Gene and Brian were so welcoming and able to answer all our questions and address the concerns that arose. They were available when needed and willing to help any way possible. They made this decision a no brainer, we are so thankful to them.

Dadina was wonderful! From start to finish she answered our questions, met us during off times, provided updates on the build, and provided us with a great experience. 30 days in and the quality of the home is amazing. This is true testament to the superintendent (Steven) and his crew. They kept on schedule to the day which is a remarkable achievement.

I really can't say enough great things about my home buying experience. As a single person buying a home, it was all quite overwhelming but everyone has been so kind and helpful. Brent was amazing throughout the buying process (going above and beyond such as measuring the refrigerator space). Then, the get the house perfect for move in team (I believe his name was Zach) was outstanding -and then I've had a few issues but Nick/Rick have been very responsive and supportive, post move-in. Signed on at dirt lot. Found out later was quick build. No changes allowed. Builder continually stated to not allow viewing at home could be breach of contract. Though found multiple issues, pointed out. Hopefully fixed. Probably hidden issues, Many neighbors raising concerns about builds related to water, water temp, creaks, cracks, builder repairs, false expectations, false repair orders, sub contractor issues with improper installation or any/appliances or other utilities. None of our appliances were tested prior to purchase date as water/gas wasn't turned on.Now with nee 2024 pricing value of build doesn't make sense probably really 150K less value than reality but 2024 is where we are and hopefully our fixes, modifications and they should have fired their curator as options chosen don't make sense. Our walk thru was rushed. After clising someone came and changed our outside circuit breaker. Asked the supervisor and we were told they were just installed to pass the city code. AC breaker now keeps tripping. AC is very uneven and keeps some rooms really cold and others hot. Outside patio lights do not work. Calking is already coming off. On line repair request no respinse!

Overall the buying experience was very good. The let down came after I closed on the home. There were workmanship issues that were found and discussed when I did my initial walk through. At final walk through some were taken care of but others weren't and still haven't been addressed a month later. Communication has been nil. While I understand that this is only one home out of the hundreds they are building it's still important. The sales team was good, and responsive. The construction team started that way, but as the construction neared completion they became less so. I'll see how it goes with the warranty team. ... More

If I had it to do over I’d never buy a house from them. Do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can in the other direction.

Mike was completely attentive and available to us through the whole home building and qualifying process. Albert has been totally responsive to all we need during and following the close of our home. Outstanding service!

Sales agent Brigitte was wonderful and patient with me. Loan officer Jennifer went the extra mile. Superintendent Jesse took personal interest in ensuring any concerns fixed. On top of this great team, I like the home layout, choice of sytles, quality of materials and excellent skillls of the folks who build everything.. This company is run very well from end to end.

Buying experience was good but closing experience was not went very well, I think they need to be more organized, because everyone was waiting for last minute. home design and quality of materials is not good.

We bought a Richmond American model in Florida. We picked the Azure model. My wife and I love it. Our rep Rosemary was wonderful and helped us immensely in picking and buying our home. We have lived in it just over a month and have n o complaints. We stop and look around almost daily and cannot believe we are actually living in such a nice home.

Bought my house at Cascadia Ridge in Estacada, Oregon. Liz and Nikki were always willing to show me around. I kept coming back to see the same house and they kept showing me the same house until I finally bought the house. I worked with Liz and she was always available to answer any questions I had. Prior to closing they fixed everything that was requested from my private home inspection report! After I bought the house Cheri, warranty coordinator was very helpful. She called me after 30 days to see if everything was going okay and went above and beyond to help me register my products (heat pump, furnace etc). I am very pleased. ... More

We just purchased an Idaho Richmond American spec home. Although it was a spec home, we entered into a purchase contract just as the build began. The Richmond sales team was very friendly and reachable in those early days. We signed their contract and completed their down payment early. After that though, everything changed. Now the salesperson and project manager seemed to avoid us. Their prior promises really didn't seem to matter anymore. For example, one promise they made was that the build could be prioritized and the completion date advanced if we needed it. We needed it. Now though, the local Richmond team did the opposite. They seemed to de-prioritize our build. Often nobody worked on the house for days on end. The sales team became nearly unreachable. Once I was told 'if I have two dates to schedule anything, I always pick the later date!' No wonder progress slowed to a crawl. We came to feel the local team's goal was to encourage us to walk away, forfeiting our substantial down payment, and allow them to sell the house again to their next customer. On the day the property closed and we finally took possession (three weeks late), there were a few issues they promised to fix. Nearly a month later and with NO attempt from Richmond to address these concerns, the story repeats itself. They seem to be all about transactions and completely uninterested in relationships. Although the house itself seems fine, if you are considering a build with Richmond American, I would proceed with caution. Many of their verbal promises seem to be voided by their exceptionally long contract. That's my opinion. ... More

We were the easiest buyers ever. We walked in, said we want that house, and were ready to put 20% or more down using "their" lender. Unfortunately their lender Home American Mortgage Corporation is TERRIBLE to work with. Their complete lack of communication with the builder made the rest of the process unbearable. Richmond appeared to want to sell the house as badly as we wanted to buy it, but the lender was more or less useless, and seemed completely disinterested in making the deal work. Once we moved into our new home we have had some issues that still aren't resolved. I think that Richmond needs to realize that this is the thing that could set them apart from all of the other cookie cutter builders, but they choose to just sell the house and hope that the buyer doesn't bother them. I have always build custom, and from now on I will. Builders like Richmond are really nothing more than lending companies masquerading as builders. They bought cheap money and now are looking to loan it. They build mediocre homes so they can lend the money the bought previously out at a higher rate. What they forget is that this is people's homes, not just a play thing. They need to do MUCH better at follow up after the sale. ... More

I would be willing to give perfect score and advise all to work with Richmond Homes if only my overall experience was better. For the price paid, I would expect better after closing customer service, better home/site engineering with less errors and a company that is willing to make customer happy with little effort. Unfortunately, as a buyer, at this stage, I can not recommend this builder due to after closing findings/issues they are unwilling to help. Sales people are helpful and good but it doesn't help much. I really hope they get better in the future, USA needs good and trustworthy home builders. ... More
