The selling staff was great. Always on top of any situation. After buying, the customer service for service calls is a little difficult to work with. But overall a good experience

Everything was fine. We just have not heard anything yet about our issues needing attention.

Overall, we’re happy with our new home—it has great features, and we’ve settled in nicely. However, for a home priced just shy of half a million dollars, there were a few design choices that left us disappointed. For example, the house has a clear color theme, yet chrome accents were used in the bathrooms, while the rest of the hardware and the kitchen faucet are matte black. This inconsistency makes the chrome look cheap in comparison. Also, while the kitchen drawers are soft close, the cabinets are not, which doesn’t make sense in a home at this price point. On a positive note, the staff we worked with were fantastic—very helpful and professional throughout the process. While we love the home, we think more attention to detail in design and craftsmanship would have made the experience even better. ... More

With any home your going to run in to issues I have had some issues come up that the Richmond team took care of promptly and with a sense of urgency. I have only had my home for a few months now but everything seems to be going smooth.

all are good but when we reported water leaks of all the bathroom sinks we expected someone to urgently come and fix it. Then next day a lady came and said they don't cover the leaking problem, said it is regular for leaking because the house is new. We are very confused and didn't believe that new house should have this leaking problem as regular. The houses we purchased from other builders don't have such a "regular" leaking problem. The lady left without doing anything to stop the leaking.

Got a good deal on builder closeout. there were some issues but nothing major.

Good to work with but the craftsmanship needs a little help

Brenda did an amazing job with our purchasing experience. She made our experience extremely helpful. The conversation with the lending teams were very difficult as we were trying to line out the mortgage. One or 230 minute zoom calls would have made the experience much easier. Raf throughout the blue tape walks and our entire purchasing experience. The construction team was updating or fixing items ongoing, which was super helpful. It helped us feel heard.

Overall we have had a great first home buying experience. The quality of work generally is great, we have noticed a few points where it seems like people may have cut corners or simply didn't have a care in the unfinished spaces. (Protruding nail heads) being 1 example. Maybe a few poor cuts in corner spaces etc. Everything is functional though and for that we are delighted. To match the title of my review, Communication has been amazing and we are still reaching out as we get settled within the home. I do trust the builders, I trust the organization, and I think they can take care of any concerns to come through our first year. Warranties have worked wonderfully (not that many were needed at the moment, just small things between appliances.) Everyone is quick to respond and address our needs. I think the home is great, and while we accept the price, it could also have been much less a few years ago so I don't put that on the builders. The markets are inflated and we feel we got fair value for the times. As rates rise we feel like we really lucked out to buy when we did. Similar to previously written material, the team is overall very responsive to what we need. I think the quarterly check ins are in part why, but sometimes it can feel like a lot of time passed to get a response. In terms of general delivery time though I'm sure its because we are swayed by the world of amazon and online deliveries being so competitive. We had a very positive experience while buying this new home. We moved from another city so it was a bit more challenging. Everything went as planned and in a good time line. The only issues we've had so far are workmanship of items in the home, inop window, lazy touch ups in places and not in others. As far as the value...it's ok. My sister bought a new build with another builder and got so much more for her money. We almost have the exact same lay out too. I feel for half a million dollars a 2,000 sq foot home should come with more upgrades and a few extras. I've purchased a few new builds an preowned homes in my life and that is just my opinion. ... Chris the Superintendent made me feel like a valued customer through his white glove service and follow up/follow through post close items. I have had a seamless home buying experience and they truly go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. This was a great starter home and I absolutely love the floorspace of my Chicago Floorplan especially upstairs. I feel I purchased a great Floorplan with views at a fair market price.

In today’s market I would recommend a new home with Richmond. Process was easy and I ended up getting huge incentives!

We had a great experience with Oliver and him helping us through the whole process. He answered all our questions and was very patient with us and us taking our time wanting to see all our options. We had a few warranty items that I wish were taken care of right away but we also bought near the holidays and people might be delayed. Overall I feel it was a positive experience even with us running into our own personal loan issues.

That the builder gave a good warranty on their products.

Richmond Homes was our first experience purchasing a home, and overall, it was excellent. Our sales associate, Myesha, was highly knowledgeable and guided us through every step required for the purchase of the new home. She was always available to answer our questions, and we felt confident knowing we were in capable hands. After closing escrow and receiving the keys, we had the opportunity to meet Jerry and Rigo. They provided a detailed walkthrough of the home, pointing out any flaws they had already identified and initiated work orders for. They also explained the warranties and maintenance requirements for various materials in the home. When we later noticed a few additional issues with the craftsmanship, they were quick to assist, either addressing the concerns directly or placing work orders for repairs. The home is wonderful. We had a great experience purchasing the home. The only thing we have had trouble with is responsiveness to issues, but it is in the process of getting fixed.

We had a great sales representative, Allison at Tributary. She was so easy to work with and responded to all of our questions. On the warranty side, we still have some outstanding items that need to be addressed. Hopefully they will be completed soon.

The experience with the sales person Zack was great and with all others during the purchase process! Now that we are in not so good sent work order for things that needed to be fixed and have not been contacted yet! We need some major things fixed like a pipe in our roof that just goes into the attic but connected to nothing. I can see light around my front door, garage door into house does not latch properly as other doors have same issue. We have a trusses in the attic that is cracked etc. sure would like these things fixed. Also if you want an independent inspection done make sure you set it up with plenty of time at least 3 to 4 weeks so they can do all their checks on the inspector.
