Signed on at dirt lot. Found out later was quick build. No changes allowed. Builder continually stated to not allow viewing at home could be breach of contract. Though found multiple issues, pointed out. Hopefully fixed. A lot of missing finish part their job. Many mistakes. It looks obviously tried to finish building real quick. Many spots are not perfect compare to other homes. Very disappointed that price i paid. Area, design looks good. But thats it. If its 1-2 or 5 spots r not cleaned finish is okay, But so many things that they built wrong. very very disappointed . But i have no choice. L

the framing, plumbing, eletrical, roofing was completed to the highest degree of professionalism. Inside trades were not up to the same standards. Warped walls inside, plumbing hardware elements that don't work, mismatch plumbing hardware, paint issues, grout inconsistencies on backsplash, etc were indicative of lower quality standards. Lastly, we paid $23K for a side turn garage as an optional add on. We were happy to do so. It was INCREDIBLY disappointing to learn upon possession of the house that a garage door opener was NOT included at that price. This is just another "finish" that ...

We had issuing plumbing pieces, exterior material. Walls not completely painted, carpeting already fraying and not secure, molding falling off and having to nail or glue back on. For the amount people are paying for these homes it should be better quality and actually still be sturdy and not falling apart in less then a year.

Great home plans and Nice community

Home plans at Seasons at Green Valley Ranch by Richmond American Homes to be unique and spacious. The community appears to be well-maintained and welcoming, and I would confidently recommend it to our friends for a visit to the sales office and model home. However, there are areas where I believe the builder could make improvements: 1. The Home American Mortgage department could benefit from enhanced communication practices. 2. It would be helpful for the sales office to provide clearer information about layout differences between model homes and actual homes. 3. I recommend that the ...

Overall, I am very happy with the home and with using Fidelity National Title as the title company. They knocked it out the ball park with customer service! I was told by Richmond American that my landscaping would be done in spring time but shortly after closing, landscapers showed up without any notice and I did not appreciate that.

Richmond American has several areas the home buyer has to deal with from sales, design center, electrical company for added options, mortgage company, home insurance company, mortgage department, loan officer, etc. It seems everyone does their own thing and your giving the same information to different people at different times. The process becomes extremely draining. They need one person to gather information who can pass it along. Their computer system constantly sends emails requesting documents to be completed even though the documents were completed and submitted to individuals already. ...

The sales process was quick and easy. Overall the sales team was communicative and transparent. There were typical and atypical bumps and bruises along the way, most of which were resolved in an acceptable timeframe. We were forced into closing before the home was ready, leaving us with three pages of open items and a dirty home to move in to. Richmond and our supervisor Rob did work with us to resolve all of the issues after closing, and relatively quickly too. The warranty process was smooth and Jimmy has taken great care of us since we transitioned. Poor workmanship throughout the house ...

I love the openness of the floor in lan I picked. The door knobs will all have to be replaced in the next couple of years because they are probably the cheapest and lowest quality on the market. The sliding glass doors are cheaply made, the front door was installed incorrectly so air and light all around the frame. The concrete is so cracked in the garage I will always have problems. The yard is going to cost a fortune to make it enjoyable because of the sod and sod layers doing such a horrific job. Never again will I buy a ‘new build’.

It has been almost 2 months since we closed on the home, and it is still unfinished. Missing cabinet door hardware for 16 cabinets throughout, and they keep telling me they can't get the hardware for some unknown reason. I have repeatedly pointed out issues in workmanship such as paint overspray on the front gate and garage access door. Paint drips/ stains on driveway, defects in drywall/paint inside and out. Carpet pulled / detached in 2 bedrooms. Cracked floor tiles inside, towel rod in bathroom completely just fell off when we first hung a towel on it. The list goes on! I understand that ...

The home is okay. There could have been a lot more smarts used when planning the backyards. Why are the homes backyards sloped?? Well because they didn’t want to make the effort to actually level out the backyards & make the homeowners pay extra to have retaining walls built. The builder definitely cut corners on materials and craftsmanship when making these homes.

First and foremost, I have to appreciate the design of the home and community but the rest part like communication on the overall process especially from the loan department and the quality of workmanship and delivery of home needs a hell lot of improvement. During the walk through you can’t identify the minute details but when you start living, notice like uneven application everywhere, dirty finishes, chipped off paint and cabinets and door, careless work in workmanship and uneven floor. But the good part is after warranty service is great and prompt response and takes accountability. Thank ...

We love our new home and we are overall happy in it. The homes and the neighborhood is beautiful and there is plenty of space. It is also very quiet inside the home so even with construction still happening we don’t bear anything when inside. I’m giving three stars because considering how expensive things are, and how experienced Richmond is in building homes, things should be completed by closing and the warranty should be a last option. Instead, Richmond relies on making the buyer file a warranty claim rather than just having everything complete in the first place. If you do need to ...

The salesperson in the office was very nice and helpful prior to moving in. However, I found an issue with construction regarding our property. I called the office to check on the warranty and to fix this problem but they never responded back to me. The homebuying process went smoothly. The quality of the work was sub-par by some of the contractors, i.e. the electricians, painters, and dry wall workers. The foreman promised things fixed at walk through that have not been corrected, and since ignored. I like my home and the neighborhood but was not told about all of the taxes at the location I live.

I had a lot of moving pieces in my life and needed a house. Richmond American was there to fill that need. Our house is okay. It's an okay starter house. Workmanship is okay. There is some pretty mediocre tile work going down. Otherwise things are functional and overall acceptable. Acceptable is the key. I'm sure you didn't want this review. - Financing deals-felt like they tried to get out of offering to us on a technicality. Very frustrating. - Blue tape- they out it everywhere so it essentially meant nothing. Plenty of imperfections after blue tape - Yard landscaping. They put down mulch with no ground cover. Terrible recipe for weeds. Cheap. - Wouldn’t let us change common sense things. Don’t put down mulch where we are immediately about to put grass. This just makes more work for us. We asked them not to paint the bannister so we could paint it a better color (saves them money saves us time) they said absolutely not. ...

At the time of signing, house was framed. Issues began almost immediately. A section of the garage foundation had to be cut out and repaired. This left a small portion of the garage floor discolored and scarred. It also added about a month to the estimated close. Once the house was back on track, the plumbing/electrical began. County inspection occurred and the dryer vent was determined to be too long and out of code. Between the redesign, county approval, and the fix, this added an additional two months OR MORE to our close date. It seemed like after that was finally sorted out, the house ...
