I think quality on products in house could be better than what you represent in retail numbers you have a huge buying power for your products. Also your 24 hour policy is terrible with closing escrow arranging move un your expected to get problems reported and then you say it takes 10 days to schedule for problem to get resolve. Jennifer is great at getting problems done. Except you only had 24 hours to report. If you asked would I buy this home again I would honestly say NO. That came with finishes picked and no offer to change anything cost me a lot to make my home . Please better quality quartz that’s the biggest thing for me the quality of the workmanship mainly rough edges can’t be address because I noticed past the 24 hours. Plus had crushed ducting if it weren’t for hiring electrician to wire my spa would have never known it has been resolved took 3 weeks since filing an issue. ... More

If you don’t do any upgrades the quality of material used is very cheap. A lot of simple mistakes are made. Seems like they rush through the process of building these houses. In our experience we had a leak, excess foundation, solar panel box put on wrong, flooring was scratched, carpet was lumpy and you could see the seems, breakers tripping and paint that needed to be redone. They give you a matte finish which scratches and stains very easily. Overall I am happy with my home, just wish everything was done right from the start. This is difficult because not every team should be grouped into a rating whereby their performance and responsiveness is tallied with other groups that do not meet a certain standard. The volume that each team has to handle and move production through the process should not be measured collectively nor grouped with another team whose standards fall short of client expectations. Ratings above need to be grouped into the different teams so each team can be rated accordingly. Overall the Sales team, Design Center, and Finance Teams met our expectations and were an absolute pleasure to work with but once production began, Line Production fell short. Knowing that the vendor / contractors in which Richmond contracts with are an absolute representation of the workmanship and quality standards I hold Richmond to, make your vendor / contractors accountable. If I have an issue with quality and craftsmanship so should Richmond. I shouldn’t have to concede to and/or lower my standards because it is a burden to a Richmond representative or that he/she is just Reluctant to Resolve in managing the quality issues I have with the final product. Defend your clients, not your contractors. Hold them to the same standards of quality and craftsmanship I bought into during the initial purchase phase, especially when thousands of dollars are invested in with upgrades and higher quality materials. ... The main problem with the house is that all the noise from outside feels as if it were inside the house.

The overall look of the home is very nice.. The finishing touches that were done was sloppy and careless in regards to the drywall and painting.

It sounds frustrating that the promised gutter and other items weren't addressed before closing. I have contacted the superintendent to express my concerns and inquire about getting these issues resolved. Nothing has been done yet.

This was my FIRST home buying experience and it went fairly easily. The sales team was exceptional, the loan team was okay, the building team was also fine. The loan team had some gaps in communication throughout the process due to their volume of applicants. The construction team also felt pressed for time and breezed through the inspection but they completed most of the adjustments.

Not too happy with certain problems that I have encountered and still dealing with. I would have hoped for a better experience with the final walkthrough and fewer house problems.

Low quality material repair work are to hard to get done bathrooms are ridiculously small very very unsatisfied.

Overall I had a moderately good experience. I do feel like I had to stay on top of the builder to make sure most of the outstanding items were followed up on before the closing date which I didn't expect with such a short closing period before the holidays. There were also a lot of nails and materials left in the backyard which I didn't anticipate. In general the sales office was helpful and my builder contacts were mostly responsive. they charge for too much that should be included.. adverstising was mis leading.

It was a long process. A lot of endless paperwork-The house is good-a few concerns-they fixed quickly. It was not an easy process. House is in a great location.

Overall our experience with Richmond is good

Deb is always on top of everything. I always got answer and help from her during the purchasing process. After moving into the new house, she still provide help to us.

After submitting warranty issues, have received very poor response to getting items fixed.

Make sure you have contacts available for addressing challenges and issues.

Fit and finish of completed homes should match the model homes but builder is too rushed to complete houses resulting in less than ideal quality. Sales team and building superintendent are knowledgable and very easy to work / communicate with.

Love the house sell person wasn’t honest

Good attention and service from sales staff. Responses on time but not always with solutions. Average quality homes in general. Lack of clarify on timeline, like closing date. Lack of communication in some aspects.

Quick and easy experience for home purchase

The best part of my buying experience was getting a quality house and dealing with a very helpful sales agent. Worse part the incompetent loan company I had to send the same documents multiple times. I have excellent credit it took them forever to approve me. We got close to losing the lock on the interest rate. The construction team were not responsive to close the punch list before the closing date and we moved to a dirty house.

I would like to share my overall experience with the sales and construction teams, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Sales Team: My interaction with the sales team was generally positive. The representatives were attentive and helpful, addressing most of my queries adequately. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more frequent updates and detailed answers to specific questions I had. A more comprehensive approach from the sales department would have enhanced my overall experience. Construction Team: Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team was not great. There were consistent delays, and numerous mistakes were made throughout the building process. I had to bring these mistakes to their attention during my periodic walks of the property under construction. All the mistakes were handled as I brought them to their attention, but still shouldn't have to catch these as a buyer. In addition, the construction team was addressing outstanding issues during the final walk, creating challenges for me to thoroughly assess and sign off on the completed work. I believe there is a need for better coordination and communication within the construction team to avoid such issues. Timely completion of tasks outlined during walk-throughs is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback proves constructive in enhancing future customer experiences. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of my home, although I had to closely oversee the process and the work's quality. We signed for an already started Richmond spec house in June. 2023. Promised to be completed in Aug. 2023, but delayed to what ever the reason is! By the promised time we sold our house by Richmond provided agency and paid rent until the new Richmond home is completed and closed on Oct. 31st. I requested Jaci to consider reimbursement of the rent amount ($3700), but she declined it.

Rob, the superintendent we had in the beginning was absolutely amazing! He provided updates every week on the home building process for us. Alex was our rep was absolutely outstanding with how he handles business and makes the process so smooth. Towards the end of the home building process, we got a new superintendent named John. John lacked communication and hardly ever responded to text messages. He would always tell us text messages were the best way to reach him but never responded back. It got to the point that we had to reach out to Alex numerous times to get a response back from John. There were multiple minimal things that needed to be done with our home. Every time we ask John about updates on when the house damages will be fixed, he always either does not respond to the question or doesn’t respond at all. It’s extremely frustrating. We have been in our home for almost a month now and the damages are still sitting all over our home. We love our home but the lack of effort and communication from John is poor. ... More
