the property under construction. All the mistakes were handled as I brought them to their attention, but still shouldn't have to catch these as a buyer. In addition, the construction team was addressing outstanding issues during the final walk, creating challenges for me to thoroughly assess and sign off on the completed work. I believe there is a need for better coordination and communication within the construction team to avoid such issues. Timely completion of tasks outlined during walk-throughs is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback proves constructive in enhancing future customer experiences. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of my home, although I had to closely oversee the process and the work's quality. I have been trying for weeks to get a dead tree and plants replace they said they are not under warranty! This is poor service for a house we paid $500 thousand for. What a scam.

During our final walk we had a list of things that were wrong. Only half of them were resolved. Head contractor didn’t seem to care about the issues that were not fixed. We were unable to get a hold of him after that day. We had to contact home warranty people to have someone else come over and fix some issues. Shouldn’t the final acceptance form half to be signed and the customer satisfied before you release the home?? This never happened. To this day we have never signed off the final walk paperwork. Terrible!

Poor construction job. In a hurry to sell, rushed.

We had an amazing purchase experience until it came to financing with RA. The contractors interest was attractive but the amount of red tape we had to cross to get to YES was not worth the wait so we sought financing elsewhere Dana appeared to not go that extra mile to assist us but at the end of it all we got the home we wanted!
