I am pleased with the home (Alexandrite Floorplan). The construction manager is mostly responsive to questions, repairs, and concerns now but wasn't very responsive in the beginning. It takes tenacity on the part of the homeowner to get things addressed. The community is better than most because the homes have substantially different exterior designs than most new communities. It's not as "cookie cutter" as other communities. The interiors are also nicer than most builder grade new construction. The high ceilings and quartz counter tops are a nice touch. Jessi is absolutely the best! She has gone above and beyond. Our experience with the sales process has been top notch. We haven't moved in yet, so answering the questions about the materials, value, and responsiveness are difficult to answer at this time. I really don't have enough information, so I chose the middle rating. I wish I could have sent the review without having to give a rating for each item. I suspect they will be all be 5 stars once we get settled in.

The salesperson and loan officer are very helpful and responsive. Catered to me every step of the way. The only thing that got me were the placements of the thermostat upstairs and downstairs. Both are only about 42 inches from the floor. Way too low for me. I’m 5’8 and my son is over 6 feet. I am a disabled veteran and I can’t see LCD screens unless they are straight in front of me. I asked for them to move it higher as like any other new or old homes I’ve been to that I and all I got was static and a definite no. Working with Suzanne was an absolute pleasure. As a first-time homebuyer, I appreciated her advocacy and the knowledge she shared throughout the process. Her expertise and dedication made buying a home manageable and enjoyable! However, I’ve faced some challenges with home care and communication with the superintendent and others. We had many issues with our new home. The quality of workmanship was substandard and Richmond should better monitor their contractors/emplyees building homes. Major issues like sewer belly, frozen pipes due to poor insulation, failure to exit the dryer venting on roof, poor installation of front door, gas range pipe leak, and other etc were all move in frustrations that were quickly fixed.

Purchasing/ management side was fantastic! The only downside is the builders. When I pointed things out to fix, the builders would cut corners ie. Asked for large rocks & trash removed from crawlspace. Later found out they moved it into a dark corner and put plastic on it to hide the issue... be sure to check EVERYTHING you point out to fix because if they think they'll get away with it they'll try to... their manager was good though I blame the workers.

The paint contractor did a horrible job and cleaned his paint brushes in the kitchen sink! All the doors in the house have issues with paint splatters and don’t look like they were cleaned or sanded before painting. Upstairs bathroom has a piece on the bottom of the door coming off (can’t be replaced because it was seen at walk through! Puddling water between the houses.

The sales dept was fabulous. Tanner did a fabulous job. The mortgage qualification was horrendous. Major overhaul needed only to find out mtg was sold before I made one payment. Had a keak behind master sink over 30 days ago. Today the counter top and medicine cabinet sit in my bedroom on the floor. Paul tried to schedule the carpet to be replaced before the counter top and medicine cabinet was reinstalled. Have not heard from him in 10 days and I won’t let carpet be installed until these are done. Who wants brand new carpet trampled on by plumbers, cabinet people. Very poor communication ...

The house is very nice, beautiful design, interior, and exterior. However, I wish they clean inside more throughly. There are area were not throughly clean, scratches, stains from working on the house, and scratch on the appliances. When the buyer wants to buy, we expect the brand new place spotless.

Overall, I like the people I have dealt with while purchasing my home. I'm not super happy with the workmanship of the home or how slow it is to get the issues addressed. I've been in the house for a month and I still don't have my garage floor problem fixed OR at least had any correspondence from the builder on when it'll be fixed. The said that the problem is out of spec and should be fixed but haven't done anything, to my knowledge, to fix it.

Buying home was amazing, getting the items that where on the 30 day list to be fixed seems impossible, I am now thinking that they will not be done unless, I call everyday, which of course I do not have the time! Very disappointing!

We have had multiple issues in our brand new home ranging from many electrical, appliance and HVAC. Our last home was also brand new and we did not encounter one issue. Only lining in our home for one month, I am regretting my decision despite my initial love for the home. Speaking with neighbors, they have also encountered the same making me concerned why there continues to be issues. Dispute all these issues, they all have eventually been addressed and each person has been understanding, kind and professional.

The home buying experience itself was great. Lois was a blessing to work with and the process for me and my wife was as easy as can be. The craftsmanship of the home is where I have the issue. Multiple things built poorly and we are currently awaiting our 30 day inspection so that we can get these critical items fixed and have yet to hear from them on when this inspection will take place. Stairs and floors built poorly, drywall is patchy, windows aren’t sealed and the list goes on. I’m just hoping that they correct their poor craftsmanship at this point so that we can enjoy our home.
