With any home your going to run in to issues I have had some issues come up that the Richmond team took care of promptly and with a sense of urgency. I have only had my home for a few months now but everything seems to be going smooth.

Overall, I am satisfied, but there are still some repair jobs pending or with no response yet. I need these fixed or replaced before moving.

I would never recommend this builder. Untrustworthy

Michelle was the second representative I had. She was fantastic she sent new pictures of the my build every week and updates.i do love my new home!

We are very pleased with the purchase of our new home. However We would have preferred that a floor plan option were offered to us before we sign the contract. We saw the model home and we fell in love with the floor plan, but apparently they built the floor plan they had available or they just decided for us. Also the superintendent was not very helpful and nice when we close our house since there were pending issues to be completed in the house that he never took care. Other than that the house is beautiful. There are areas where there were needed more lights like in the living room where they put only one single light! The trees were dead when they delivered the house to us. There were two appliances brand new and already broken. We had to call the manufacturer and have them fixed by ourselves! No assistance from the builder! The backyard lot was not properly delimited so they put the limits like 20 feet less than what our survey plan says. I would say I have no complaints about the way we qualify and financially speaking close the house, but we are not happy with the way the superintendent dealed with the pending finishings of the house. This overall experience has been great. The people that work for Richmond homes are outstanding. My experience with Beth was just great. She even remembers my mom and me from months ago looking at houses. They have been very flexible for everything. Even after purchasing the home, Dorian was great to do the 30 day walk through in which he took every concern with care that needed to be fixed. Thank you Richmond for welcoming me to Vegas that I can now call my forever home!

Several construction delays, quality control issues, cheap materials used, and rushing to complete the house while skimping on quality made this experience a terrible experience for us.

The overall home buying experience was great with the exception of completion of the final walkthrough punch list. We live up north and Candice our Sales Agent kept us appraised of progress and sent pictures throughout the process. She was extremely helpful in coordinating things for us being our "boots on the ground". I was disappointed having to come back down to the house after the final walkthrough only to find several items not completed. As of this writing, we still have a few things not completed and haven't even been scheduled yet. I'm hopeful when we move in, we'll be able to get these items completed quickly. ... More

Underwhelmed but good enough house. Some cheapness in finishes, appliances/AC unit, materials and installation for cost sitting, cutting corners. Dealings were deceptive or non responsive.

Multiple issues found prior to closing. Still not resolved. Once contract to buy is signed, it's difficult to get assistance. Staff is friendly, but limited to how they can help the homebuyer.

Definitely not the experience i wanted to have on my first purchase. No built correctly so many details left out, they rush to built this community they dont care if its good or bad. Terrible experience not purchasing a richmond again. After a month still waiting for things to get fix from blue tape walk. Terrible, terrible!

They had a home that fit me wonderfully and were knowledgeable about the building and buying process. They helped me every step of the way. And, when I found little problems here or there weeks/months after purchase, the superintendent, Mick, was still willing to come over to fix them. They've been great!

The buying experience was awful. It took them 15 months to complete our home. we were the first to sign a contract in the neighborhood and Richmond American decided to deliver our home over 9-12 months after other homes were delivered. They totally took advantage of us because we were out of state buyer. I was moving back to my home state after serving in the Navy for 25 plus years and they way Richmond American treated me was shameful. There were months at a time that I did not hear from an agent because there agent turnover was so high. In the 15 months we had about 5 different agents, during some months we had to call the Nashville office just to get no updates on the building process. Then suddenly …because we were ignored…they wanted to close we get an email settlement letter without heads up, then all kind of people are calling us for closing. The house quality is okay at best. I mostly bought it for the floor plan. I was not able to participate in the initial walk through because I had COVID 7/2024, submitted Dr. note and was told I still had to be there, so the missing for months agent and construction supervisor inspected their own work and called it good. I was able to get out of my sick bed to do the final inspection and was pretty much powerless to anything I found…it will be handled by the warranty company. It was a bad experience, no follow up and lies about what was considered upgrades or not. We had the worse experience

We did have in general a good experience, the buying process was quick, customer service was very good, building materials, and home finishing are good, it stands out from competitors, I would say fairly you buy a better home construction location and amenities, than those offered by other companies.

Do notttt waste time and effort using there in-house financial resources, BRUCE. HE cost me lotsss of money and insensitives.

Candice was a great sales person.

Very Poor experience. They have yet to fix the issues with the home. They give an excuse for everything and push back on fixing items that need to be repaired or replaced. Very poor workmanship. Sliding door is broken, basement floor and carpet are poorly installed, plumbing, foundational issues etc. Buyer Beware!

Fantastic customer service from Brad, Zach and Nicole. From each of their respective areas - couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. Brad and Zach really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Including follow ups to see how we are loving our new home. Appreciate the personal touch. Thank you!

Sales experience was the best part of the process. Sales person responded promptly and often with updates. Overall quality of the home was fine with one major issue and several smaller issues. The major issue was finally resolved after a battle with the builder and the rest of the warranty work is subpar which the neighbors said it would be as they fought the same battles. A month and a half later two of the three are still unresolved and on one I still have not even been contacted. Not sure I would go through this again

We were most disappointed with the spec only process. We were not allowed to pick anything for design or finishes. We were also disappointed when we were told we had a specific lot to find out a new agent to the development sold it to someone else when our agent wasn’t there. We were told we would be updated through email weekly on the progress of the build. We never received an update until the pre-closing walkthrough.

We loved Richmond. And were excited to sign to purchase with them. However, the problems started almost immediately. We would visit often as the home was being built, but kept finding problems. Doorways put in the wrong place, non responses to inquiries about things we were seeing. Eventually, we spoke with the jobsiye superintendent who was very confrontational, and when asked why our completion date was pushed back by a month, responded with "I have up to 2 years to build your house, and I van delay it at any time for any reason, or NO reason!" I was aghast that he would speak to me that way, and filed a complaint with Richmonds main corporate office. He was eventually removed, but damage was already done, and we were met with missed deadlines, no communication. And rudeness up until closing. We almost walked away and took the loss of our deposit, but the realtor for Richmond who was awesome, talked us into waiting. . Now we are in and mostly happy. ... More

I felt everyone from our sales associate, construction sup, loan processor, warranty rep, and anyone else along the way made our first home buying experience wonderful and I would highly recommend Richmond to anyone! Any questions or concerns were always answered promptly and everyone was very professional and easy to work with!
