The team was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the process, making every step feel smooth and manageable. Special thanks to Luke and Genny, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of, and to Angie in Sales, whose expertise and support made the home-buying process even better. They were consistently helpful, quick to respond to any questions or issues, and genuinely invested in making this a positive experience. Our experience buying our first home has been extremely disappointing. We were thrilled initially and didn’t catch every detail, but since moving in, we’ve faced issues daily. From a curved wall and crooked outlets to holes in the walls and sloppy paint with drops all over the parquet, the quality has been dismal. The laundry machine was also damaged. It’s obvious they rushed to finish the build just to get paid, without attention to quality or care. This has turned what should have been a happy milestone into a constant frustration. We wouldn’t recommend Richmond America to anyone.

The process was difficult and stressful the lenders are like robots who don't care then call for double or triple documents and the automated system never stops worst experience I've had dealing with a company

When buying a home remotely from Richmond American Homes, I expected a certain level of support and care, especially as a buyer. Unfortunately, the experience has left much to be desired. I closed on my home without being present for the final walk-through or the first two weeks of ownership, trusting that all was in good condition. Shortly after moving in, I discovered that three trees had fallen on the property while I was absent. I asked the builder to stand them back up, which they did, but the trees quickly died. When I reached out to report this, hoping Richmond American Homes might assist with replacement, I was informed that they were not responsible for landscaping after closing. While technically accurate according to policy, it’s disappointing that Richmond American Homes wouldn’t make an exception or even offer guidance for a remote buyer. Having to replace trees that were never healthy from the start is frustrating and doesn’t seem fair, especially given the lack of options for someone who couldn’t oversee every step in person. A bit of flexibility and customer support could have made a significant difference. ... More

Oliver is great to work with. He really helped me get into the place I wanted and helped insure all my conditions were met.

Jessica was friendly knowledgable and honest which we appreciated. One thing I wish was that we had known there were no customizations available to be made when we saw the model homes. Overall I’d rate the experience a 5 star rating. Looking forward to what the community will grow into.

It’s been a great experience! Very well built, quality home. The only thing I would request is options to certain upgrades such as linen closet cabinets, upgraded paint, patio cover and landscaping in the rear of the home .

Our builders representative was not responsive or helpful. Several time requests for information were ignored or delayed.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Regret ever buying a home from them.

The process up until our walkthrough was more difficult and disorganized than it needed to be. With that said, Dave, the superintendent for Sky Village, has been amazing, and he is the sole reason that I have given the 5 stars above. He gave me all of the important info upfront before I asked, he is very responsive and answers all of my questions, and fixed any issues I've had right away. He is always in a good mood, easy to get ahold of, and great to talk to, and I am very grateful that he was in charge of the way that my family's home has turned out. I just relocated from Chicago, by myself… and the Richmond Homes team made it so much easier with awesome service and attention to detail. Janeen was the first Richmond Sales Agent and she is frickn AWESOME!! She made a very tough and difficult part of my life very simple and supported!

My experience was terrible. The workmanship was sub par. The appliances were very low quality. The baseboards and door trim was bottom of the barrel. I have had several issues to get items repaired and all I get is grief. My front landscaping is as cheap as can be. Prior to putting a down payment, your website stated you have a design center that is eager to help, but when I asked about upgrades your team told us they decide our upgrades which were basically none. Would never recommend Richmond American to family or friends based on my poor experience.

We love our new home. Just a couple of things we didn’t like but not enough to sway us or consider negative. Very responsive to issues in the first 30 days . Overall great experience.

Don’t buy a Richmond home!!!!!

No attention to detail. Poor finish work. Worst cleaning for a move in I have ever experienced. Zero customer service 6 weeks after move in. Way over priced
