Really smooth process overall, community is nice and loving my new home

The process goes so fast and I didn't expect it will be done in a matter of few weeks. Henry the builder agent is very reliable and helpful. He accommodate us from the beginning of our journey until the end. It was a very good experience. We're happy that we chose Richmond American Home as our builder. We will definitely recommend them to others who is looking for new homes.

Rushed through orientation and walk through. Agreed to do things and didn't. Learning much of the information he shared was inaccurate, so trust factor on remaining is at a low. Had an issue with the Garage door and when repairman came indicated hinges just needed oiled, but Contract Supervisor didn't know this? Basically he ruined an otherwise great experience with poor customer service.

We had a smooth process in buying this house. We have only had 1 issue with our kitchen sink which was fixed in a very timely manner. Everyone has been very helpful and nice.

I’m had the greatest experience buying a new home from Richmond America Homes in Roseville,Ca. Sales associates Lori and Katrina were great to work with. Loan Officer Chris was very helpful throughout the process. Whole team at Richmond America Homes made buying home enjoyable and delightful.

Would highly recommend that home buyers have a pre-dry wall and final inspection and do not assume because it's new construction that everything is fine. My inspection revealed workmanship that would void the manufacturer's warranty.

The home buying experience was pretty decent, however I didn't like how I was expected to read all my paperwork and understand all the terminology used, without anyone going over it with me. Being a first time home buyer it would have been nice if someone took the time to go over things with me. I couldn't share my documents with my realtor either. Responsiveness to issues is very poor, it took 3 weeks to address my garage door opener issue, and nearly 2 months to obtain a working set of keys to my home.

Jason was awesome. He worked with us & our agent throughout the process. He found answers if he didn’t have an immediate answer. We love the floor plan. The follow up after the walk through has been very positive. They have been responsive to our questions. Unfortunately the financing and title experience was deplorable. I would never use their lender or title on my own. That was the only way to get a favorable interest rate. We were very pleased with the insurance quotes and their responsiveness.

Buying a home is supposed to be an exciting milestone, a dream come true. Unfortunately, my experience with Richmond Homes turned out to be the biggest regret of my life. From start to finish, the process was riddled with frustration, disappointment, and regret. The pressure during negotiations was unbearable. Richmond played games with concessions and demanded an exorbitant amount of earnest money, clearly designed to lock me into the deal. It felt manipulative and left me feeling cornered, rather than confident in the decision I was making. When it came time to inspect the home, it wasn’t even 100% finished, and the closing package wasn’t installed. This is something you’d expect from amateurs, not a supposedly reputable builder. To make matters worse, the quality of materials was shockingly poor. Cheap labor and cost-cutting were evident in every corner of the house. It’s clear Richmond is saving money on details that matter most, sacrificing quality for their bottom line. The gap in communication throughout the process made everything even worse. Getting answers to basic questions felt like pulling teeth. There was no transparency, no accountability, and certainly no sense of customer care. It seemed their sole focus was cashing in and banking profits, with zero regard for the buyer’s experience or satisfaction. I’ve spent countless nights regretting this decision. From the very begining the whole process was , profecional,excelente and tthe proceso was fast. The employees were Kind and fast to respond any issue ......thanks for averything....

The sells agent, finance manager, and builder were great to work with and provided an excellent buying experience. The mortgage process was a complete nightmare - if you can get your own financing Do it - Save yourself the heartache and craziness. I can not imagine financing a large amount, ours was less than $100K and it was a complete disaster of an experience.

Buying this home was a breeze. Every team member that had a part in my purchase made it simple. I was informed along the way what to expect and when to expect it. There were no delays once the purchase agreement was made. The walk through and closing was quick. It did take some time to complete some of the issues from the walk through but there is only1 item from the list to be completed.

the process with the Richmond American team was very easy. all my questions were answered fast. closing was super quick and we had no problems. everyone on the team was super friendly and easily to get in contact with.

Dale and Paul (supervisor) were professional, courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. We'd use them again if we could. Overall, from start to finish, the process and personnel in insurance, title company et al, were exceptional, quick to handle issues, provide guidance and ensured that everything went smoothly.

Great home quality enhancements

We were looking for homes in Los Lunas and fell in love with the model home. We also fell in love with the size of lot. It seemed to be off to great start until it wasn’t. The sales rep Claudia, gave tons of inaccurate Information to our family regarding color schemes ,materials , trim color , all the way down to the lot she said she would hold for us . After about a month of thinking the lot was held for us , when we went back to look at it Claudia took us to the WRONG lot. At this point panic set in as she held the wrong lot . Thankfully it was still available. We sat down to talk colors , and Claudia gave us the wrong color scheme 3 different times . We didn’t even have a clue what colors we were getting until they were installed . Thank goodness they were colors we approved of. We had several bumps in the road and misinformation from Claudia, and instead of taking any accountability, she was abrasive with her responses . I asked several times for her supervisor to include my realtor , and Claudia refused to supply that info. Our home is beautiful, but the superintendent literally waited to the LAST possible second to complete the home . After taping items all throughout the home , they STILL missed several key items , which after I had to hound them to compete. Be careful with sales and construction, if you do not stay on top of things daily , things won’t get done correct or timely ! I did not have this experience with other builders previously! The president and vice president are good people , but sales and construction need LOTS of work . I hope this is considered at face value as a method for Richmond to improve for future buyers to have a better experience then we did from their employees who work face to face with the customers ! ... Great experience - From the start Steve was great and the complete experience from mortgage process to closing was seamless. Pricing was the best in the market.

Suri and James were very helpful. Suri, the sales consultant, went above and beyond with support. He was so reassuring. If he didn’t have the answer he found someone who did. I really appreciated him. I love the home and layout. I would have liked a little more attention to detail with the workmanship in some areas. James was great with having my concerns addressed. Overall very happy.

Initial buying experience with the sales team and mortgage team were great. Since moving in it has gone downhill. Slow response or no response from our original Warranty person. Better response from second warranty person but little to no response from any of the trades who should be coming to fix any issues. It’s disappointing to spend this much money to be treated as if we don’t matter once the sale is closed. Overall we are happy with the house but are very disappointed in some of the quality and lack of timely service regarding issues beyond closing.

Angel, the lender from the loan side, was absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, did not communicate well at all with myself or my realtor. I did request to deal with another person who could better answer my questions without telling me how good they were, or how long they've been in the industry. I requested to speak with a manager, was told I would get to, and still had unwarranted phone calls from Angel. I would still like someone to follow up on this process and let these concerns be heard. Worst experience I've ever had, especially after putting hundreds of thousands of dollars down. The craftsmanship of the home was questionable at times. After my initial walk through, many things that were taped or pointed out for repair, were clearly not fixed, but the tape was removed. This has all been documented along the process to show the lack of quality control. To be continued during my "warranty period" including a home inspection from a 3rd party. ... More

Go through your home with a fine tooth comb, there were a lot of things that were not properly done and covered up, things like chipped tiles that had been painted ect. If we were to do it over again we would definitely hire a home inspector to help identify deficiencies up front.

The Richmond team was very responsive and worked hard to ensure we had an overall positive experience. Gregg was especially helpful going above and beyond - bringing our family an extra set of keys when were locked out one night right after we moved in. THANK YOU GREGG!
