I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a new home, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the initial search to the final closing, every step was handled with professionalism and care. Overall, buying a new home was a seamless and enjoyable experience. The professionalism, expertise, and genuine care shown by the builder’s team made all the difference. I am now happily settled in my new home and couldn't be more satisfied with the entire process.

First and foremost, I have to appreciate the design of the home and community but the rest part like communication on the overall process especially from the loan department and the quality of workmanship and delivery of home needs a hell lot of improvement. During the walk through you can’t identify the minute details but when you start living, notice like uneven application everywhere, dirty finishes, chipped off paint and cabinets and door, careless work in workmanship and uneven floor. I have been trying for weeks to get a dead tree and plants replace they said they are not under warranty! This is poor service for a house we paid $500 thousand for. What a scam.

It was great working with Henry, he has been accommodating. I believer the in-house lenders need to work in their communication as well as tone towards their customers.

Very nice homes very clean

Their loan department sucks period. Everything else is good. Excellent to CET walk and warranty dept. Dj is on top of it! Sales is excellent as well. For the builder, there are lots of unfinished stuff, DJ of warranty made sure these will all get fix!

The buying experience was great working with Richmond. I do wish for the price you are paying that Richmond could at least finish the fences in-between homes instead of leaving that on the homeowners to work out with new neighbors who have not moved in yet.

Many people warned me that the home-buying process would be stressful, but my experience with Richmond's lender was horrible! Unfortunately, you have to go through them to get the best rates...brace yourself. Now that I'm in the house, I'm okay. I still really like the house, but I am finding negligent things here and there. For instance, there were bumps underneath the carpet. They ended up finding entire bundles of nails leftover by the carpet people! Thankfully, they are pretty responsive and quick about getting things fixed.

We love our new home and we are overall happy in it. The homes and the neighborhood is beautiful and there is plenty of space. It is also very quiet inside the home so even with construction still happening we don’t bear anything when inside. I’m giving three stars because considering how expensive things are, and how experienced Richmond is in building homes, things should be completed by closing and the warranty should be a last option. Instead, Richmond relies on making the buyer file a warranty claim rather than just having everything complete in the first place. If you do need to file a warranty claim you will have to wait 30-45 days before you can even get that process started. ... More

We were so excited, when it comes to the size of the home and location. Salesman Mr. Garrett Luther just awesome to work with. Other than that, build quality can be improved. Covered plumbing underneath the sink should have been caulked to cover them properly. Trim under the island just an eye soring--should not have left the way it was from the start. Run off paint, exhaust tubes for water heater all dirty. Broken gate, water flooding water meter from next door, sprinkler heads left exposed. I wish I could give a higher rating. I hope Richmond can make an improvement from my honest review.

Richmond loan officer was very difficult to work with. Had to wait long periods of time to get responses. Total home purchasing took 3.5 months. Would have liked a definite answer. Was asked to get a separate appraisal then it wasn't accepted. Finally Richmond decided to share their appraisal after 3 months of back and forth on purchasing the home.

It’s was a Great experience

To know what I know now I would have made a different choice in purchasing a new home. Quality of materials Craftsmanship Responsiveness to issues Are all the reasons I would have chosen another builder. I do believe the people who work at Richmond (for the most part) want to do the right thing; however, they are hindered by turn over, horrible contractors and bottom of the barrel materials. This isn’t my first new home purchase from Richmond. Maybe it’s just the community I live in that has these issues. However, I shouldn’t have to overcome turn over and bad contractor issues, that is the responsibility of Richmond and its leadership. The craftsmanship for my home was not up to par. So many cosmetic issues so far and little things that should not fly by an assistant super intendant. They are going to work on fixing the issues but that is now time I have to spend being around for the lack of work that should have been done the first time or after the first walk. Rather sad to see this kind of work get breezed over just because the houses are going up so fast.

Everyone has been busy here, clearly taking on a lot of work. I have seen this before in new home construction. Things get overlooked, not done at all, or flat forgotten about. I am thankful for James, our warranty contact, as he has done a lot for us. We have a long way to go to be fully happy, but we will get there. Praise The Lord for everyone’s hard work here, before, during, and after the builds.

The home buying experience with Richmond American Homes was positive and I was offered a great deal on the house. I was able to close on the house in one month. Raychel was particularly helpful. Issues found on the home inspection were resolved before closing. Dealing with the mortgage company (Home American Mortgage Company); however, was difficult. Thankfully the mortgage was sold right after the home purchase.

Angie out Richmond hopes rep was so knowledgeable and patient with us through the entire home buying process. We were expecting our second child days before going under contract so we were on a tight time frame. Angie made our home buying experience possible and was fantastic to work with Genny and Luke has been a great resource and were fantastic through the process as well. The staff we worked with was the reason we decided to buy from Richmond and have referred others to as well.

Very speedy and smooth transaction, helpful team members and responsive to questions.

Great and less stress

The salesperson in the office was very nice and helpful prior to moving in. However, I found an issue with construction regarding our property. I called the office to check on the warranty and to fix this problem but they never responded back to me. I am very disappointed with the response and still after all this time no one has responded back.

Poor communication and information

From the beginning to the end of the process of the build I wasn’t too happy on the quality of the house. The builder don’t see it as a big investment and brushed away your concerns. Everything on the house you expect to look new and flawless but it’s not. There’s some nail hanging out in front of exterior trimming. There’re some area that needed to caulk were missed. The location of drainage was too close to garage driveway every time I pull in always gotta worry about running it over. The appliance has some dents to it and they still installed it thinking we wouldn’t care. The list goes on. The builder is more focus on building the other houses that is not occupied rather than taking care the house that’s already occupied. Overall bad experience for me. ... More
