They are very informative, they so not pressure you for anything which is good. Buying a house is a enormous commitment, and they made me feel very comfortable.

The buying experience wasn't too bad, but going through our "blue tape walkrhrough" we found many items that should have been done that weren't (marks all over the walls, window framing that never got painted at all, paint all over the LVP flooring, a closet door put on backwards). The morning we were set to close on our house we showed up to make sure all of the blue tape marks had been corrected, only to find out that the super intendent had shown up and re marked all of the same stuff cause it still had never been fixed. A month after moving in, we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink that had been pooling in the cabinet, and on the floor beneath the sink. It has been a nightmare trying to get ahold of the warranty team to come fix anything for us. It definitely seems like Richmond is eager to get you into a house, and eager to forget about you once you pay and move in. Not a company I would recommend to others at this point in time. ... More

We recently purchased a home from Richmond American Homes. The process went very smoothly from first contact with Anthony for home tours to closing. Anthony was(is) very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire process. Our home is everything we wanted it to be with the exception that it did not come with gutters and downspouts, which we have since had installed. The quality and workmanship of the home is above the entry level home, and we toured several from many home builders. Great experience. Excellent value for the home

From sales to the foreman, the house buying experience has been very pleasant and the people we work with are very helpful and professional.

The buying experience begin smooth due to a wonderful realtor called Anastasia. Honestly if it wasn’t for her we would have walked away from the purchase a few times. During the process we were promised a few things that couldn’t or they did not want to deliver. We felt like they were just telling us what we wanted to hear so we could move forward with the purchase. The warranty person was great and super helpful, besides telling us what we wanted to hear. Two of the worse experiences came from the construction manager, telling us the backyard would be done in a way and completely changing without telling us (including moving tons of dirty, creating more future work for us). The other and probably the worse experience was the insurance company that they use AHI, a broker made out experience extremely unpleasant. The Broker called Jason, at one point stating that if we wanted to take advantage of the promotion we had to deal with paying more or we could just not take advantage of the promotion. It got so hostile, that I simply suggested to keep it professional and I would continue with the insurance since it was the only way to move forward, very unprofessional. Overall, the experience was ok, and I think they have the potential to improve. However, they should keep they word on what they promise you, and keep a closer eye on their partners (insurance company). ... More

I want to share my experience with the purchase of my new Richmond American Home. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, thanks in large part to the assistance from the realtor affiliated with the builder. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I am now the proud owner of a beautifully constructed home that meets my high expectations.

Amy was so helpful and responsive during the whole process the whole lending team as well and we are very happy with the purchase of our new home.

Graysi the realtor, Chuck superintendent during our walk through and Andrea 1 month follow up are great people! they are very thorough and are very attentive with our needs.

Compared to other builders I encountered during my home search, I believe they are among the better ones. I like most of their homes; however, to save money, some disappointing corners were cut. Building a house from scratch gives you the choice to avoid these issues, but since I bought a pre-made house, I found some aspects disappointing. It would be better if they increased the cost to ensure everything is done properly. Overall, I consider them to be good builders.

When we first moved in some of the electrical did not work. But the main problem we have is the HVAC system, I thought that with this much square footage of living space, that Richmond would do different control for the 2 different levels of the house. But now we’re stuck with the house only heating in the second level and no so much in the main level. And even their HVAC guy that came in when I requested to inspect it said that, it’s a very poor design. Our first month bill for our gas was ridiculous as the heating kept running and running, cause the house ain’t proportionate when is heating. I feel like they cut corners on this to save a few hundreds and it’s costing us. ... More

The magic and the excitement of moving to a new house was replaced with disappointment and frustration. The entrance column and walls of the house were crooked, and everything that was agreed upon during the final walkthrough was not done, inspite of giving them more time to complete it. Because of this, we were not able to move in right away, and the worst thing is, we had already moved in when the repair took place. If not for Mr. Dale, we would have hated the house and Richmond for the bad expereince. It was Dale that assured us that everything in the final walkthrough list will be addressed, and anything that needs repair, we just have to email/text it to him so it can be added to the list for the warranty. We also appreciated Edgar for assisting with the needed repairs. They are such relaible guys. Kudos to Dale and Edger for assisitng us with the needed repairs and assurance that the issues will be taken cared of. The repairs are still ongoing as of this moment. ... More

Buying process was okay, build quality is sub-par. Lack of drainage between houses is keeping in between both side our my house swampy, i havent used my sprinkler system since we moved in in December. Tiles in master bathroom cracking, looks like a 3 year old painted the house, these are just some of the extra issues i have found since our mive in walkthrough. Cant get a response for our 30 day warranty check in to address these issues as well.

Spec home. Highly disappointed in low end appliances and driveway. Rigid rules on walk-through for our situation was not pleasant. Several issues that need to be fixed. Lois and John were good to work with. We'll see how the post buy service is fixing the issues. So far nobody has reached out to ask how everything is. I would find another company besides Home Technology. HVAC isn't balanced. I could go on...

Kaitlin at the sales office and Kevin the super were great to deal with in buying my first home. They answered any questions I had and helped make the entire process very smooth and also very quick, from contract to close in less than 30 days!

The process was fast and they came through with everything they said and we closed on the the day we wanted

The total experience with Richmond Homes has been a very disappointing and frankly a very unpleasant one. What is said and presented by the Sales Associate is not what you will get. You will find out that very cheap materials have been used, and very poor craftsmanship in construction of the home. Every time the shower and toilets are used on the second floor, the sound of the water coming down the pipes in the walls of the first floor is extremely loud and very annoying. The price of the home goes higher with additions given to you after you have placed your honest money for the downpayment later to discover you have been over charged for items that are standard in most homes. Once the mistakes are pointed out, they come back with a line, "my mother's house has the same thing installed" or "you can buy it at Home Depot and change it yourself" ... More

First time buying a home from Richmond but I can honestly say it won’t be my last one. Great builder and they are really helpful with fixing any issues that come up.

MY EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END THEY TREATED ME IN THE WORST WAY IT WAS MY WORST NIGHTMARE I HAD NEVER BEEN THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THIS MY CHILDREN ARE READY TO BUY A HOUSE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO BUY WITH RICHMOND AMERICA HOMES STACY TREATED ME VERY BADLY I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE CAN WORK WITH PEOPLE SHE IS A RACIST.
